About this property
Beautiful Corner Cape only One Mile from the Beach!
Please note, from Memorial Day through Labor Day, we only accept rentals that start and end on Saturdays; we also require that your minimum stay is one week. After Labor Day, we are more flexible with start and end dates as long as their is a 5 night minimum stay.
This beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is the perfect mix of classic Cape Cod architecture and charm with modern comforts and amenities. This property is in an ideal location for all of the great activities the Cape has to offer. Walk to the end of our road for easy access to the Bike Path. First Encounter Beach is just 1.5 miles from our driveway and Great Pond is about 2 miles away, a quick bike or car ride. Great Pond (Wiley) is a beautiful freshwater pond with a designated swimming area, perfect for families. Our location in the town of Eastham is very central to the many activities the Cape has to offer: Provincetown is a 30 minute drive; the town of Wellfleet is just 10 minutes away, where you can watch a movie at the Wellfleet Drive In or shop around at the Wellfleet Flea Market; go for a beautiful scenic drive to Chatham for quaint shops; enjoy fine dining in many of the downtown Orleans restaurants only 5 minutes away. There are three National Seashore Beaches within a 5-10 minute drive. The National Seashore Beaches are also accessible via the bike path from the house.
Our home is situated on a corner lot with the driveway on a private, seashell lined road. The backyard is quite expansive with area to set up for horseshoes. There is also an outdoor shower (not enclosed, but perfect for rinsing off after the beach) and sizable deck with seating for 10 to enjoy the fresh ocean air. The house has just under 1400 sq ft of living space. The downstairs features a modest sized kitchen which is open to the family room. Kitchen table is set up for 6 but can accommodate 8. The main level includes a full bath and two bedrooms. Upstairs has another full bath and two more bedrooms. Some of the appliances are original to the home but are in great condition, giving the kitchen a retro feel. Parking will accommodate 3-4 vehicles.

We are a family of 5 that lives and works north of Boston. We have been visiting the Cape every year for family vacations long before our kids were born, with our own extended families. The Cape, and Eastham in particular, holds a special place in our hearts.
Why they chose this property
When the previous owners of the property informed us they were selling this home, we didn't hesitate. Our family had been renting it for the previous 5 years, and we knew it well. The location is great, it has a comfortable feel to it, and we love going back again and again with our kids as they grow up.
