This is our second time staying at the Iron Horse at Winter Park. This was a fantastic unit that comfortably fit six of us for 3 days of skiing. Would come back in a second.
This two bedroom two bath condo was perfect for our family of four. It’s well appointed and you cannot beat the location! We will be staying here again!
Loves the ski in and out. Also likes the short walk to the village if you didn’t want to wait on the bus! Wonderful communication with the owners as well!
Very quiet despite being ski-in, ski-out. The condo was very nice - exactly what we wanted. The only suggestion would be to include some microwave-safe plates and bowls.
Wonderful location with this ski in/ski out condo. Parking was included. The condo was roomy for us and our 2 adult children. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor pool. We didn’t use the exercise room, but there was a lot of equipment in it. A great option!
Iron horse is located just off the Corridor run that gets you down to the gondola. The slope isn't quite enough to get you going on a snowboard so it ends up being a walk but it's not that far. Getting back to the condo is super convenient though and a true "ski in". The condo itself was well stocked with bathroom towels, shampoo and conditioner, tissue and toilet paper. Bring bar soap if you like that, lotion, and hot tub towels. The condo has a nice indoor/outdoor heated pool and two hot tubs. The hot tubs had a lot of chemicals in them so we didn't use the bubbles but they were a nice temperature! There was also a game room with ping pong, foosball, TV, board games, and air hockey. In the unit, the fireplace was very cozy and the Murphy bed was comfortable! There is also a bus stop right outside to get to the village and back. The garage clearance is too low for an SUV with a ski rack but there was an option to park outside, which was fine!
This was the best place I've stayed on a ski trip, hands down. Access to the slopes was wonderful, and everything about the condo was as advertised in the listing. Perfect!
It was a nice place. Pretty good ski-in ski-out, word of caution though if you're a beginner skier Mary Jane might be a little challenging. Didn't receive info on discounted ski equipment right at iron horse until we had already reserved equipment from beaver rentals, would have made renting a lot easier. All in all everyone had a good time. Dining can be a bit crowded during the day and it is resort skiing so bring lots of cash. Really enjoyed the continental divide snowmobile tour. our guide Steve was great!
We came for a family ski trip. Condo was in a great location to the base. 5 min walk or 2 min drive. Ski locker and access to ski in/ski out run to the base was nice. Garage parking was great with all the snow we received while there. Laundry room was right by our condo which came in handy. The bus system dropped right in front of condo and took you to the base area. We enjoyed the Iron Horse amenities and this condo. Would definitely come back and stay here.
Kitchen and master bath sinks/tub had very poor drainage. We had no easy way to contact owners/manager. No information book for renters.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Awesome location!!
Liked the unit and ease of in and out of skiing!! Codes were not correct and it was a struggle to get in the building and unit. Property manager was very nice but traveling herself and hard to get ahold. Love Winter Park!!!
Nice, comfortable property for our family ski trip. Easy access to Corridor run which takes you right to the Winter Park Base. It was a little confusing that the Iron Horse is not actually part of Winter Park, but right there. A very easy walk (not in ski boots) to the base village if there are non-skiiers in your group wanting to meet up in the village for lunch. The hot tub and work out room were both nice, and there's an amazing massage lady (Jill) on premise on the 2nd floor in building C. The downfall was no soap/body wash in our shower, even though the listing indicates "basic soaps". I guess that's something I expected. However, Kathy was very attentive to our questions/requests both prior to our visit and when we needed anything while staying there. Thank you for a great stay!
