Beautiful Charentaise house in the heart of the village of St Georges d'Oleron

We have been renovating for two years this beautiful Charentaise house, linked to the wine history of Saint Georges d'Oléron. With very large volumes, it includes 4 bedrooms, a large and a small living room, a bathroom and a shower room, a kitchen - dining room and a beautiful terrace opening onto the garden. Bikes are available in large numbers to browse the bright Oléron. The beaches are either ocean side or continent side.

Logement spacieux et bien équipé, style d’époque et dépaysant pour des vacances et grand jardin (dommage qu’il y ai qu’un parasol petit pour la grande table de jardin…) Petits point négatif : frigo non branché à l’arrivée (dommage lorsque l’on arrive avec nos courses…) et le fait de devoir transporter ses poubelles jusqu’au containers qui n’est pas à côté… Dans l’ensemble un bon séjour qualité/prix !

Grande maison de ville familiale

La maison offre de beaux espaces (grande cuisine et grand salon). Un grand jardin à l'arrière de la maison permet de profiter de l'extérieur. Les chambres sont confortables. La cuisine est très bien équipée, ce qui est un plaisir pour faire de grandes tablées. La bibliothèque est très bien fournie, laissant peu de place au désoeuvrement en cas de mauvais temps (même si Frédéric Lordon ou Bernard Friot n'intègreront sûrement jamais les étagères ...) La maison est située à Chéray, à côté de Saint Georges d'Oléron et à environ 12 km du phare de Chassiron qui est un des lieux "touristiques". La grange attenante dispose toutefois d'une petite dizaine de vélos ce qui est très appréciable car il est alors possible de se déplacer sans utiliser à chaque fois la voiture ! La communication avec les propriétaires et l'arrivée de sont faites facilement, la personne remettant les clefs étant très arrangeante et sympathique ! Nous avons seulement regretté le fait de devoir emmener draps et linges de bain qui prennent beaucoup de place dans les voitures.... En résumé, un très bon séjour d'autant que les rues désertes nous ont rassuré.e.s dans nos craintes de faire trop de bruit le soir du nouvel an. Nous souhaitons de belles vacances aux prochains !

La maison est spacieuse et agréable. Espace extérieur très profitable. Équipements appréciés (ex: plancha, vélos ...) Mise à part qqes soucis (ouverture de porte d'entrée, cafetière, salle de bain du rez de chaussée.. ) Rien à redire. Bonne communication avec les propriétaires.

Belle demeure familiale pour les vacances!

Très agréable séjour dans cette maison charentaise au cachet ancien superbe! Vieilles pierres, vieux parquet, armoires massives, immense grange, portes à l'ancienne... Tout est absolument charmant! Le grand jardin clos et la terrasse offre la possibilité de passer beaucoup de temps dehors! un vrai plaisir!
