About this property

Luxury Mountain Home - Mt. Rainier/Crystal Mt. Premier Getaway!

MUCH more than just a ski cabin, our home was built as a primary residence. We have a large, luxurious, private home that provides the perfect blend of mountain home relaxation with all the luxury and amenities one could want. The 2200 square foot, 2002 built home boasts three downstairs bedrooms all with queen beds, sleeping six, and two full bathrooms (master bathroom has an extra-large jetted tub). The large upstairs bonus-room features a queen bed, single bed, plus lots of extra space for games, yoga, and even the TV/DVD/VCR & movies.

The gourmet, fully ready kitchen will impress any cook with its Viking gas range and double ovens. The open-floor plan with dining room (beautiful table comfortably seats 8+) and living room that has soaring vaulted ceilings really encourages entertaining and connection. This light filled area has wood flooring, beautiful rugs, and exposed beams throughout giving it that warm, mountain feel. Plus the downstairs den and upstairs bonus-room offer additional opportunities for fun (or privacy). The impressive fireplace houses a wood stove which really pumps out additional heat. The home is only ten miles to the entrance of Crystal Mountain Ski Resort and Mt Rainier National Park (15 minutes to Mt Rainier's Sunrise entrance). A wide range of amenities are included: 40 Mbps Wi-fi, washer/dryer, stereo system, fully-fenced backyard, and board games. The White River is just a short walk away. There are walking/hiking opportunities within walking distance and many hiking/XC skiing/snowshoeing trails are just a short drive away. Our home is located in Crystal Village.

Beautiful mountain getaway

This home was perfect for our family of 8 and the weekend we spent at Mt. Rainier - very close and convenient to the Sunrise entrance! Clean and well cared for, stocked with the essentials, and plenty of space. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay

The three of us had a great time at this home. It was well positioned to Mt Rainier park and a great place to hang out during the day when we decided to stay in. A bunch of elk came into the yard every day which was a fun surprise. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Crystal Ski Trip

We had a wonderful time staying at Jeff’s property. It was spacious, clean, quiet and close to the mountain. A herd of elk greeted us in the morning on our way to ski!

Spacious, clean and cozy!

Despite the lack of snow for our "ski" trip, we really enjoyed our family stay over the Holidays. Everything was clean. Kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and nice appliances, dishwasher worked well (a plus), plenty of bedrooms, and we loved gathering around the wood-burning stove in the living room area with its high ceilings. Owner (Jeff) was very communicative. Would stay again!

Girls hiking trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Home! The home was immaculate, we had sleeping areas for much more than our 7 adults. The beautiful kitchen was set up with everything at your fingertips! We got to sit out on the back patio one evening and watch some young elk grazing outside the backyard. It was a beautiful place to relax and unwind after a long day of hiking!

Mt Rainier visit

The home is a lovely property located in a beautiful rustic setting. It is conveniently located near Crystal Mountain and also fairly close to the Sunrise entrance to Mt Rainier national park. Jeff was very responsive and we had a wonderful time in this very peaceful home. The only item to note is that the house does not have air conditioning, which is probably rarely an issue except when visiting during record heat wave. Fortunately, it cools down nicely at night, so only a minor concern.

Quiet and close to Mt. Rainier

The home was beautiful and a great space to gather with two other couples for a planning weekend retreat, with enough room to spread out and enough seating for meetings. We chose it because of it being near enough to Tacoma but also very close to Sunrise at Mt. Rainier. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals and we had several visits from the local elk in the yard. I also appreciate the ability to recycle and compost, making our trip a little more eco friendly. We'd love to come back again soon!

An amazing weekend in a fantastic house

A group of us visited the Mountain Home over a weekend in August and had an amazing time. Everything you could want in a vacation rental and more. Fantastic amenities, great scenery, comfortable beds, plenty of space, the list goes on and on. We intend to visit this place again in the future! Ad is 100% accurate. Pics match, clean, well maintained. Overall a beautiful house on a nice piece of property. Plenty of hiking and other activities close by.

Perfect family house

This was the perfect rental for a family ski trip. Our family (2 parents, 2 kids, 1 grandmother and 1 aunt) stayed for 4 nights and it couldn't have worked out better. It is perfectly set up for skiers-loads of hooks, and boot space in the front hall that made coming and going easy, and a quick drive up the Crystal. Lots of space to spread out. The layout puts 2 bed rooms at one end of the living room and 1 at the other end near the HUGE bonus room where the kids bounced around and slept. Wonderful wood burning stove, beautiful kitchen made apres ski comfortable and relaxing. Everything clean and in great working order. We're definitely coming back!

Beautiful home

We enjoyed the house so much we didn't want to go home - in fact, the last evening we called the owner to extend our stay a night! The interior is very well done: tasteful, warm, beautiful furniture. We were visiting in the summer and really loved the huge back yard. There is a fantastic fire pit in the back with chairs around it where I sat in the sun in the morning. The sun moved to the back porch's big chairs by the afternoon, perfect for soaking up some vitamin D with a book. We even had some elk visit the first afternoon! And after dark we were back to the fire pit to roast marshmallows and marvel at how many more stars we could see than in the city. We had a very nice walk to the river nearby as well. I highly recommend this house.

Great Getaway Crytal Vacation

We stayed over the 4th of July weekend. The house/kitchen was super comfortable and set up with everything that we needed to cook most of our meals. We really enjoyed the quietness of the area/street as well as the elk (a herd!) that wandered close the house. Beds are super comfortable which was great :). At first I was wishing there was a TV downstairs in the living room but it turned out to be a no screen weekend and that was a very welcomed break since we are on screens all day for work usually. Pack in what you need as small grocery places closeby are limited in supplies and hours. Enumclaw isn't too far away though if you really need to head out and pick something up. This house is close to Crystal and a little further to Rainier. Perfect location. Jeff is super responsive to questions and check in/out is super easy. We will be back to stay at Jeff's lovely home!

3rd Year

The set-up of this large house is ideal for a large family or multiple couples. This is the third straight year my wife, son, daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, and I have stayed in this wonderful home. The three years prior to this, we rented three different homes. None were as nice, well kept, or supported by the actual property owner. The wood-burning stove in the living room is really nice after a day on the slopes. The adults preferred to enjoy the fire and converse or read. The youngsters (ages 10 - 16) enjoyed having their own space upstairs to watch TV or play games. When the boy friend of one of the granddaughters decided to stay over one night, the two beds upstairs provided space for him to stay with our grandson. The open floor plan allowed taking turns preparing dinner in the well-equipped kitchen and still be part of everything going on downstairs. We highly recommend this home, as we certainly enjoyed and appreciated our stay.

Perfect home base for Ranier day hikes

House is within crystal village (group of 1-2 dozen houses sandwiched between the white river and the 410), located about mile marker 47-48 on the 410 and the Ranier white river/sunrise entrance is at 62. Drove that section of 410 each early morning for a week of day hikes in and around the park, coming back mid-afternoon to relax around the house. Enumclaw for groceries or a dinner out is only 20 miles away. The house has a nice back yard from where you can hear the white river more than the 410. Frequented by hummingbirds and ?mule deer. back deck is hot in the sun mid-afternoon, but there is a large front deck that is shaded by woods and north facing at that time. From the house you can walk along the white river for about a mile along an old road. The kitchen is very well stocked with a large eating area, living room, den. Beds are comfortable. On a very hot day, the upstairs was hot, but surprisingly cooled off quickly with the windows open and is a nice bright space. There is a high table there that works great as a standing desk. Entire movie library on vhs and dvd. Great stay. Only problem we found was the lower lock front door could not be opened from the outside (making it unusable), but Jeff, the owner, was responsive, and was working on getting that fixed..

Family Getaway

We chose this house because of the amount of sleeping spaces it had. We had a full house of adults and two teenagers and we all had plenty of room to each have our own space, as well as be together in the common areas. The back patio and yard are absolutely amazing. It would be have been much more comfortable if there were more patio furniture to sit on. The fireplace did in fact warm the entire house for our chili and rainy afternoons. We're definitely recommend this house for large groups traveling together and a great place to gather.

Perfect Family Getaway

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jeff’s place is comfortable and has all the amenities you could need. We enjoyed many meals in the kitchen, and coffee on the back deck while we watched our elk friends roam around. The cozy fire is perfect after returning from a long day of hiking. We can’t wait to return!
