Great Property. Just OK Service
This would be a rave review. But there were some bumps along the way. First, the good: the house is beautiful and well maintained and the location is great. The bad: got no check in instructions. Showed up hoping it would be self-explanatory. It wasn't but luckily the door was unlocked. The jacuzzi was empty / broken. Several days later and with little communication, it was repaired. But worst of all is the British property manager who seemed to delight in scolding us ("don't board the shuttle in front of your house even though the driver stopped for you") and in telling us issues weren't his purview ("we don't maintain the hot tub"). He offered NO help. He scolded me for not knowing the bus schedule and insisted it was printed in the unit (it wasn't). And when we found ourselves scrambling to get the kids to a ski lesson, he wouldn't get his snow plow out of the way and then impudently told me I must not want our driveway cleared. I don't think I've ever encountered someone less suited to interacting with guests. He was truly awful. Shout out to house keeping who kept the place spotless. Bathrooms were well equipped. (Kitchen needed more dish soap and laundry needed more detergent). It was our second or third visit to the Obsidian development. Due to that awful guy, not sure we'll go back. For a premium price one has the right to expect great services. hopefully they'll make some improvements as the property itself is great..
