You won't believe the view! See miles of beach stretching out before you.

Immaculate -- fresh paint and carpet, 65 inch 4KTV and super-comfy reclining leather sofa. Inviting full kitchen. Enjoy your coffee or tea on the private balcony with awe-inspiring views of the sunrise. You will fall in love with the natural beauty of this unique ecosystem as you walk gorgeous beaches and woodland nature trails.

This unit is located at the southern end of the newly renovated Sandcastles II building with convenient access to both stairs and elevator. You will have perfect privacy and quiet here as what is just above your ceiling is the building's terra cotta tile roof. Six different golf courses on the island make for a golfer's paradise, but with enough woods, water, and wildlife to satisfy any nature lover as well. Or take a relaxing dip in the pool and sun on the spacious deck beach-side.

There is an upscale grocery store just a few minutes away with whatever you may need.

Enjoy nearby resort restaurants or make a quick trip up the lovely canopy road to sample historic Fernandina's fine dining or casual fare. Shop while you're there at unique shops and boutiques, not to mention a world-class ice cream parlor.

Wonderful location

The condo was stocked with everything needed to enjoy the beach (chairs/towels/cooler). We appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail with decor/towels/bedding, etc. Loved the view and the location. Driving directions and entry information was complete and easy to navigate.

Wonderful views and great host!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The space was clean and had plenty of attention to detail, including homemade chocolate chip cookies as we came in. I wish I had known that the Omni Resort pools and fitness center are not open to guests of this property, but there is a small pool attached to the property. The view of the ocean can't be beat, and the sound of the waves as we went to sleep was amazing. We would stay here again!

Beach Getaway

My friend and I couldn’t have had a better vacation. We felt like we were walking into someone’s home where fresh-baked cookies and cold bottles water in the fridge awaited us! Everything was so clean and fresh! The bedroom and balcony view of the beach were perfect. We were on the balcony lots. Loved the seclusion and security of being on the grounds of the Omni Resort. We felt very safe. I also loved the natural surroundings of the southern end of the island and not being close to lots of other condos and restaurants. This was my first time to the island and I definitely want to go back. And this will be the place I will choose. Best time to the beach ever! Thank you John and Karen. You’re the perfect hosts.

Absolutely Ocean Front

Description is accurate. Nice balcony on the sixth floor with an unobstructed view of the ocean. Beds are very comfortable and ac, appliances work well. Only a minute walk from the condo to the beach. Lots of shaded parking. Very quiet. Beach chairs are provided, along with some towels. You will enjoy your stay!

Perfect Location. Perfect View.

I was in town for a book signing and a friend flew in to celebrate that with me. This was the perfect place for us. It had plenty of room, a gorgeous view, everything was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. This is one of those places that you can have an amazing vacation just by staying in your room and walking down to the beach. The sunrises are incredible! Karen had freshly baked cookies waiting for us when we checked in! Absolutely perfect stay!

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

You know how so many people say they need a vacation AFTER their vacation because of all the pressure to cram a ton of stuff to do in a short amount of time? Not so when you vacation in this wonderful condo! It is relaxing and calm and you have all the comforts of home. Comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen and everything needed for a beach vacation. Sitting on the private balcony and listening to the waves alleviates any stress level. Steps from the beach with easy access near the pool. The owners are always available and very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

When we were looking for a place to celebrate our 50th anniversary on Amelia Island, we searched for reviews of places with a 9+ or more rating.... we came across John and Karen's place, and it had a perfect score of 10! We thought, no way it could be that good.. But then we began reading the glowing reviews and decided to book 5 nights... Let me say, of all of the rental places we have stayed over the years, this was the most perfect experience EVER! From the comfortable beds, to the beautiful furnishings, to the luxurious towels, to the OMG moment when we opened the door and saw the incredible views out living room and bedroom windows and deck, to the spick and span cleanliness, to most importantly, the communication between the owners and us....THIS PLACE WAS EVERYTHING WE DREAMED OF!

My husband and I booked this stay as he had a convention next door at the Omni. It was the perfect location right next to the hotel, shops, etc. The place was spotless and communication was great from the owners. Awesome view from the 6th floor, beds and furniture were very comfortable. Pool was nice and quiet. Overall great experience. If I could give them 6 stars I would!

THE PERFECT PLACE!!!!!!!

This is the second stay here for us. We just love the location, easy access to the condo and parking, and so very close walking to the ocean. Always great communication with the owners and plan to stay there any time we can get away. So much fun and so much to do there within walking distance. ALWAYS FRESH CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES ON THE COUNTER TO GREET YOU.

Island Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this Condo. It was as described with lots of extra goodies included. The views were spectacular and the Plantation property was great, with all the walking paths, restaurants and shops. We visit Amelia Island every year but typically stay closer to downtown - we definitely will be back to this side of the island.

Great stay for conference

This was a fantastic location, right next to the Omni conference center. The views are unbeatable, overlooking the ocean. The condo was super clean and well taken care of. I didn’t use much, but they had beach chairs, towels, etc. for a nice beach stay. Great hosts. Transportation off the island back to the airport is limited for those of you not driving (just fyi).

We simply loved our stay. We were familiar with the resort and knew all it had to offer. The unit was impeccably clean. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare the one dinner we had in. Yes, we will return!!

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love this part of the world. We both love nature and there is an almost unlimited variety of beautiful sights and wildlife to explore. The Jacksonville Zoo is a 35 minute drive and offers offers thrilling world class exhibits. There is a wildlife observation platform 10 minutes away along A1A where wild birds congregate -- a perfect spot for photography. There is a very active community of conservation volunteers in the neighborhood, as this beach is a nesting ground for sea turtles. Most of all though, we find this environment to be very relaxing --the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of the big city.

What makes this property unique

This unit is very private. It is at the southern end of the building and sits atop of the structure. Yet, it is located close to the elevator and stairs. The view is outstanding from either the living room's bay window or your private balcony. You can see all the way to the southern end of the island.
