Probably the best VRBO property we've ever had the pleasure to stay in! Perfect location walking distance from everything in Deadwood, awesome restaurant right downstairs but no problem with noise, soaring high ceilings, large windows, historical details in unit, owners own art displayed, private baths for each suite, attention to detail in every way ... We actually sent a thank you note upon arrival! This is a jewel, treat yourself and don't miss it!
The penthouse was just as the pictures portray. It was beautiful, and the beds were SOOO comfortable! The property was very clean and tidy, each bathroom had everything provided for bathing for the weekend, that was a plus! Laundry was accessible to be used and the property had any cleaning products necessary. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in.
We were given the wrong access code during checkin process and were unable to reach the property manager right away but the staff in the bar and restaurant were very helpful. They called her directly, gave us a free drink while we waited and the manager gave us the correct pin within a half hour. The owner of the property arrived and introduced himself and also visited with us briefly while we had our complementary drink. We enjoyed our stay very much, other the sound of the traffic outside, this stay was very nice.
One thing we would love to see changed is the parking spaces provided. The property only provided one space, and we had 3 adult couples staying and we each drove vehicles from different parts of the country. More parking we didn’t have to pay for would have been beneficial.
Again, very beautiful property, we will certainly stay here again!
The property was amazing. It was set up perfectly for 3 couples, with each having a "master bed/bath" and great hang out area in flowing kitchen/dining/living area. We had trouble with check in as we were given an old access code and it took a a bit of time for the manager to get back to us with the correct code to get into the condo (later in the evening with no plan B - we were rather frustrated). Also, we tried to eat several times at the restaurant below the condo and could never get in, even after the owner told us to use his name when calling for a spot. There was public parking that could be paid for behind the condo when there were openings, but the condo's reserved spots were often not available, as they were taken up by the restaurant staff, so several nights had to park several blocks away after much circling and looking for parking. Overall, the condo was great, but there were some hitches with the amenities as they were promised.
The Penthouse was absolutely gorgeous! It was artfully decorated & fully stocked. I especially loved the history of the building, and seeing the original wall on display. The location couldn’t be any better. Our whole family enjoyed staying here and frequenting the delicious Jacob’s Brewhouse & Grocer downstairs. We would be lucky to stay here again during our next South Dakota trip!
The penthouse was amazing and we would definitely book again!
I would highly suggest this property to anyone. Immaculate and fully stocked if you were interested in cooking. The location is perfect for downtown. Property manager was very helpful and answered all questions right away.
