Recently converted old Village barn.
Tastefully converted to a vintage shabby chic style holiday let, situated in a private gated complex with private parking.
We have a fully equipped kitchen including washing machine & espresso coffee machine all included in price.
The shower room is an absolute dream, bosting a rain shower head, alongside body jets with a separate handheld shower.
We are situated within a five minute walk into the open country.
We have also introduced a mid week deal/ Monday to Thursday £275 all in available until 1st June.
We do not accept credit cards or cheques.
One and two Night deals are available please ask quotation.
One small well behaved dog welcome charges apply £35per stay, + £20 for any additional pets
Rules apply..... dogs are not allowed to be left in the Cottages alone upstairs or on the furniture.
Come and see the filmset for star wars Harry Potter Plus other famous films filmed within the Royal Forest of Dean.
This is the perfect place for the outdoor enthusiasts Mountain biking walking fishing golf etc.
You guys Will love this place and everything in the surrounding area.

Quaint cottage with home from home experience

The cottage and facilities were excellent and provided a real home from home experience. It was clean and tidy and the music playing in the background when we arrived was a lovely touch. Exceptional hosts who were really friendly and provided great suggestions to see the local area and were really accommodating.

Amazing place!

The cottage is beautiful, our second time staying there! The hosts are the friendliest, nicest people you could wish to meet and nothing is too much trouble for them. It is a lovely village and within easy reach of many attractions. Highly recommend.

Amazing place and amazing hosts!

The cottage was beautiful, so cosy and full of character! The added extras made all the difference - the tea bags, sugar, milk in the fridge etc. There was quiet music playing when we arrived and it felt so welcoming. We met the hosts and they could not have been nicer or more helpful. An exceptional place, one of the best I have stayed in, and I hope to be able to visit again!

Perfect Break

The cottage is perfect and the location is the Gateway to the Forest of Dean. So perfect for exploring and plenty of walks. Especially Good is the Sculpture Trail 😊

cute cottage -great location

Beautifully presented little cottage with everything you need in it- including the old game of mastermind if you fancy revisiting your past! David is very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for exploring the Forest of Dean. Highly recommend it.

Great Host

Pleasant stay, property clean and cosy, lots to do and see, David and his family are very friendly and helpful. Shop handy, chippy one minute away, didn't use the local pub as they weren't doing food during early part of the week. Would stay again, thanks guys.

Amazing!

We had a fantastic couple of days at the Olive Barn and we want to come back again in the Autumn. Dave is an excellent host as his local knowledge and recommendations were perfect! We couldn't rate the whole stay any higher!

Beautiful Little Cottage

It is truly a beautiful little cottage, finished to such a high standard, the owner is so welcoming and helpful. We have stayed in both of these cottages now and will be returning again. The small attention to detail is what makes this a perfect holiday retreat. Thankyou David

Olive Barn, Blakeney

Inside of property was exactly as the photographs on the web site showed, i.e. VERY good. Very welcoming, with scented candles, soft lighting & music on arrival. David & Angie, the proprietors, greeted us as we arrived, gave us a quick run down of the property & surrounding facilities, made sure we were comfortable & had their contact details, then left us to enjoy our break. The property was in very good decorative order (shabby chick), with a lot of personal touches that made it "home from home". All done to a very high standard. Welcome pack of essentials provided. Good pub, Italian restaurant , fish & chip shop & local store all within walking distance. Good base for exploring the local area, Would go again & recommend to others. Only "complaint" - Hot tub was not working, but this was being addressed.

An amazing 'Retro' cottage perfect for getaways.

The Olive Barn is a fantastic getaway, with it's clean, well thought out retro design and attention to visitors requirements it makes the Olive Barn a wonderful 'homely' experience. Set in a private courtyard with a jacuzzi, private outdoor garden area and parking, you forget that you are actually still in a small town. A brief walk in just about any direction and you are in the middle of some amazing countryside. The cottage is conveniently close to a mini market, pub, Italian restaurant and a great fish and chip shop so no need to worry about taking the car. A fantastic cottage with welcoming hosts, dog friendly in a great location. What more could you ask for ?

Perfect vintage cute cottage, faultless. Everything you need and more,

Walked in and music playing, lovely and spotless, done to a very very high standard. Shower very modern, espresso machine, washing machine, iron, everything you need. Save is the perfect host and very warm and welcoming. Overall this was an amazon weekend and made better by the perfect cottage . Will be going back many more times. So much to do in surrounding areas aswell, puzzle wood is stunning and beautiful
