VRBO Mammoth

Overall good. The location was convenient, and access to a locker at Canyon Lodge was a real plus. It wasn't clear that the unit was up two flights of stairs, but that wasn't a big issue. It was overall smaller than one would imagine from the photos. Only two of the stove burners were functional. It was quiet and clean, if a bit dated. Property management company was responsive to questions and got a burned out bulb fixed within a few hours. Easier, however, would have been to have spare bulbs available on site, as well as a few more garbage bags and enough dish soap to last the week... as is the case most if not all of the other places I've stayed.

Great stay in Mammoth

Great location in Mammoth Lakes within easy walking distance of Canyon Lodge. Checkin was easy and host instructions were clear. The condo looks exactly like the pictures and was clean. Kitchen and bathrooms are updated and kitchen is well stocked. The beds and bedding are comfortable. Yes, the unit is on the second floor with three flights of stairs; the first flight is about 17 stairs and the tread is narrow. The remaining two flights are about 7 stairs each. The stairs are easy to navigate as long as you don't have any mobility issues but be mindful of the amount of items you have to bring inside. A parking spot inside of the garage is provided; however, again, be mindful of the height of your vehicle. There is parking outside available.

Gorgeous condo in a great location walking distance to the lifts. Beautifully decorated, clean, and has all the supplies you may need. Also, loved that it was dog friendly! Would definitely stay here again!

This was an excellent property in terms of being nicely updated with a new kitchen, contemporary decor and very clean. The towels and bedding were so white and spotless. The two bathrooms were updated and pretty. Overall, a great stay!

Lovely Mammoth Retreat

The Alpine High Retreat was the perfect getaway for our family of four. The check-in process was easy. I had a couple of questions and the property management responded immediately. The unit was the perfect size for our family, though it could sleep more than four people. VERY clean and comfortable. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need if you feel like cooking. Each room has a TV with all the access you might want. The location is beautiful, up the hill from the Village, but tucked away from the main street. Beautiful views from the balcony, where we enjoyed our morning coffee. All in all, a great experience! Thank you!

The unit was nice, great water filter, bed was very comfortable. The building needs an update. We recommend the Austrian house and the Harmony Brazilian restaurant, which is new in town both are fantastic.

Awesome stay, minutes from Canyon Lodge

The condo is conveniently located near the Cannon Lodge and served as a great home base for our ski trip. We were able to fit 4 adults and 2 kids very comfortably, with plenty of space to spread out during our down time. The kitchen was very well equipped and in great working condition. Would highly recommend to anyone planning their own family trip in the future!

Great decor and comfort

The apartment looks great. Beds are confortable and appliances are new. A 5th chair is really necessary. And it is good to know that there are 2/3 stairs to get there. So better bring small duffles. Hope to go back again. Unfortunately we were forced to leave 1 day in advance because of blizzard threat and we got no discount. It seems to me that weather conditions in such places should be considered.

Summer in Mammoth

This is a clean, beautifully updated condo at Mammoth Ski and Racquet. The beds were super comfortable, kitchen was amazing and loved the floors. Perfect for our family and dog. The location has great views but a long steep walk up from the trolley stop plus very steep stairs to the condo. Pack accordingly if you plan on staying there.

Spring ski get away

Had a great time at this place a super short drive to Canyon Lodge. Very well appointed and very comfortable and was spotless upon arrival. Truly recommend this townhouse, it was fantastic!

We loved it

The condo was great! The location was excellent. We walked to Canyon Lodge and skied back to the condo. We also walked to the town center for dinners. Communication with the property managers was fantastic. The stairs everyone seems to mention didn’t bother us. The only thing to know (as others have said) is the second bedroom is a loft open to the downstairs. It didn’t bother our boys but good to know before you book. We would stay here again. We are a family of five and it was the perfect size. I personally loved watching the gondola, an added bonus.

Perfect for family travel

This place is exactly as the listing. Close to canyon lodge. It is not super spacious but perfect for family of five travel. You need to drive uphill to the property, so prepare your snow chain on a snowy/icy day. Pack light, as they are three flights of stairs before reaching the unit, no elevator!
