This completely remodeled, 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 baths house, comfortably sleeps 6 and is perfect for families and couples. It's a 2 1/2 block walk to beautiful Memorial Park situated on the Grand Traverse Bay. The great room has 2 full couches, ample seating and a 55" inch TV. We offer internet, so you can stream your favorite shows. Books, videos and games are also provided.The spacious, well-stocked, kitchen overlooks the great room.The huge island is a great prep area and also seats 8 people around it to enjoy meals together.
Welcome mornings or evening sunsets on the front porch rockers. The back deck is a cozy area to read and nap the afternoon away on the twin-sized porch swing and other furniture. There is a gas barbecue and fire pit to gather around to toast marshmallows, and tell stories.
Washer/dryer included along with ironing board. Sheets and towels are also provided. Please bring your own beach towels and blankets. We have lawn games and toys for the kids to enjoy.
Elk Rapids is a quaint, small town that includes a variety of, gift shops, antiques, a movie theater, library and marina. Wake up early to get the best donuts at the local bakery! Stroll through the town and meander down to the marina to get breath-taking views of the Grand Traverse Bay and docked boats. Best of all, pack your beach gear and head to the beach located in Memorial Park. Kids love this white sand beach, including the swimming alcove off to the side, as well as the jungle gyms, swings, basketball and tennis courts.
Elk Rapids is the ideal family vacation spot because it is a quiet, low-key village making it easy to relax and unwind. To get more of an urban atmosphere, Traverse City is only 20-30 minutes away. Travel up Mission Point to all the wineries for a fun afternoon. Charlevoix is a half an hour drive, Petosky approximately 45 minutes, Harbor Springs an hour, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes about an hour. Although summer is the most popular season to travel to northern MI, fall is an exceptionally beautiful time of year as well.
