Clean, fresh, well equipped property with good bathroom facilities.
A super large comfortable bed with quality bed linen.
Very well located, a short, downhill walk to the river, pub and ferry.
The swimming pool access was a real bonus during a scorching week and we enjoyed easy access to nearby gardens and beaches, especially Maenporth.
Overall a good experience. Fortunately the other holiday rentals weren’t fully occupied.

First visit to Seashells, Helford Passage
From start to finish communication with Liz was excellent and Seashells more than lived up to our expectations. A lovely cottage which has been refurbished to a very high standard, Seashells has everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
This was our first visit to Helford Passage and won't be the last; Seashells is close to the river and provides an ideal base to explore the area by foot or car - my favourite walk being the short one down to The Ferry Boat Inn!
Highly recommended, we didn't want to leave Seashells and look forward to returning at some point in the future,

A charming cottage
This small cottage has all the amenities needed, and was perfectly situated for a visit to beautiful Helford Passage. Parking, although a bit tricky and not suited to large vehicles, was close by, and there were many lovely places to visit.

Wow, what a fantastic place. We will definitely be returning. Very well appointed and fantastic location, you couldnt ask for more. Owners were incredibly helpful when we struggled with the lock (our fault in the end !) and even left us a welcome pack.

A perfect and comfortable base for exploring the Helford River
An idyllic location just a short stroll from the river bank, SW coast path and the ferry crossing to Helford. Seashells is equipped with everything we needed, is just a few steps to the pub, has easy parking and we were blessed with perfect weather for October to get out and about and take in the scenery. We would definitely return.

Seashells is a beautiful cottage located at Helford Passage.
We have just had yet another wonderful weeks stay at Seashells. It was our fourth year staying at the cottage although we have been coming down to Helford Passage for nearly twenty years now with a large group of friends and family. Seashells is a delightful cottage which was completely refurbished a few years ago to provide exceptional accommodation in a very modern style and with a definite 'wow factor'. It is open plan living with with space over the sitting area and kitchen area reaching right to the apex of the roof giving it a really spacious and light feel. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with washer/dryer, fridge, freezer etc and the bedroom has a wonderful super king size bed. There is a parking space adjacent to the property so very easy parking and the fenced terrace outside provides sun all day. It is the perfect place for the two of us as we can enjoy a bit of peace away from the rest of the group but still be just a stones throw from them, the beach and the wonderful beach front pub - The Ferry Boat Inn. Roll on next year as we are about to book again.

A great stay in a beautiful little cottage
We've just returned from a superb week staying in Seashells. The cottage is ideal for 2 people - small but surprisingly light and airy with everything you could possibly need, from dishwasher and washing machine to beach chairs etc and all high quality. We arrived to find milk teabags and wine, a very nice touch.
We were lucky to have a hot sunny week, but the proximity to Helford River, beach, coastal path and pub means that you're sure to enjoy it whatever the weather.
We would certainly return!

Holiday at Seashells
This is a lovely property in a beautiful location. The cottage is beautifully presented and clean with all you need and a lovely welcome pack from the owner. It is positioned just a short walk from the unspoilt beach which is ideal for sailing and other water sports. There are lovely walks and gardens to visit nearby and you can cross the river on the Ferry to visit Helford.

Seashells is the perfect cottage to enjoy the delights of Helford Passage
My husband and I had a wonderful week at the end of May staying at Seashells Cottage and taking every advantage of its fabulous location to explore Helford Passage and the surrounding countryside. We found the cottage to be everything we had hoped it would be - spotlessly clean and tidy, well equipped with extremely comfortable and attractive furnishings and a lovely haven to return to at the end of a busy day out and about. Our communication with Liz from our first contact was warm and welcoming and we appreciated all the local knowledge she gave us to ensure we got the most out of our stay in Cornwall. We thought it a lovely touch to find a bottle of wine, tea and coffee and fresh milk waiting for us on our arrival. Very welcome after a long drive from London!
Its location just a stone's throw from the ferry landing at Helford Passage is fabulous. We would take our coffee down to the harbour every morning and watch the boats coming in and out and chat away to the friendly locals. The coastal path which takes you all the way to Falmouth is a great way to explore the enchanting hamlets and bays and the views are quite fabulous. There are so many walks and gardens and villages to explore in close proximity to Seashells that we could easily have stayed longer.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Seashells Cottage and can not recommend it highly enough.

About the host
Hosted by Liz Pearce
We live in Devon on a small farm. We have three children and four grandchildren and all of us love Helford Passage. Seashells was purchased in 2015 - and 2016 will be the first year of holiday letting. My husband and I love taking long walks along the coast path - the children enjoy boating, rock pooling on the beach and swimming in the outdoor pool in the summer. In the evening we enjoy a glass of wine at the Ferryboat Inn overlooking the water and a lovely meal there if we want to eat out. Only a few metres to walk back afterwards!
Why they chose this property
We are delighted to have purchased Seashells Cottage which will be available from April 2016. We love Helford Passage and come here as often as we can. As soon as we arrive the first thing is to walk to the beach and enjoy a glass of wine at the Ferryboat. Next day it's on with the walking boots and set out on the coastal path which is on the doorstep - maybe take the ferry across to Helford village for more walking - or take out a boat and explore the creeks of Helford River.
What makes this property unique
Apart from being so close to the water there are so many things to do without getting in the car! The Helford River www.helford-river-boats.co.uk - the gardens, Glendurgan, (National Trust) and Trebah; the Ferryboat Inn; the golf course at Budock Vean; the South West coastal path on the doorstep. You can even have your groceries delivered! A short car journey to the beautiful Kynance Cove where the National Trust cafe serves delicious food - and a visit to the Minack Theatre for a memorable performance in the summer is a must.
