Surrounded by local cedar, fir and hemlock, experience a true West Coast Experience in a cozy custom log house located within walking distance to Sooke's amenities, parks, dock and beautiful Pacific Ocean. Relax and unwind under the stars at the fire pit, after a far infra red sauna followed by our Japanese outside cedar soaker tub. You'll feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and replenished.

Our pet friendly retreat charges a $60 pet fee per stay for up to 3 dogs. Payment is required via e-transfer prior to check-in if you did not include the pet fee with your reservation. Please note the retreat owner lives on the same property in the cottage at the end of the driveway.

Home away from home

We arrived to a lovely welcome of a spa like atmosphere. It was perfect for our family of five as far as space is concerned. Beautiful and tranquil backyard. Great place to stay so close to town.

My birthday trip

Best reunion ever

5 siblings aged 80 to 70 - used property as a gathering place to visit after not seeing each other for 9 years. cousins, sisters, brothers & friends joined for dinner on saturday night. 7 people slept over very comfortably. cannot say how great it was. hope we can do it again!!

Cozy getaway

Cozy home from which to explore Sooke and points west. It was pouring almost all the time we were there but there are still beaches to explore (Whiffen Spit is amazing), and the Sooke Brewery has a heated / covered outdoor space that is child- and dog-friendly. In the evening, the sauna and 2-person hot tub can warm you up even if the weather isn't cooperating!

The Owls, Old Womem Laughing Society., enjoyed their stay in this , quiet, comfortable, log cabin.

Quiet, most of the traffic passing by were people walking their dogs. Comfortable, any problems with the sleeping accommodations were due to individual aging conditions.The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed our meals in an alcove just off the kitchen, so easy to prepare and serve meals. We enjoyed our evenings discussing books and catching up in the comfortable living room in front of the fireplace. We were not able to enjoy the lovely backyard and amities due to the weather. Highly recommend this place.

We kept talking about moving to Sooke while on our vacation there. Quite and quaint get away

Everything was lovely right down to the little chocolates left for us for Valentines day. Very walk able and most beaches and sight seeing short drive away.Local breweries all amazing highly recommend SOB

Really good value!

I have stayed at many places all over Vancouver island, but this one was one of the better experiences and is very good value for the money. The soaker tub outside, the sauna, the outdoor fire pit, and robes made it extra cozy and special. I will book again for aure!

Beautiful log home. Great location.

A modern, yet rustic log cabin home. Very cozy with private back yard. Just a couple of blocks from the Sooke boardwalk and a two minute drive to shops, restaurants, and a high-speed EV charger. Five minutes from Whiffen Spit. The property manager made sure we were comfortable and that we had everything to make our stay a pleasant one. Would highly recommend.

Sooke get together

We had a good time. Very clean. Plenty of amenity. Bathrobes were great. Wished bedrooms were a little bigger. Blind in one of the bed rooms did not close. Tub outside was nice but not enough hot warren to fill it. Overall we had a great time. Thank you.

Great West Coast Stay

Michelles Log Cabin in Sooke is a great base to explore from. Our party of four adults and one dog had a fantastic time in the space and really enjoyed the large sunny garden (with lots of beautiful birds). Plenty of space for everyone, very comfy beds and everything you need in the kitchen to cook up some big family meals. Michelle was great with communication and has lots of information around the cabin to help you find interesting things to do in the local area. Will be back!!

Nice stay in Sooke

Our stay was great. The property was nice with a good kitchen for cooking. The location was good. We had 9 people which was a bit tight, but this property was much more reasonably priced than anything else we could find.
