Echo Cove is a sweet cottage on Upper Range Pond with 135 feet of private waterfront. Nestled in a quiet cove, this spot is perfect for small groups of 4 who are looking for a clean and quiet oasis. Whether you're booking in the warmer months to swim and canoe, or cooler season for nearby skiing, this is the perfect destination. Includes: use of 2 paddle boards 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, a fire pit & 2 gas grills. The fishing is excellent.

The space
With 2 queen beds, this cottage is very comfortable for 4. A sofa bed adds a bed for 1-2 more in the common space.There is also a common space downstairs with a futon to relax, sleep or read.
The dock is a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee and start the day. There is also a float to swim to so you can sunbathe or fish.

Guest access
You'll have access to a canoe and 2 kayaks, along with complete and private use of the waterfront. There is a public boat launch a few miles away and a restaurant on the lake with a bait shop, and fuel for boats. The kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials including pots and pans, baking sheets, dishes, glasses, silverware and cooking tools. There are plenty of extra towels and blankets you're welcome to use, and a few games kept downstairs.

Other things to note
We only have 2 real rules. In the summer, please keep lobster cooking outdoors only. We have provided an outside burner for this purpose. And in the winter, no skis are allowed inside. We have a place for ski boots, but are not equipped to house skis indoors at this time.

Great Host and Property

The place was very clean, well organized, with all the appliances that you needed to enjoy a 4th of July weekend with your family. The host could not of been nicer or more accommodating. We are already looking forward to our stay next year.

Beautiful Location

The house was neat and clean and looked as the pictures advertised. Hope was very friendly when we met her to get the keys and kindly provided firewood for us for the fire pit. It was a beautiful location for the house.

Enchanted Echo Cove

This was our fourth year renting this lovely lakefront cottage The weather was rainy and overcast, not typical August weather, we really enjoyed the upgraded electronics and Wi-Fi while listening to the mesmerizing loon calls. The comfy beds are perfect for cozy vacation napping! Hope and Kurt are just a phone call away. We arrived to a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a birthday card. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness! ;) Thank you!!!

Wonderful Maine Vacation

Idyllic spot right on the water. Beautiful lake view from the cottage and loved having my morning coffee out on the dock. Sadly, the weather wasn't the best for fishing, but we did manage to get a few nibbles. The cottage is well stocked with kitchen supplies, linens, videos and games. Great spot to unplug and get away from it all. You feel very secluded yet it's a quick trip to get groceries and Portland is less than a hour away. Would love the opportunity to visit again!

Wow! Beautiful property and amazing views! What a great place! Everything you need for a comfortable stay is here! The owners did not forget anything! I can't say enough good! Communication was top notch! This is a gem! Fishing was great too!

Lovely lakeside location

We had a wonderful early summer visit. The kayaks, canoe, and SUP were a big hit. I wish I had brought my travel hammock, there were several good trees to hang it on. The house was comfortable, the lake location was beautiful, and the kitchen was well stocked to cook meals. The foosball table was also a bit hit. The upstairs bed was quite squishy/foam mattress topper but the downstairs bed was very comfortable. Overall a great spot.

Becker's Cabin on Upper Range Pond

Had a wonderful 4 night stay. Well supplied and stocked with kitchen utensils, tools, etc, nice view of the lake, with dock and small beach access. Owners very responsive and communicated in timely manner. Well marked road in to house. Close to boat ramp, and room to turnaround small trailer (15' boat) in driveway. Would stay again!

Just Amazing and beautiful

This cottage was AMAZING!!! Went with my 2 kids 9 and 15 at end of July. It was very clean, they had everything you needed! We loved the floating dock. We used the kayaks alot also a great place for kids to fish! The host were super easy to communicate with and made our stay easy. Thank you and Can’t wait to go back!

Perfect for our long weekend

We were in town for a graduation and the house was perfect for us. Plenty of room for our family with two teenage boys. The ONLY negative was the weather which was rainy and cold for late May because we couldn't enjoy the lake and the kayaks! Hopefully we'll have better weather next time!

Peaceful Vacation

Communication w/Hope was excellent COVID-19 appropriate cleanliness of the cottage was also excellent. The cottage is in a quiet cove on a beautiful Pond, awesome place to relax, listen to loons and get away from it all. There are restaurants and groceries w/in a short drive. ;) Our family hopes to return another time!

Amazing outdoor space!

Communication was very good from the start , any questions were quickly answered. This is a huge help if not from the area. Very clean well kept house. Has everything you need. The paper plates and solo cups were a big help, that is not typically included. The outdoor space is great for swimming, enjoying the view or a late night fire with friends. This was our most enjoyed feature. We spent most of our time outside. The two things I think would complete this property is more comfortable beds and some window AC units.

Beautiful, peaceful, clean and a great value. I'm coming back!

I cannot say enough great things about this place. From the moment my husband and I booked our stay here, I knew it was going to be a great experience. Hope had very clear instructions about check-in, the cottage was super warm and cozy already when we arrived, and everything was just as it looked in the photos. We had decided on a last minute mid-week getaway and this was a great choice. It was easy to find, the area was super quiet, and the bed very comfortable. We brought our snowshoes and Hope recommended a great trail nearby. We cooked a nice meal the first night, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, including some essentials like olive oil, salt and pepper and a few other spices. The second night we went out to dinner at a local brewery in Oxford, also a recommendation from Hope, and the pizza was amazing! We had such a great winter stay here, but I can see how this spot would be wonderful in the summer. They have a huge dock, kayaks and a canoe, and a nice porch with string lights for relaxing or eating dinner. It was just the 2 of us this time, but I would love to bring another couple with us next time, or even our parents. The 2 bedrooms on separate floors provides great privacy and plenty of space for 4 people to be comfortable. We will be coming back this summer and next winter for sure!

Why they chose this property

This is a lovely spot in a quiet cove where you feel secluded yet have access to the wider area of both Middle and Upper Range Pond. You can hear the loons at night, look up and see the stars and feel a cool breeze in the hammock. In the winter, the kerosene heaters keep the cottage very warm and cozy. When we travel places, cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us, which is why i meticulously clean our cottage between every guest. You will love spending time here.
