About this property

Sleep where the Shine was made - Enitachopco Creek. Our most requested site!

Rumor has it the more than a few gallons of Shine have been made on Enitachopco Creek. Remnants of stills have been found all across our 138 acre property. Perhaps you will find your own relics as you hike or bike our miles of groomed trails!

Come and enjoy our beautiful camp on the banks of Enitachopco Creek! Our property is abundant with wildlife. (Deer, Turkey, Fox, Bobcat, Coyote, Squirrels, Raccoons and more) Hike our well groomed trails or bring your mountain bikes and cruise through our woodlands.

Enitachopco creek is renowned for red eye bass fishing. You can also try your luck with large-mouth bass and various varieties of bream. Our creeks are easily accessible, scenic and fun for all. If fishing isn’t your thing, sit soak and let the fresh running water cool you down.

Our tent is set up with a queen size bed for your comfort. There is room on the floor for a twin air mattress or two if you need the extra space. Bring your own tents too and pitch standard tents in your camp area if you need additional space, (see "Extras" for cost details).

Although we are a primitive campsite with no running water at the campsite, we try and make you as comfortable as possible. Last year, electricity was installed and may be used for charging cell phones, plugging in cpap machines, operating a box fan and it is also used to run string lights above the firepit area for lighting at night. We have a full service Bathroom in the Bathhouse, which is a short walk from the glamping site and there guests will find a private shower, toilet, and sink (all with hot and cold water and ac).
At the same location is a coffee bar equipped with a Kuerig, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and creamers and sugars.

The quaint towns of Ashland and Lineville are nearby and offer boutique shopping and dining if you decide to leave the property. Be sure and take in the Jeanette's Auction each Saturday Night in Lineville, you won't regret it!

Nearby Attractions:

Talladega National Forest and Cheaha Mountain State Park: Both are short drives and offer miles and miles of hiking and biking trails for all skill levels. Take some time and discover locations like Bald Rock and Salt Creek Falls!

Lake Wedowee and Flat Rock State Park: a short 30 minute drive and you find yourself at one of the South's finest lakes. Weekend's at Flat Rock are something you won't forget!

Talladega Motor Speedway: For the NASCAR enthusiast we are ~ 45 minutes from the track. Enjoy a weekend at the races or take a day and tour the NASCAR museum.

Amazing stay

We loved our little getaway, and definitely recommend it. Our tent was clean and spacious. Andrew was very respondent to any questions we had and I felt very safe. We will definitely be coming back in the summer for tubbing.

Most tranquil and peaceful place we have ever stayed.

Our experience with staying at Camp Hidden Creek was fantastic. There is nothing I would change about it, nor have any complaint. The owner, Andy and his family are the most kindest and sweetest people you will ever meet. They go above and beyond with the best hospitality. We enjoyed getting to know them. If you want to escape the everyday hustle and bustle then go stay alongside the beautiful creek. I can’t say more positive things about it. I highly recommend it and if you enjoy the outdoors as much as my husband and I do you will not be disappointed. We are already planning our next trip.
