Had a lovely time at this cottage! Host was quick to respond and very helpful. Cottage had a great view of the lake and was very comfy. Would stay again!
Daniel and his wife were great hosts. It was a bit cold (and very smoky from the forest fires), so we were unable to enjoy the lake, but their place is close to a bunch of nice little towns, and not far from Collingwood, making it a perfect, not too touristy, destination.
Good.spot for.weekend getaway, we were in area for ski competition and this spot worked great for us. If we had more time we would have explored the area more. Accomodatioms were great for our purpose.
A lovely month alongside the beautiful shores of Brewster lake. Our hosts were perfect - friendly and respectful of privacy. Felt like we had known them for years.
Myself and three friends stayed for two nights and absolutely loved this cottage!
The furniture was comfortable without crowding the space, and the sheets were very soft. Everyone reported that they slept well both nights.
The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to prepare our own food (although we also enjoyed several local restaurants and take-out options).
The chairs on the dock were a great addition and the private beach would be great in the summer. Perhaps my favourite feature was the wood stove in the living room, which warmed the space and smelled wonderful.
The unit is large and each room has its own heating source. Given that the floors are tile, you will want socks or slippers if you are worried about cold feet.
My only suggestion for improvement is a deep cleaning. For example, the bathroom walls need a scrub, and the furniture in the living room needs a thorough vacuuming.
I would love to return to this property in the near future. My friends and I are already talking about making it an annual trip!
Felt like home! Great view from the windows, clean, has everything you need. Hosts were super kind and welcoming to us. A great place to rest and relax after a busy day on the mountain. Wished we had booked another night!
Awesone view of the lake from the comfort of a cozy chair and wood burning fireplace
Lovely property with its own snow shoe trails in the woods and on the lake. Owners attended to all our needs and provided extensive knowledge of local hiking, snow shoeing, cross country trails. It proved to be a dog's paradise too
We had a great time this past weekend staying at Dan's cottage. It was quite spacious and the extra bed in the kids room help me keep them company while they settled in. It was super clean, quiet, and close enough to Blue Mountain to be a short drive. We will definitely stay there again, perhaps to see what the summer offers!
Daniel was very kind and waited up to welcome us even though we arrived late. He gave a very comprehensive and helpful list of shops and restaurants in the region and the accommodation itself was very nice - spacious and comfortable.
This property, the hosts and overall stay was fantastic! I highly recommend. If you are looking for a cozy place to escape the hustle and bustle and want a stress free experience this is the place! The location is beautiful, surrounded by woods that you are welcome to explore and set on a lake. The property itself was extremely clean, comfortable, and we were provided with everything we needed plus more (including Netflix! Shampoo/conditioner/soap, and basic cooking needs like olive oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, lots of towels/extra pillows). Our host, Dan, truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The place was already cozy, lights and heat on, when we arrived and he sent us several lists of recommendations of entertainment and eateries in the area. He was also readily available via the VRBO app, replying immediately if we needed anything. While the host family lives upstairs we still felt completely secluded and had the space to ourselves in the basement. It is also quite warm (we went in the winter) and has great natural lighting despite being a basement apartment. 10/10! You won't regret it!
