Essential Farms is making available the property's 3 bedroom brick home for monthly rentals. The picket fenced property is a serene getaway. Rockford Airport and bypass 20 are less than a mile away, making it close to everything. As an added bonus the Studio can be used for an additional cost for either casual use like for a workout or cup of Jura coffee daily or for a scheduled gathering. The studio can also be rented as a stand alone rental for events. Both the house and studio are well- appointed with high-end furnishings. Among the tranquil spaces, for coffee-sipping and contemplation, includes a cozy room nook in addition to the light bright beautiful sun room overlooking the picket fenced, shaded yard. Outside dining is available on both patios: under a pergola next to the Studio or under an umbrella next to the house. A grill completes the experience. Well-behaved, supervised pets considered and must be pre approved.

About the host

We are retired and live 6 minutes from the property along the beautiful Rock River with our 2 mini Cobberdogs Maddie and Sunny. The 8+ acre farm property was home to Forest City Nursery for decades. When the owner passed away in 2009, the property sat for a year until we purchased it. The house was a long term rental until 2018 when we converted a 800 square foot pig barn into a Yoga Studio. At the same time updated and furnished the house and listed it on VRBO. Covid brought a pause to yoga, so we changed the Studio to a flex space and are now offering this as a an addition rental.

Why they chose this property

We used to buy plants and mulch from Forest City Nursery and found property relaxing as we would meander between the outbuildings and pergola. It's such a lovely place!

What makes this property unique

The property has mature trees and a large fenced yard. The house is cozy and comfortable. It is well appointed with Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and Crate and Barrel furniture. The Studio has a kitchenette with a Jura Coffee maker for fabulous coffee and coffee specialty drinks. There is a smaller fenced yard for pet play off the side studio door. There is 2 patio areas to enjoy the outdoors. Check out the pictures!
