A quiet, secluded family, friends and dog friendly getaway—w/2,200 sq. ft of living space, plus a large game room, decks and two-screened porches that overlook beautiful views & sunsets of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Our home is at the end of a dead end road, surrounded by trees, nature and only a quick and easy, 5 min walk down a sand, graveled road, from a private beach access. Where just across the natural dunes you can play in the sand and water, then take a long walk on the beach with your family and friends both two and four-legged.
When you pull up to the house, the driveway provides private parking for up to four vehicles. There is a large outside shower with changing space and a fenced yard with a flowered patio to enjoy and keep your four-legged family members contained. There are stairs off the patio leading up to an outside screened porch and second level entrance.
There is also a ground floor entrance that leads into an enclosed garage with a safe space for all your personal items. In this area, we provide some beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys, beach coolers, beach wagon, a beach pull-cart, a stand up, paddle-board and bikes for your use.
Also on this first level is another room with a checker board table and chairs, futon seating, free-weights and an elliptical machine. Next to this room is a large painted, sea-themed mural, game room with a dart board, ping pong table, tic-tac-toe wall board and foosball table.
The second level includes a fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and libation station which opens into a large dining room with enough tables and seating for everyone. Off the kitchen and dining room there is a large family room surrounded by windows overlooking a big back yard and views of Prime Hook National Preserve and amazing sunsets. In the family room are three comfortable sofas, a table with two chairs, TV, board games, books and videos. On the other side of the house is a den with a sofa bed, rocker-recliner, TV and desk. In between there is a full bath, washer and dryer.
Outside on the 2nd level are two screened porches with patio furniture and a day bed, a wrap around deck with corn hole boards, lounge chairs and a gas grill.
On the third level are four nice size bedrooms (one with a king bed, two with queen beds and one with a twin over full bunk bed), a full bath and deck area.
Another great aspect is you are also close to groceries, great restaurants, micro-breweries, nice golf courses, fishing, boardwalks and other entertainment found nearby in Milton, Lewes, Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany and Ocean City, MD. You can even easily take a ferry over to Cape May for the day if you choose to venture out further.
Don’t forget to stop down at the Broadkill store for some ice cream, homemade donuts, pizza and other sandwiches. Or take a couple mile bike ride South on Bayshore road to Plum Beach State Park and back.
