Cozy Waterfront Cabin! (Garrison Bay Hideaway)

Enjoy this quiet, comfortable waterfront cottage across from historic British Camp National Park with exquisite marine views from every window and stunning sunrises. The master bedroom features a queen bed and a full bath adjacent to the bedroom door.

There is no dock access. This property is situated on a private dead end dirt road across the bay from British Camp National Park. Bring kayaks and paddle boards to take full advantage of this waterfront cabin with a small private beach that is a perfect spot for launching. The dock on the property is not for guest-use. Historic British Camp has miles of trails to enjoy, including an amazing view from the top of Young Hill.

You will find that this rental is the perfect place to spend a romantic week or relax and unwind from a busy lifestyle. Simple, clean and cozy... we know you will find it hard to leave. This home is equipped with a flat screen Smart-Television. Guests are welcome to log in to their own streaming services.

Cook clams, crab and oysters on the outdoor propane barbecue. Within a short distance, you can buy oysters from the oyster farm located in Westcott Bay, which are shipped all over the world.

Fire pits are not usable from May 1st-September 30th due to county burn ban and safety of property and neighboring areas. The ban is usually lifted October 1st if/when conditions and weather are favorable. Firewood not provided.

This home does not have Air Conditioning.

Pets are not allowed at this property.

Please be advised, yard maintenance and occasional neighboring construction may occur during part of the day.

Quiet, Cozy and exquisitely beautiful!

This place was easy to get to and during this time of year felt like it was out of the way like the area was all to ourselves. Gorgeous views of the small bay and English Camp. Close to Roche Harbor. Place was clean and cozy. Plenty of birds to watch. We intend to come back again!

Garrison Bay paradise

We loved the location! Right on Garrison Bay overlooking English camp. So peaceful and clean. Loved the patio and getting to eat breakfast and dinner and have a glass of wine in such a beautiful setting. Very quiet for the most part. The home was quite small but still larger than your standard hotel/motel room and so much more inviting. We would love to stay here again.

Cabin time!

Great stay at the cabin! It was secluded, clean and cozy. Lots of time watching seals play around in the water and checking out the birds. They had binoculars which made the bird and seal watching much more enjoyable. Close enough to drive to the other things on the island as well. Room for 2 adults comfortably.

Unexpected beauty in the PNW.

This property and location fit exactly what we wanted and needed. The view is breathtaking from inside the cabin and the patio is amazing!! There is plenty to do on the island if that is what you are wanting. If you want to escape and just relax, this is the perfect location. Look forward to coming back next year.

Cute cabin in serene location!

We had a wonderful, relaxing getaway at this cute cabin! The location was perfect for us— peaceful and quiet right on the water. The kitchen was well equipped (of note: only a coffee Keurig, no coffee maker!). The tv was dialed in, but we had only brought a set of cards for the rainy weekend. To future stayers- bring board games if you need inside entertainment! Overall, a great place and we loved our stay!

Cozy Cabin for Two!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this cute little hideaway on San Juan Island. It was such a treat with great views, a very functional kitchen, and a great use of such a small space. The only thing I would change is I wish the windowed doors had curtains over them for privacy (especially the back door). It is also a little far from Friday Harbor, but that just made for some fun driving around the island every day.

Wonderful Short Getaway

It was a wonderful stay with wonderful views. A very relaxing mini vacation for us. The only complaint is the bed was uncomfortable for us but it is not an uncomfortable bed simply too soft for our liking. The owners were pleasant and always nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Great little home on a very quiet cove. Location is great because it is away from the loud crowds of Friday Harbor and close to Roche Resort. BEAUTIFUL!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. From the moment we arrived it exceeded our expectations. Stepping onto the little patio watching the seals, otters, and boats we immediately felt ourselves breath. The bed was so comfortable it was very clean and we had everything we needed. We definitely left a little piece of our heart there. Garrison Bay was truly magical.

The Best, relaxing, easy sweet house.

This is a very cute, very well put together little house!! Waking up to all the animal noises as opposed to people noises was a real treat. Better was watching all the otters and their babies while having coffee on the beautiful patio. The house is in an inlet so fun to see the boats come in and out. We loved kayaking but not sure about being able to go around the corner for coffee in them;}. REAL TREAT!!!!

Beautiful, Relaxing View with Great Hosts

Our stay was wonderful. The house is off the beaten path but still easy to get to everything. We spent the evenings outside on the porch just watching the water. It was quiet and peaceful. We debated staying here or in Friday Harbor. Glad we chose this place. You do need a car to get there! The house had basics but everything we needed. There were kcups for coffee. We slept well. There is a lot of light in the morning but it didn’t bother us at all. Wonderful hosts who were kind and welcoming! Highly recommend this place.

Not Enough Time

We so wanted to stay longer! We were on the island for a wedding so this little gem was only a pit stop. But oh what a lovely pit stop!!!! So quiet and peaceful!!! Would have loved some written in structions for TV and washing machine and coffee maker. We older folks aren’t as intuitive as we used to be! Still 5 stars every day!

Pros: secluded neighborhood, waterfront, well-stocked, nice back patio with fire pit, quiet part of the island. Cons: no drapes/blinds on doors (very bright in the morning, no privacy), no bedroom door, not private (present owner lives next door), loud construction noise, inconsistent messaging (sign says hand wash dishes but they left dishwasher tabs on the counter), parking very difficult, mattress caves in the center.

It has an incredibly well equipped kitchen as well as laundry and bathroom. The bed is cozy and very comfortable. We enjoyed watching seals, boats coming and going, hiking at English camp, slow mornings, and grilling dinners outside. Even though there was construction going on next door, we hardly heard it and it was no bother at all. Can’t wait to stay at this snug little hideaway again!

Quiet scenic retreat

This stay was very good overall - excellent for 2 people. The view, the privacy, the peace and quiet, and the quality of the kitchen and bath wares were all appreciated. The wifi internet connection was solid and fast. Instructions and guidance on the cabin and water usage were good to see and accessing the cabin was straight-forward. The bed is soft as reported in other reviews but that’s a matter of personal preference. For cyclists, the last 200m of the access road is dirt and steep so be prepared to walk bikes that last distance. For kayakers, launching in the bay would be easy - the next time we visit we will certainly rent some kayaks. To save water, we used a pot in hand-washing dishes - a dishwashing tub that would fit in the sink would be a minor addition to the kitchen wares. It would have been nice to have met the owners to express our thanks in person. All in all, this was a little gem of a stay and we hope to return one day.
