Wonderful house

House was fantastic. Loved that it was decorated for Christmas! The location was perfect - remote enough but still close to town. The GPS listing in the description did not direct us to the correct location when we used Google maps. I suggest you use the location of the lodge to navigate.

Beautiful Property

This property is beautiful and spacious. We had a wonderful time during our stay. The property management team was super responsive, we needed a full propane tank to cookout, called them and less than 10 min later we had it. This was such a relaxing fun time for our family. Will be booking this property for another stay in the future.

Christmas Dream

We had 14 people in this cabin for the Christmas holiday, including 4 children. The owners decorated for Christmas including a beautiful tree so our family could enjoy the holidays there. It was as described and then some. Even had some snow while we were visiting. All communication was excellent and someone even checked on us over the holiday. Would definitely recommend!

Polar Express Weekend and so much more!

The Creekside Lodge was the perfect setting for our Polar Express weekend! Plenty of sleeping and playing/relaxing room for our family of 14 (7 adults and 7 kids, 3-13 years old)! The grounds are beautiful, secluded and safe. Robin was available to answer our questions and quickly responded to our every need. The setting felt remote but close to town, shopping and The Polar Express. It was the perfect beginning to our holidays.

Beautiful but not all as advertised

Property was beautiful but several of the items listed were not working or weren't available. This included the jetted MB tub, 2 of the 3 shower heads, one whole side of the jetted hot tub, freezer issues not keeping food cold enough, leaking and no ice maker. No Wi-Fi and low cell phone availability. Horseshoe pits were filled with bee hives. I would suggest more coffee cups and glassware, hot pads or oven mitts for bigger parties like this cabin permits. We had a good stay but we paid for things we didn't get to enjoy. Sorry.

Great for a large group

We stayed in the Lodge since we had a group of 10. Plenty of space and very comfortable. Only downside was the WiFi. Plan on being totally disconnected from the world when you stay here. Couldn’t make phone calls or connect the internet at all unless we went into town. Other than that, it was perfect!

Secluded location but close to attractions

We loved the house and the property. The spacious yard allowed us to have a great Easter egg hunt and play outdoor games. The kitchen was well equipped for us to make our meals. We would love to come back for a visit sometime.

Family Fall Break Get-Away

Beautiful setting, family friendly and more then enough room for all 14 of us. WiFi wasn’t the best but we were in the mountains and as a mom, WiFi not being great was perfect to keep family off phones :-) We would all recommend it to others.

Awesome office trip!

We had the best time! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed! You could enjoy a fire on the huge screened in porch or down by the creek at the firepit. You felt like you were way miles away from anything, but town was only a few minutes away! Plenty of beds, blankets, towels, and cozy comfy seating for relaxing! We will be back!

Magical week in the Smokies!

What an incredible stay we had. Our 5 kids had the most magical time. They even asked us to buy the house. Besides the house and the beautiful property, we got engaged in the forest clearing behind the house. The magical memories will be with us forever. We will come back and celebrate as often as we can. Thank you Robin for your hospitality.

About the host

Hosted by Robin Fronrath

Host profile image
We became a part of Bryson City and its people in July of 1999 when we purchased the property that would become Lands Creek Log Cabins. As with many of our friends, we’d visit the Great Smoky Mountains as often as we could and each time it was tougher to go back home. From the first time we drove into this valley and alongside Lands Creek we knew we were meant to be here.

Robin moved up to start working on the site and building cabins in July of 2000. Sue, along with sons Josh and Kyle followed in June 2001. What later became the Squirrel’s Nest Cabin was the only cabin here when we began.

Lands Creek Log Cabins is a business built by the efforts and belief of family and friends. It is a true “family business” in every sense.

By the efforts of many we have grown a great deal in our time. Our grounds are now at 100 acres and the home to 19 wonderful cabins and The Lands Creek Lodge. At the center of it and down by the creek is Harmony Hall.

As we have grown, we have had one goal at the foundation of our business: To touch peoples’ lives in a positive way and to provide the opportunity for memories.

— Robin & Sue Fronrath
