About this property

Seclude Falling Cashews, Goa

A sleepy Goan Village, a bird sanctuary, an 80 year old Portuguese villalovingly restored, a love story, an abandoned boat now made into an outdoorbed, A mango tree overpowering the garden, a balcao, a lily pond, a naturalpool, a fresh seafood catch meal, a zillion stars and a bright moon visiblefrom the glass roof openings, the sounds of ripe cashews falling from thetree onto a tiled roof and of course... You.Break away from your city life with its nerve jarring noises, grime and thatconstant annoying feeling that you are getting late for an appointment orforgetting something important. Shift gears and get to the Goan ‘susegad’ wayof life, for a few days.So now, most of Goa has become synonymous with crazy beach parties, clubs, noise, traffic, loud music et al just like any other city.  A chilledout and laid back, content existence is nowhere to be seen on the tourist map.The original Goan villas with their heavily borrowed Portuguese architecture havegiven way to modern apartments and houses. So here is a secret...Seclude Falling Cashews, Chorao, Goa... So secretive thatlot of locals don't even know where it is.

Break away from your city life with its nerve jarring noises, grime and that constant annoying feeling of being rushed. Shift gears and get to the Goan ‘susegad’ way of life….

What makes this property unique

Chorao is a quiet island in the Mandovi River, known for the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, where visitors spot eagles and purple herons and explore mangrove marshes by kayak or dugout canoe. The rest of the island is dotted with colonial villas, small Hindu temples, and whitewashed Portuguese churches like Our Lady of Grace and the 16th-century St. Bartholomew’s. A handful of low-key eateries serve unfussy Indian food.
