About this property

Juno beach at the end of the garden, accessible to disabled people

We invite you to come and relax at Le Grillon, our family villa located in St Aubin sur mer, the Queen of Iodine.
The ground floor of the house consists of a kitchen, entrance hall, WC, dining-living room, bedroom with double bed and private shower room / WC. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM) using a ramp.
Upstairs, you will find 2 bedrooms with 160 cm beds, one with shower room and private terrace facing the sea, a children's room with two 90 cm beds, a second bathroom and separate toilets. Our concierge service will provide all linens (sheets, pillow cases, duvets and duvet covers, towels and tea towels). A baby cot (without sheets) and a high chair are available.
Each upstairs bedroom opens onto the balcony overlooking the garden. Connected wifi, the house has a TV in the living room, as well as in two bedrooms.
Bicycles are available, as well as nets for shrimp fishing, beach and board games. An outdoor shower is planned for the return from the beach before enjoying the barbecue with family or friends.
The proximity of shops allows you to go shopping on foot by the dike (pedestrian promenade) which runs along the beach.

Beautiful house at an excellent location

We had a very nice stay and especially enjoyed how close the house was to the beach. We were traveling with a wheelchair and the house was also perfect for that.

Normandy Family Trip

We spent a fantastic week at St Aubin Sur Mer, the house was lovely with all the amenities. It was a great pied-a-terre for our family of 5 as we explored the historic sites and enjoyed the restaurants and cafes. The house is very spacious, is well appointed, and steps away from the beach. The master bedroom has lovely balcony from which you can enjoy the view of the ocean. Would definitely stay in this home again. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay in Normandie

This is a wonderful property - we loved staying here with our four children, and my husband’s parents. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished and was perfect for our needs. There is a bakery close by for your morning pastry needs and several nice restaurants for the evenings. We were in Normandie to visit the WWII Landing beaches and the house worked out perfectly!

Family holiday in St Aubin

I wanted to treat my family to a week away. There was my husband, my eldest son, his wife and their 14year old twins. Plus my other son. Unfortunately his wife was unable to join us. I know St Aubin very well so knew everything it offered plus surrounding area. Le Grillon was perfect for 7 people. Great location so close to the sea. My family brought their wet suits so most days they were in the sea! My sons are keen cyclists so brought their bikes plus twins bikes. Plenty of cycling routes and paths, There is so much history in the area so plenty of museums etc to visit. Then wonderful beach walks. Food shopping easy. It would have been perfection if the weather had behaved but we still had a fantastic week. Thank you very much.

Our stay at Le Grillon

It is a very nice property in a lovely location, the house is also very well maintained. We did enjoy our stay and the closeness to the beach was superb. There were however a couple of things that did not meet our expectations from the description. Only the downstairs bedroom has a toilet in the ensuite with another separate toilet off the sitting room. The upstairs ensuite shower room and the separate bathroom surprisingly have no toilets in them which means the 3 upstairs bedrooms have to share one very small toilet between them. The description clearly states separate ‘toilets’ upstairs, not toilet! The house is indeed very well equipped but there are only comfortable chairs in the sitting area for 4/5 people and there were 7 of us. There was 1 sofa and 2 armchairs. The only other chairs were hard dining chairs which were not comfortable for sitting on all evening. The house is advertised for 8 people so I would expect to have comfortable seating for 8. I think it is a lovely house in a beautiful location but the description needs some clarification.

Nous voulions assister aux commémorations du D-Day et nous avons été comblés: logement et accueil excellents, esprit solennel et a la fois festif des participants aux démonstrations avec engins et spectacles militaires en tous gens et en plus un temps ensoleillé !! Merci!!

Von der Reservierung, über Check-in bis zum Check-out hat alles perfekt geklappt. Dafür herzlichen Dank. Das Haus samt Grundstück und Lage haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Bei gutem Wetter haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Gerne wieder.

ÉTÉ INDIEN + LA MAISON = PARADIS

Nous avons eu une semaine exceptionnelle dans Le Grillon à Saint Aubin sur Mer!! La maison et sa localisation presque sur la plage + un été Indien égal le Paradis! En plus, le calme règne en Septembre! La digue était à certains moments vide… Merci Carole et Dominique pour cette belle maison très bien équipé et charmante !! Nous espérons y revenir en Septembre l’année prochaine! Dirk et ses ami(e)s

Séjour en Normandie

Bien située cette maison de caractère est appréciable pour son emplacement direct sur la mer et central pour découvrir les plages du débarquement. Bien équipée elle permet de vivre confortablement son séjour dans un environnement calme. Une suggestion : plus soigner les équipements extérieurs transats, tables, parasols et barbecue !! Nous y retournerons avec plaisir ! L accueil et les contacts avec le propriétaire sont excellents 👍

Reise mit 3 Generationen

Wir waren mit Großeltern und zwei jugendlichen Kindern hier und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der große Garten ist angenehm zum Frühstücken und Abendessen. Es gibt auch zwei Sonnenliegen, Sportgeräte und zwei Fahrräder zum Ausleihen. Der direkte Zugang zur Strandpromenade ist wunderbar. Im Haus findet man alles, was man braucht und der Empfang war extrem freundlich. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen.

Das Haus ist ein Traum

Es ist das perfekte Haus! Innen ist es hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Betten sind bequem. Das beste ist der Blick von einem der Schlafzimmer und aus dem Badezimmer auf den Strand und das Meer. Die Küche ist modern und beinhaltet viel Geschirr und auch eine besondere Ausstattung wie Muschelbesteck und Ähnliches. Der Garten bietet zu jeder Tageszeit Sonnen- und Schattenplätze. Gartenmöbel sind reichhaltig vorhanden. Absolut traumhaft ist die Lage: Nur die Fußgängerpromenade trennt den Strand und den Garten. Fußläufig sind zahlreiche Geschäfte und Restaurants erreichbar. Und gleichzeitig ist es nachts ruhig. Man hört nur die Wellen! Das Haus ist ein Traum!

Tres Jolie maison refaite à neuf idéalement située

Jolie maison refaite à neuf, idéalement située. Le jardin donne sur la plage par un portillon. La maison est en retrait derrière d’autres maisons, et est du coup abritée du vent. Les commerces et restaurants sont accessibles à pied. Maison refaite à neuf, très agréable. Bémols: pas de sèche linge, literie neuve mais très dure.

A deux pas de la plage

Maison idéalement placée, la digue se trouve au bout du jardin, idéal pour les promenades digestives ou apéritives ! La nuit aucun bruit, nous avons très bien dormi. Emplacement idéal pour visiter les plages du débarquements, le mémorial de Caen...

Nous avons passe un excellent sejour maison lumineuse CALME, propre , on peut aller a la plage pieds nus pas de route d ou securite pour les enfants. Propre et récemment bien rénovée, la maison est très proche de la plage, dans une région qui ne manque pas d'attraits. L'espace intérieur a été suffisant pour les six adultes que nous étions. Notre hôte a été à l'écoute en début et fin de séjour.
