Great home on the Delaware Bay the NJ side. The house is on a bird preserve so there is a lot of wild life around. In the early summer the horse shoe crabs come lay their eggs attracting many different birds and fish. The turtles also come up and lay there eggs on the property in early July. There is a 100 foot fishing pier part of the home and ideal for the fisherman with a clean station. The home has a full kitchen, AC, Heat, washer and dryer, outdoor shower. The location is also good. 25 minutes to Avalon or 25 minutes to Cape May.

Wish we could stay longer. Facing the water, turn right for a beautiful sunset and turn left for a beautiful sunrise. The beach is one house away and our dog enjoyed running on the beach and exploring the sandbars. A fifteen-minute walk to the Eastpoint lighthouse. We did a hike a short drive away to Thompson's Beach. Apparently, October is a great time for catching crabs. Also enjoyed the firepit and having smores.
Our extended family of 6 and our 2 large dogs had a nice, relaxing vacation. We enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning from the deck and being able to sit by a fire in the evenings after watching the sunset just listening to the water. We went for walks on the small beach area, went kayaking, and took day trips to both Cape May and Stone Harbor. We brought our own blankets and bedding, so I cannot say if there was an adequate supply, but otherwise the house had basically all that was needed.
Alex was responsive to all our inquiries and even allowed us to check in earlier than the set time which was greatly appreciated. The only downside was that he was also at the property both weekends of our stay which for a family of introverts was awkward.
Overall, we had a great vacation and enjoyed this remote location. Thank you, Alex, for opening your home to our family.
We love the house. It's very clean and comfortable, and the property can't be beat. Alex, the property owner, is as good as they get. The area is terrific and there's plenty to do if you're into outdoor activities like crabbing, fishing and bird watching. I wish we could stay there and never leave. 5/5 stars.
The property is located in a quiet, remote area and is perfect for relaxation and fishing on the dock. We caught a lot of Sand Sharks and crabs throughout the week. It was a nice time.
Secluded location just down the road from the historic East Point Light House which is right on the water and more with a 100 foot pier that takes you right out over the Bay. You have fishing & crabbing just steps out the back sliding door......Or just relax with a frozen Margarita with a million dollar view of the water. Loved the place and hope to return again next year...Kevin Devaney
The house is perfectly situated in a quiet location and within a 30-40 driving distance to the Jersey shore beaches. The accommodations were comfortable and the access to the bay was perfect for fishing, crabbing and kayaking. The host was very communicative and helpful. Definitely recommend for a family getaway!
Our family ranged from 75 to 8 years old and everyone agreed that this vacation was great. The house is older and somewhat rustic and a bit funky, but in a good way. As for neighborhood, the location is rural and one of about a dozen waterfront homes. All of the neighbors we met were friendly and helpful. Our animal neighbors were turtles, rabbits, and Ospreys we constantly watched catching fish and returning to their nests with food. Overall, it was very comfortable, accomodating, and relaxing. The value of having our own private fishing and crabbing pier cannot be overstated. We caught sharks, stingrays, crabs, eels, and skates. Two crab traps were provided which our grandsons put to great use. If you're a sit-by-the-pool resort person, this may not be for you. But if you don't mind having the city bustle a half hour drive away and you love low tide walks on isolated beaches amid teeming nature, this could be your place. Thanks, Alex, for your help and generosity. We will be back.
We really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet, very relaxing, great location. Enjoyed catching up with family and really enjoyed our walks on the beach area once the tide was very low. The horseshoe crabs were every where. We even returned a lot back to the water. Great trip!!
It’s a hidden getaway. Place is right on the water in a pleasant little drive. Neighbors are all very friendly the house has got character. We liked so much we asked if we could extend our stay one more day. Thanks Alex
It was great to spend two wonder weeks at this rental. It was just what we needed. This was our second time in Heislerville this year.
It was comfortable and and the Delaware Bay was beautiful.

Great location
Loved the Bay and bird sanctuary. The views and privacy are second to none. This was second time at same location but at a different house.
So many issues from arriving like no towels, sheets were ripped, broken coffee maker, grill and oven didn’t work etc.
I went out and bought many things within the first hour to make our stay manageable.
Alex did bring a few things the next day but I was already disappointed.
The house needs essentials and housekeeping to be updated.
We did have a great time outside and the pier is fantastic for fishing.
Overall we adapted and made a good time out of it. I’m bummed because it’s one of the best locations to vacation we been to but wouldn’t return unless things were updated and cleaned.
The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. It was well appointed, and we had everything we needed for a memorable weekend. The fishing was top notch and the surrounding area beautiful. The entire process from the rental, to access, to communication was the easiest I've ever encountered. We had a blast and absolutely want to go back!

Family trip
It was a very peaceful location. The large deck and pier was very nice. The kids enjoyed it and the fire pit. The breeze was wonderful and we had a great time sitting out in the evening The bathrooms were both nicely done. The kitchen could use some new pots and serving utensils. We were able to take the kids to the sand at low tide but we had an older guest who could not walk on the ragged path to get to it. However there is a beautiful beach 1/2 hour away. We all had a great time in the peaceful setting with a beautiful view and sunset
We had a blast kayaking, bird watching, tidal sandbar exploring, horseshoe crab and turtle rescuing, sea glass collecting, star gazing, roasting marshmallows at the firepit. We stayed a week and effortlessly caught a bushel of crabs right off of the dock. Really roomy deck/dock and house. We ate crabs every day; so yummy! Alex made the renting process easy and was very responsive when needed.
There were spiders, spiderwebs and everything was rusted and grimy with a layer of dust. (I took pictures!) After 1 night of sneezing, we went home early. (The landlord was onsite the entire time and we chickened out and told him we were leaving due to a family health issue. We asked the landlord for a refund of the 2nd night and were offered a credit toward our next stay.)
We had a wonderful family getaway in this rental. We especially loved the remote location with the sprawling deck to relax on and enjoy the views of the bay. No need to go anywhere! It was also great that we could bring our dogs. The inside is open floor plan so we had space to spread out even when inside and the fire pit was a fun place to spend the evenings.
