The House is very cozy in a Beach Cottage style that offers you peace and harmony. All rooms and living room overlook the Atlantic Ocean, you do not need to leave home to enjoy this beautiful beach, as the house still offers you 2 terraces with sumptuous views, where you can smell the sea without leaving your comfort.
It has a patio where you can quietly enjoy your meals and grill with the fish you buy on the beach.
The house is single storey with 4 bedrooms, all wheelchair accessible.
If you are looking for a quiet beach that seems to have stopped in time, this is the right destination for you. (!)
Costa de Lavos is located in the center of the coast 11 km from Figueira da Foz, 36 km from Pombal, 48 km from Leiria, 60 km from Coimbra, 73 km from Fátima, 100 km from Óbidos, 140 km from Porto and 186 km Lisbon. It is a wonderful place and a strategic point where you can simply stay and enjoy or enjoy getting to know the whole country.
The sandy beach is out of sight, ideal for long walks, kitesurfing or other sea-related activities, fishing or simply watching the traditional fishing known as Xávega (between May and September), where you can watch the exit. from fishermen to the sea and collecting fish nets and selling them directly on the beach in a very traditional way.
But if you feel the need for excitement, nightlife, shopping, you have Figueira da Foz 11 km (10 minutes) where you can find everything you need, from Shopping, Casino, Cinemas, Marina, Restaurants, Traditional Fish Market and vegetables.

a perfect spot

A beautiful house with an unbeatable view. Full equipment and we found everything as described. Location offers a good local restaurant and is well located for a variety of day trips. Homeowner very nice, helpful and always reachable. Highly recommendable!

What an amazing place to stay!

Casa na Areia is really as good as the photos. From a beautiful, light filled house, you hop over the wall and you are on the beach. All the rooms over onto a spacious patio area and there is a upstairs terrace as a bonus. The kitchen is very well equipped and lots of storage space throughout the house. Helena is a very warm, welcoming host and was always available for us if we had any questions. There is a lovely local restaurant around the corner which is very inexpensive. The beach is fantastic but with small kids you will need to wander a bit further down from the house for safe swimming. Overall, if you are looking for a great beach house in a fantastic location..look no further!

Just what our family needed

This was the perfect stay for our family. 6 of us stayed in this house and the other two were just a 2 minute walk away. We had all of our meals together at this house and it was ideal. Both the inside and outside tables fit us all. The kitchen had all the tools and appliances needed for us to prepare and cook every meal. The beach is right in front and is fantastic but do be careful not to swim at high tide; the waves are big and rough. The beach itself is long and so clean. Loved the deck up top! We had plans to explore inland but the house, the small town and the weather encouraged us to never leave! Costa de Lavos is pretty small but the two mini-mercados are well stocked and fresh bread is available 6 days a week and just a 5 minute walk away. A great stay!

Fantastische Lage, direkt am Strand

Das Haus ist in sehr gutem Zustand und die Lage ist einfach top! Da es während unseres Aufenthaltes relativ viel geregnet hat, war der Ofen sehr wertvoll um das Haus zu wärmen und die Feuchtigkeit los zu werden. Schöne Ausflugmöglichkeiten (Nazaré, Coimbra, Aveiro...)

Wundervolle und authentische Ferienunterkunft

Wir (4 Erwachsene und ein Kind) haben hier unseren Sommerurlaub verbracht und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus mit seiner unmittelbaren Strandlage ist einfach ein Traum. Der Kontakt mit Helena und Luis gestaltete sich unkompliziert und nett. Der Ort selbst, ein kleines Fischerdorf, ist sehr authentisch und wenig touristisch, hat aber alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht, Sonne, Strand, Meer, einen Bäcker, einen Mini-Mercado, gute Restaurants und eine Bar. Der Strand ist unsagbar lang und war selbst in der Hochsaison an heißen Tagen nicht überbelegt. Aufgrund der Safe Guards war Baden auch bei stärkerem Wellengang jederzeit gut möglich. Wir haben die Zeit wirklich sehr genossen und können uns gut vorstellen, noch einmal wiederzukommen.

Beach-House

Die Lage ist großartig,der Blick auf das Meer ist fantastisch, man kann den Fischern außerdem regelmäßig bei der Arbeit zusehen und anschließend fangfrischen Fisch erwerben ( Grill/Auflaufformen vorhanden), desweiteren gibt es täglich (außer Mittwoch )frische, sehr leckere Brötchen im Café um die Ecke, das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet, man kann es nur empfehlen

Beautiful house in a lovely neighborhood

We had a great stay at this place which is very nice because of the house itself as well as its fantastic location. Only a hop over the wall and you are on the beach, you are part of a tranquil genuine portuguese village with a mini-mercado and a few cafés and restaurants. Figuera da Foz as a bigger town is only about 10 km away. And within about one hour car drive you get to Coimbra, Nazaré and a beautiful natural park area, for example. The holiday home makes you feel comfortable very quickly, it is very airy, lovely decorated and pretty well equipped. There is a lot of room inside and you have got three different places to stay outside (patios and terraces). Helena and Luis who manage the property are very kind and helpful. Thanks a lot for letting us stay at your house, we are already making plans when to come back again.

Une très belle demeure avec de très bonne prestations . Ce serais bien d'installer un jacuzzi sur le solarium pour en profiter au coucher de soleil ou bien pour en profiter quand on ne peut pas ce baigner en mer.

Lange, saubere Strände mit Muschelvielfalt An 3 Tagen kam der Gestank der Zellstoffindustrie - vermutlich fehlender Filterwechsel Das Haus ist geräumig und in Max 2 Min ist man am Strand Der Ort selber ist klein und bietet nichts - einkaufen bedeutet ca10 Min Autofahrt Die Vermieterin ist klasse

Amazing beach relaxation retreat

We cannot say enough positive things about the home without running out of space. Stunning location next to the sea with a charming beach cottage atmosphere. In November, beaches were fairly empty which allowed the children to roam free and make lots of noise. Three yummy restaurants, a cafe with fresh bread, a mini grocery store, a inexpensive hair salon (5€ hair cuts for children under 10) and a souviner shop all within a few minutes walk. Hope to return one day!

Ein seh schönes Haus

Sehr schön renoviertes Haus direkt am Strand, sehr zu empfehlen und sehr nette Vermieter, alles bestens. Der Ort Lavos selber ist etwas karg aber Figuera da Foz ist mit dem Auto in kurzer Zeit erreichbar.

Beautiful beach home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach home of Carlos and Helena. Spotlessly clean and with everything needed to enjoy a vacation, it is an excellent choice. Day trips to nearby cities were easy access from the beach home given the central location. Highly recommend.
