Up from the ashes of the 2016 wildfires.newer, contemporary, in town but private
This is a new rebuild from the 2016 wild fires. It is not your cookie cutter cabin. If I had to start all over I wanted to build in a lot of features that hopefully guests would appreciate beyond the ordinary. The location is in town but private with a view of the mountains and activities below. At night it’s just beautiful from the covered porch or the deck. It is a one level home and is pet friendly. The setting is wooded and peaceful but you feel connected . Although children are welcome it is more geared toward adults. All the appliances as well as the baths are higher end. The decor is a mix of organic contemporary, farmhouse, and modern functional. The home is setup with tech within reason. There is a maximum of six overnight guests that is strictly enforced . All bedrooms have queen beds. The laundry is in a central hallway so everyone has access. I don’t use an outside agency so if there’s ever a problem you can communicate with me directly because I want you to have a pleasant and memorable stay.

A few minutes from the town yet still having some mountain experience. The home was great. Everything worked perfect. Yard was circled off - great for dogs to roam free without running away. Lydia has instructions across the house to make sure you know how to operate everything. She has just about everything you need to enjoy time, cook, relax and enjoy time together. There are bears too! we saw one by the side of the road just hanging out. Need to be careful and walk with a stick and some bear spray just in case.
Everything was perfect :) Lots of small touches that we truly appreciated. Felt like we were at home but in a better place. Super comfortable beds, lots of towels, they even provided paper products and garbage bags. Would recommend for anyone and would definitely stay here again!
We traveled from central Illinois for our Birthdays, fifth visit to area first stay in Gatlinburg and did not disappoint first time seeing bears!! Location was as stated close to everything. Saw 7 bears near cabin 3 in backyard momma a 2 cubs and one in driveway, momma and a cub turning on the road to house
Had a great week-long family vacation here. It was nice to be close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We also loved having the grocery store so close by since we had many meals together at the house. The kitchen was very well equipped.
We absolutely loved this property! Everything was perfect for our stay. The house was very clean, layout was great, beds very comfy and the outdoor space was fabulous! We loved sitting on the back porch and there were even ceiling fans outside, so even though it was super hot out, it still felt great to sit outside and enjoy nature! Would definitely stay here again!
It has been over 20 years since my last visit to Gatlinburg, so much has changed! So glad we found Lynda’s beautiful home for our stay, close enough to the main strip of Gatlinburg, but far enough away to really enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the Smokies! Each day we found a new adventure in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Cades Cove! It was wonderful to come home and play games around the table and go enjoy sitting outside on the porch (so thankful for those outdoor fans!) This was an incredible trip and we have so many amazing memories!
This is by far the nicest rental property we’ve stayed in. The home is every bit as lovely in person. Thoughtful touches abound. She left an abundant supply of towels. The kitchen is completely stocked for cooking at home, which we did. We appreciated the nightlights and labels on all light switches. We brought my 81 yr old mom along. She uses a walker and needs accommodations for limited mobility. We gave her the master bedroom and she was able to use the shower, with care. You will be hard pressed to find an accessible rental in Gatlinburg because of the terrain. Most houses have multiple stairs at the entry and throughout. We also traveled with our little Havanese dog. The yard is designed to be safe for small animals. We didn’t let him out unattended, however, lest he become bear bait. The interior design is exceptionally stylish. We spent quite a while trying to figure out how to buy similar window shades. They’re called zebra shades if you’re curious. The beds were all incredibly comfortable. Make sure to leave the tv off and spend your time watching the backyard instead. 😉. I saw baby bunnies, deer, and cardinals. We spotted plenty of bears in Cade’s Cove and on hiking trails in the park. My only regret about my visit was that I couldn’t take the fridge home with me. What a cool design!
Second time staying at this property. Lynda the owner is wonderful to work with. Actually got to meet her in person. The smoke detector was chirping and she was on it. She came over early hours of the morning to take care of it. Cabin location is awesome. Lots of family fun!!
The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your vacation. Very clean and well taken care of. Communication with owner was excellent and she responded immediately when needed. Home is close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be back !
We.had a great time. The outside and indoors was beautiful. We saw a bear the Sunday after our arrival and the following Friday we saw two bear cubs in a tree, just on the other side of the fence area. We loved the kitchen it was fully equipped plenty of pots and pans, plenty of dishes and silverware. The chalet had plenty of towels. It was surprising to see the chalet was up to date on all appliances, and electronics.
We thoroughly enjoyed this property. We were there for 7 days. Great place for adults. Plenty of room and space to spread out inside and out. Honestly the only thing this place is missing is a spectacular view BUT the wildlife will make up for that. Close enough to everything to get there quickly but far enough that you can bypass some traffic once you figure out how to get around the area. Basically a new home and is nicely furnished I would highly recommend this home for your stay. I will stay here again.
Simply perfect is the best way to describe this place. Everything has been thought of. It felt more like home than a rental house. We had a great time exploring hiking trails and a day at Dollywood! Coming back to this lovely home was icing on the cake each day. One of my favorite things was sitting on the covered patio in the rocking chair watching the birds and relaxing. Location was ideal for getting to all activities and super convenient to the grocery store. Thank you, Lynda, for creating the perfect family getaway in Gatlinburg.
We loved our stay at this beautiful home. Cooper, my little doggie, absolutely loved that he could comfortably be part of our vacation as well. The location was private yet convenient to a grocery store and local tourist attractions.

I’m retired law enforcement from Tampa Florida. I’ve owned this property since 2008. My original cabin burned down to the ground in the November 2016 wildfires along with many others. I survived the fire because I was in Florida at the time where my home there had been flooded by hurricane Hermine. I was ripping out walls and cabinets and throwing out furniture when I got the news of the fire here. It’s taken 3 years to rebuild back because of lack of skilled construction labor along with so many others rebuilding. I’m good now and I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor.
Why they chose this property
It’s new! It’s in town! It’s private! It’s special! It’s NOT COOKIE CUTTER. It’s convenient to everything. (Including close to the only grocery store (FoodCity),urgentcare,Police, and Fire). There’s a trolly stop approx. two blocks away. You’re a mile from the walking area of Gatlinburg, 5 miles to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Dollywood.
