About this property
Spectacular Home and Vineyard Westside Paso Robles Wine Country
Welcome to Hacienda Robles Estate & Vineyard located on the Westside of the Paso Robles Wine Country. This magical 5-acre estate is canopied by a grove of 500-year old oak trees, over 100 olive trees, a vineyard and lavender and rosemary fields. The Hacienda Robles Estate is a short 2 minutes from Vineyard Drive, the gateway to over 300 critically acclaimed wineries, 5 minutes to Tin City, 6 minutes to Firestone Walker and other award winning breweries and 8 minutes to the Paso Robles Square, offering fine dining and boutique shopping.
Hacienda Robles was the last home designed by California Signature Architect Marcel Sedletzky. After you after driven through the intricately designed iron gates and parked in front of the arched courtyard gates you will see the parabolic arched elements for which Sedletzky was known. Hacienda Robles Courtyard is immediately welcoming. The hand curved trellises, the drought resistant, yet lush, landscaping and gurgling fountain, all create an ambience that invites you to enter hacienda robles. Once you open the heavy wood front doors it is evident that architect marcel sedletzky certainly understood the "wow factor." the parabolic arched ceiling, the arched windows, the hand carved curved handrail and staircase descending to the sunken living room and dining room are nothing short of breathtaking. Through the plantation shuttered windows is the vista to an oak grove landscape. Sink into the custom-made leather sofas in the living room. Relax and sip a glass of Central Coast wine as you enjoy the talaveras tiled fireplace. On the shadow box coffee table, you will find the book on Marcel’s architecture and life and the original model of the house. The dining room is intimate and elegant. The dining table has 2 leaves and can easily seat 10 on the comfy leather chairs.
The Capital professional gas 6-burner stove, with 2 ovens and griddle, will satisfy the most demanding of cooks. The mid-century danish walnut table can comfortably sit or use the 4 leaves and it can easily accommodate a dinner party of 12.
As you enter the pool area from the Tiki Lounge you will immediately notice the incredible workmanship of the ceiling and skylights. Recently re-plastered with Pebbletec and new Talaveras tile, the 30 X 15 Pool is 4 feet deep so it is perfect for swimming laps or just floating. Relax in the intimate attached soak pool after a hard day of sightseeing, shopping, hiking or wine tasting while listening to your favorite tunes on the sonos surround sound system. Escape to the Tiki Lounge and relax on the teak sectional to watch your favorite movie or sports event on the 60" smart tv with Sonos Surround sound. Decorated with vintage Hawaiiana this is the perfect spot to sip that chi chi and munch on those pupus!
Entering the Master Suite you will note Marcels’ reoccurring theme of parabolic arches with rounded walls and arched windows to best enhance the outside beauty. Peek through the arched plantation shutters to discover the view of the oak tree glade, patio and garden. The ensuite master bath carries through the magnificent Talveras tile work that is seen throughout the home – the large shower is stocked with organic soap, shampoo and conditioner. From your outside deck, sip your morning coffee or enjoy your evening glass of Central Coast wine as you drink in the beauty of the 500-year old oaks and overlook the outdoor kitchen and patio.
Tropical Dreams will transport you to your own paradise – decorated with vintage Hawaiiana relax in your king size bed with Tommy Bahama duvet cover. Your ensuite Talaveras tiled bathroom, with private shower, is stocked with organic soap, shampoo and conditioner kind to your body, hair and our septic system. Tropical Dreams features a private entrance from the courtyard and private outdoor lanai with vintage chairs. The Lanai offers beauty and solitude as you sit amongst the potted banana trees. Mai tai anyone?
Retro or just timeless mid-century musings will delight any "mad men" fan. Vintage 1960’s movie posters, jere-style metal wall art, harris strong tiled wall plaques adorn the walls of mid-century musings. The recently refinished mcm martinsville dresser and nightstands, the turquoise shag rug, the hot pink furry pillows on your queen-sized bed or the zenith clock radio and lava lamp will make you feel like you’ve stepped onto the set of "bewitched." sit outside on your private veranda in the original Hermann Miller wire chairs and enjoy the beauty of the oak trees and entry courtyard.
Long day of hiking, wine tasting, or shopping? Zen retreat offers a calming and soothing respite. The asian artwork and artifacts, vintage kimono, antique tansu or john-richard asian fan shadow boxes are just some of the elements that create the peaceful ambience. Lie in your queen sized bed and gaze out your windows to the serenity of nature. Right across the hall from mid-century musings and zen retreat is the talaveras tiled shared bath. Across from your deck is a view of the vineyard... Bring your yoga mat and start the day with the sun salutation. Namaste.
Casita Vino is the private apartment attached to the main house beyond the pool. It has its own separate front entrance. The 1,200 square foot Casita has a full kitchen, living/dining room with smart tv, integrated Sonos System and gas fireplace. The kitchen has a double oven, cooktop, full refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal and washer and dryer. It is full stocked with plates, pots and pans and cooking essentials. From the back entrance you are steps away from the pool and the fire pit - from the bedroom you can look out onto the Cabana and Bocce Ball and Badminton Courts. The bedroom features carries through the same design elements of Hacienda Robles and has a king size bed, two full closets and an extra large dressing area with two vanities and sunken shower bath. Casita Vino is decorated with Central Coast artwork and the bookshelf is filled with books on wine and the Central Coast. We have gathered a display of information on many of our favorite wineries nearby. Even the bedroom floor is cork!
As you descend the circular drive you will understand why Marcel chose to build the house at the bottom of the hill. The beauty of the trees and walking paths invite you to partake and relax! Enjoy the peacefulness of the oaks as you sit in the custom-made willow chairs or venture to the picnic table next to the grenache and enjoy the view of the park. This amazing outdoor kitchen/patio area is over 2,500 sq ft and is surrounded by a forest of majestic 100-year-old oak trees. Meticulously designed with the top barbecue equipment and tiled countertop and bar this kitchen will delight even the most critical chef! Sit in the comfy sofas or by the fire-pit as you plan your next day's activities while the chef(s) make a meal in the expansive outdoor kitchen. The 900 sq ft kitchen is outfitted with the top of the line barbecue amenities. A natural gas fire magic grill with rotisserie - a fire magic charcoal grill with smoker - a fire magic natural gas 2-burner side-burner - a fire magic refrigerator - stainless steel sink - stainless steel pantries and drawers and italian fontana stainless steel wood burning pizza oven! For meals, enjoy one of the two dining tables which easily seats 8. At dusk, the Edison string lights will magically light as you listen to music on the outdoor speakers and admire the stars. If it is a little brisk, light the designer-colored outdoor heaters or sit by the fire pit.
Across the walking bridge and sheltered under the oaks and surrounded by glorious japanese maples is Parque de Bola. Badminton or Bocce Ball or a picnic under the oaks...a good time is guaranteed for all!
What is more fun than gathering around the fire pit at night to exchange stories of the day and enjoy a s'more or two? The gas fire pit comfortably seats 10 people and will warm you on even the coldest nights!
Just down the steps from the fire pit is Cabana Rosa. A secluded, covered deck with comfy sofas and a bistro table and chairs for two! Humans and hummingbirds alike, love the fountain at Cabana Rosa. Sheltered under the oaks and surrounded by the lovely rose garden, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a private breakfast or afternoon siesta!
Under the oak canopy alongside the creek is the Meditation Labyrinth and Buddha Fountain. This soothing spot gives you time to reflect on the beauty of nature. Walk the small labyrinth or sit on the turquoise rock bench and enjoy the peacefulness of this special spot.
GSM! Grenache - Syrah - Mourvedre - these are rhone varietals that has made the Templeton Pap AVA famous - 2019 is our first vintage! Picnic in the Grenache Vineyard at the large Farm Table made from reclaimed wood or at the more intimate Mourvedre Picnic Table. or stroll in the Oak Park on the DG paths or sit and enjoy the view in one of the custom made Willow Chairs.
The Organic Garden is laden with seasonal veggies such as tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, zucchini, artichokes and more! Herbs, lavender and rosemary offer nectar to the honey bees and pomegranate, olive, meyer lemon trees and passion fruit vines line the fences surrounding the garden. Truly a feast for the eyes and stomach!
