Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure, looking to do some hiking, shopping, or being an art or history connoisseur, you cannot find a better or more luxurious place to enjoy all the excitement and opportunities Santa Fe has to offer than the Water Street Residences. They are located in a downtown historic landmark building located just 450 feet from the famous Santa Fe Plaza. These are split level homes located upstairs from the well known local store Doodlet's and across the street from world-renowned businesses such as Cafe Pasqual's, Market Steer Steakhouse (Hotel St. Francis) and Coyote Cantina and Cafe.
Originally built in the early 1870s, this was a very significant building that was transformed first into a hotel in order to attract guests traveling through Santa Fe on the new western railroad. This building sits within Santa Fe's Historic District and has had a multitude of prior uses such as a hotel, laundromat, and cobbler's shop. It has since been renovated into retail on the ground floor and residential on the second and third floors.
This amazing unit is located in downtown Santa Fe, and therefore some basic street noise can be expected, but we do have white noise applications on the televisions if needed. There is one free parking pass provided that gives you parking access in the lot just across the street.

This place was phenomenal. The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere. It’s close to the plaza, church, eateries and bars, not to mention places to shop. The unit was classy, well decorated and spotlessly clean. Only improvement would be to get the elevator fixed. It was a challenge for 5 ladies 70+ years old to get the suitcases up the first set of stairs! No worries, we took it in stride. We loved this place and would highly recommend it. Thank you so much.
This 3 BR 3 BA condo is spacious and beautifully furnished. We were 3 couples and all had enough room and privacy. The location is close to the Plaza, Canyon Road Arts District, the Capitol, and major museums. Highly recommend!
The property is 5 star. The location is incredible. Enough space for everyone and ample space to host a dinner for in town family. Plenty of ammenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Check in was easy, parking was easy for the car with the parking pass, beds were comfortable. High end fixtures, doors, and furniture. Only a few cons, the elevator was not working so anyone that struggles with 2 levels of steep stairs should be wary. Additionally, due to the parking situation there is no loading and unloading zone - you have to walk with all of your luggage, groceries, etc. across the street and then up 2 flights of stairs to the bedrooms. If you’re traveling with a second vehicle the parking is around the corner and down the street (via paid structure parking @$12-15/night). The final minor con is the constant blasting of reggaeton music coming all day and evening from the rooftop bar across the street Coyote Cafe. Other than that it was beyond amazing. Excellent access to all downtown. We will be staying here again.
Beautiful spot in wonderful location. Everything was first rate. Be sure and visit Coyote Cafe, literally across the street, and ask for Robert, a manager, for the dining experience of your life.
Great location - within walking distance to everything. We had a small issue with the air conditioning upon check in. The after hours property management team responded within 30 minutes, followed up the next morning and called us two times after to check in ensuring we were satisfied. (Vastly exceeded expectations) — Not only do I recommend this to others, I am certain we will stay here again.
The location of the property was perfect, we could be right in the hustle and bustle of the square and back in our cozy condo in seconds! Loved the huge king size beds in every room and adjoining bathrooms! Everyone had all the space and privacy they wanted and needed! Decor was beautiful and the condo was extremely clean and well kept! We will definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay in Unit C. Everything about the unit is done perfectly. The only thing we could imagine would make it better is if it had a balcony or rooftop deck. Absolutely beautiful!
If you are looking for a fantastic, central location to visit Santa Fe, you can not do better than this! Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and all the amenities you need are there.
All was good with only a couple of concerns. The dining room chair at the end of the table was an accident waiting to happen. Totally rocked back/forth - broken. Dirt in the window sill of bedroom to the left of the landing.
Other than that it was wonderful.

We loved everything about our stay at Water Street Unit C.
We loved everything about our stay at Water Street Unit C. We were ideally located in the heart of Santa Fe, yet the unit was quiet and restful (except for morning trash collection and some am neighbor noise through the walls). High-quality, solid construction, nicely furnished, and well-lit.
The stylish bathrooms and skylights were terrific - loved the bathtub and showers. The amenities were nice, too. Large closets, comfy beds. Air conditioning worked well (was just noisy when it turned on).
Middle-sized upstairs bathroom (with black & white tiled shower): No hot water.
One suggestion: We enjoyed cooking our tailgate dinners for the opera while staying in the unit. Great kitchen and equipment! It would be nice to have a few cooking basics stocked for guests: olive oil, vinegar, basic spices, and some tea bags. (I had heard from friends that one of the Lincoln units had a well-appointed kitchen.)
In the bedrooms, it would be nice to have other types of pillows available in the closet.
It would also be great if there were two lawn chairs and a folding tray table & tablecloth for elegant opera tailgating. We'd like to make it an annual event! A picnic basket would help to transport everything in style. A couple of plastic wine glasses and water glasses, too.

Beautiful spot, but inaccurate ad
We booked this property over other suitable and less expensive properties because it listed an elevator as an amenity on the vrbo site. When we arrived and called to check in we were told there was no elevator- but later learned there is an elevator but it’s never been operational. This caused significant issues for my family, and we were disappointed by both the inaccuracy and the lack of care management expressed. Otherwise, the location is great- the place is beautiful. It has lost amenities, but lacked some basics such as extra blankets.
I had to rate each area even though we haven’t actually stayed at this property yet. I accidentally booked the wrong dates (June instead of July) and contacted the owners right away. I was afraid my careless mistake would ruin our trip. The manager changed the reservation right away with no extra fees. I was so relieved! They said VRBO wouldn’t be notified, so that is why I was asked to review the property before staying. I look forward to visiting Santa Fe with friends!
This was our second stay at this condo and it certainly did not disappoint! It is a beautiful property, excellently located, and very spacious! The attention to detail and cleanliness is unsurpassed! Would love to stay here again in the near future! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, central to everything in town. This is the second property we’ve stayed at … both were impeccable, comfortable, and perfect locations.
Great location, beautiful property, well equipped. Only complaint is 2nd car (meeting family halfway) was charged $48 a day for parking and the spa credit was worthless as the spa was fully booked.
Lovely condo! Nice and spacious. Very clean and good amenities. The management company was easy to work with. The location is great for many Santa Fe activities, like shopping, dining, and culture, but it is in a busy area so do expect street and bar noises. Quite manageable with white noise machines and ear plugs. We’d stay again. Thanks!

The Water Street unit was perfect because we could walk to anywhere in town and we had room to enter
