Comfy, Clean, Convenient - Just plain NICE!
Ryan's Unit was extremely nice... recently remodeled and it was immaculate. Very comfortable couches, chairs, ... big TV screens in living room and bedrooms; Spectrum cable and very good internet (we demand that for our business). Unit not that large (1000 sq ft ?), but good for 4 (2nd bedroom has a Queen, so nice for 2 couples) . Kitchen well stocked with quality items, including Ninja Blender. All the conveniences, including an array of beach chairs, boards etc. No cheap towels here! Abundant and thick, big ones for the beach as well. The unit has master upstairs as a loft ... big bathroom, ceiling fans with good circulation.... it was January, but never had to use AC, but they look to be good... electronic etc. 2nd Floor advantage for ceiling height for air, plus decent view from balcony (a tiny bit of water is visible, but nice for sunsets. New, LARGE Capacity, electronic washer dryer.
Complex is very nice and well maintained. Nice to have a dedicated parking spot next to entrance area of unit. Across parking lot is the better pool (there are 2) with a unique "grotto-like" spa..
Other PROS: Start with Ryan the owner. He's very nice and communicative ... we had lots of nice back and forth texts and photo shares. Seems to be a great, friendly guy.
- SIMPLE checkin (code lock on door).
- As it's up the hill a bit in middle of complex, it's very quiet.
- 5 min walk downhill to beaches. Kam III is famous for viewing sunsets. Or course, this might be a bit of a "con" as it's a nice hike UPHILL to return.
- Terrific and homey unit
- Convenient location for both Kihei, local beaches and Wailea.
- well stocked unti for all the conveniences
CONS: Hmmm... tough to find any. Walking uphill just short of half a mile from beach. For us, a bit more exercise (especially carrying all that beach gear), so not a real problem.
Just for perspective (not at all a complaint): Unit is not the size and top of the line luxury that we've had in Wailea, but of course those would be WAY more money.
Overall terrific unit and owner. Would happily return and probably will.
