Best place to live the Hawaiian life

If you expect the Hilton stay there. This is a perfect place to experience living in Hawaii. Peaceful and falling asleep to waves hitting rocks is the best I could sit in yard all day. So beautiful, had all the items you needed for a comfortable stay A double bed instead of 2 twins would have been nice for the second couple but we made do. Washer and dryer was very handy. Thanks much

Amazing and most relaxing vacation.

The property was very clean. The location was amazing if you are into relaxing, scenery, and avoiding the busy touristy and party scenes. Every morning i started it off whale and dolphin watching with a mug of coffee in my hand and not one car horn our loud neighbor to be heard. Every evening I ended my day relaxing on the hammock listening to the waves crash on the rocks with no sounds of city life to taint the vibes. Our very first evening there we saw whales, seals, and sea turtles. The property care taker, Bob, was very attentive and adsolutly adorable. I will definitly be returning to this property.

on the water

Pros: on the water, view, kitchen, cozy shower, property manager, peaceful, clean surfaces, washer and dryer, soaps Cons: uncomfortable beds and pillows, front door has gap that bugs can come through, carpet and couch don’t seem like they can be cleaned properly, no hammock, loud AC in master bedroom although we enjoyed our stay, we would try somewhere else if we came to oahu again

Slice of heaven

Beautiful views of the ocean puts this place as a slice of heaven. Quiet and private little getaway. Everything you need is right here. Enjoy a fire by the ocean and watch the whales, turtles, seals, sunset and the stars right in the back yard. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy our getaway.

Wow, the view is phenomenal!

Only 2 complaints 1) Beds are firm 2) Lengthy drive to the other parts of the island. 1 hr + Perfect view of ocean, and we were here for whale season. Saw spectacular breaching and blow holes and tails. Took many photos throughout the island. The best ones taken were here. Will definitely book again if given the chance. Bob was a delightful host and very accommodating.

Our week on the Leeward side

If you want to just chill out this is the place to be. Being able to have coffee in the morning sitting at the ocean’s edge and being able to watch the sun set at night was incredible. Great little neighbourhood and the beach just a walk away was incredible as well.

Beautiful location close to Makaha Beach

I stayed here with three adult family members and this place was perfect for us. Beautiful view of the ocean from the living room and the yard. We watched the sunset from the yard every evening, and had our coffee there each morning. Bob, the host was very attentive and checked to make sure all was up to our expectations. The house was basic, but very well-equipped. We were very comfortable there and extremely happy with our choice!

Hideaway Gem

Nice little hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle. Car required as it’s a drive to everything except the beach. Caretaker Bob lives close and was helpful with anything we required of him. Ample room for small family (we were 4 adults). Ample supply of cooking and eating utensils and an assortment of basic ingredients to get a feed cooked up. It is a little dated, air conditioner’s could use an upgrade also bring your own swimming gear. Enjoyed our stay here, loved the privacy with the ocean frontage

Relaxing Oceanfront Getaway

Loved drinking our morning coffee and unwinding in the evening with the ocean right there providing great view, rhythmic waves and pleasant breeze. Also a great view of the nearby mountain peak in the opposite direction.

Great if you know what you want

If you want these things, this is *the* place to stay: - privacy - peace and quiet - ocean-front - walk to beach - no loud nightlife nearby - far from other tourists and tourist attractions

Beautiful Ocean View!

Bob (caretaker) was very attentive and quick to respond when needed. He even shared some of his fresh mangos- yum! Beds and furnishings were comfortable, and it was easy to whip up meals in the kitchen. Excellent to have use of both a dishwasher and washer / dryer! The interior of the home could use a deep clean. The yard was excellent, and we all enjoyed the ocean view. Easy to get to sandy beaches for swimming.

Beautiful Vacation Home in a Quiet Neighborhood with Amazing View!

We absolutely loved this place - the location, the proximity to the beach, and THE BACKYARD. We spent a lot of time in our back enjoying the view of the ocean and the amazing sunsets. The only downside is that the property is a bit of drive to get to some of the other parts of the island, but well worth the trade off. The property manager, Bob, was really helpful as well! All in all, we would love to come back and stay again!

Amazing

If you are looking for a laid back experience with incredible views, you can’t beat this property. The back yard overlooks the ocean. You can sit and just watch the waves roll in, and probably catch a glimpse of some sea turtles. Bob the caretaker is helpful and friendly. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The property is 1/2 hr from Ko’Olina with good restaurants and shopping, and an hour from Honolulu. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

A lovely property! If you want to be near Honolulu, it can be a bit of a drive with traffic. The property manager is close by and so helpful with any questions or concerns.

Picturesque

We LOVED this property. It was very clean and it accomadated our family very well. There is a very nice beach just a half mile down the road. There is not beach sand at the house which we figured since there wasn't pictures but I thought I would mention it. Our adult kids did have fun climbing down and exploring the rocks below and checking out the crabs and fish in the little pooled areas. There is a bunk bed in the living room area with a full bottom bunk and a twin upper bunk. This bed is also not pictured but it does exist. We would definitely stay here again, the picturesque view is amazing and we loved watching the sunset and the waves roll in. This property was about an hour from Honolulu/Waikiki so it is a bit of a drive to do all the touristy stuff. We were there the first week of March during the end of whale season and we saw whales spouting in the distance from just sitting in the yard. We really enjoyed this property and our trip to Hawaii.

Great family get-away!

We really enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for 2 adults and 4 teens. Our family spent a lot of time in the back yard taking in the ocean views. It was our kids' first time in Hawaii, so we did a good amount of driving back and forth to other areas on the island doing touristy things, but the beach at Ka'ena Point (a few minutes North of the house) was our favorite. We wish we would've spent a few more afternoons/evenings there. The owners were easy to communicate with and accommodated an extra night's stay beyond what was available on the calendar. Property Manger Bob is a real gem and quite helpful with any questions we had about the area. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Stay and Location

If you are looking for a beautiful location out of the way of the madness which is Honolulu, this is the place. The location is absolutely perfect. From the time we arrived, we saw humpback whales, sea turtles, and dolphins. The home is safe and secure. The front of the home is mostly coral reef and my children enjoyed playing in the tide pools. The sandy beach is easily reached by walking or driving. The sandy beach is safe and has lifeguards. The neighborhood is quiet. We had all the room we needed for our family. The washer and dryer was a definite plus. Having a full kitchen saved us money and it was amazing having breakfast and dinners outside watching the ocean. Bob(property manager) across the street checked on us several times and was very kind and helpful. If you want tons of people, high prices and aggravation, stay in Waikiki. If you want a truly relaxing experience, this is the place to stay. The house is very basic, but has every amenity that you would ever want or need. It was very clean. It is a little out of the way, however almost all points on the island can be reached in an hour or less if you rent a car. I would rent this again, and after staying here we are looking for a place around the area to buy!

Cozy home with stunning view and attentive hosts in paradise!

My boyfriend and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to nest for a week in this super cozy and idyllically located rental. Glen and Lara were very communicative, made checkin simple, and made sure that we had every necessary comfort and then some. Their neighbor, Bob, is also a very sweet man and made him self available in case we might have needed something. What a treat it was to fall asleep and wake up to ocean waves crashing, cook breakfast in a fully equipped kitchen, drink tea and watch the waves break from a sprawling well kept lawn, and walk down the street to world class waves. We can't wait to go back!
