About this property
Three-room apartment in country house in Monferrato.
Country house with large garden and panoramic view.
The house has just been restored, well insulated and fresh. It includes a studio on the ground floor and an apartment on the first floor for a total of 8 people. But each apartment can be rented individually and for a few people with rates obviously proportionate (contact us for PRICES CUSTOM)
WI FI THROUGHOUT THE AREA INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
The studio is spacious with a well equipped kitchen. It has a sofa bed and a sofa bed (comfortable! The sofa bed has a comfortable mattress memory) for three people. Spacious shower room.
The apartment consists of a cozy living room with kitchen, two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a bathroom with large shower. The living room has a sofa bed (comfortable) for a fifth person. It has a roof terrace for pleasant outdoor dining.
We offer two bicycles available to our guests free of charge, as well as free use of travel cot for small children.
The house is located in the historic center of the town of Montafia
It is in a prime location as it is housed in a large raised garden supported by the ancient castle wall. There is a stunning panoramic view of the Sanctuary of Don Bosco, in the hills of Turin and the Alps. On this side you can admire beautiful sunsets. To the south is the garden overlooking the lovely square of the parish church. The north side is bordered by another area of the ancient wall that, due to its exposure to the sun throughout the day, after sunset radiates the stored heat to the surrounding area and makes a mild climate even during the early spring and late autumn . Not surprisingly, in the summer the wall cavities are filled with countless caper plants that, with its beautiful flowers, are a typical variety of southern Italy. To the east is the access ramp paved with old bricks.
The property is well fenced and closed.
Guests have the opportunity to take advantage of every point of the garden. There are some corners equipped for pleasant breakfasts and you can taste the seasonal fruit of the trees in the garden.
From this location you can enjoy the perfect relaxing tranquility of the countryside in a confidential manner and, at the same time, experience the country, with its most important services.
The structure is a small shop housed in an ancient wall infernotto. Here you can find on sale objects crafted from our own production (curious wrought metal jewelry, lamps made with dried gourds, baskets willow as you did in ancient times ...), as well as the traditional local products (wine, honey, jams, hazelnuts ...)
We have two parking spaces in a garage and a parking space. Alternatively you can park on the adjacent square.
We are available to accompany our guests on walks and picnics in the countryside or visiting the surrounding areas aboard our fun Citroen Mehari 70s, or to visit the crutin of our house not far from the house. "Crutin" is the old term in Piedmontese dialect which indicates the ancient infernotti excavated into the tuff under the houses used as cellar typical of this area.
We do not live in the structure, but only 100 meters from it, so that our guests have the utmost confidentiality. But we are always present in the area and for any reason it is requested our presence, for various problems or just a chat over a glass of Barbera, we are always ready to intervene.
We want to listen and satisfy any request of our guests within the limit of our possibilities, like breakfasts, meals, entertainment ...
AROUND MONTAFIA
The surroundings of Montafia are very interesting.
In the immediate vicinity there are beautiful Romanesque churches. Within 2 Kilometers there are three! The campaign Montafia ideal for pleasant walks or bike rides. There are stables and fishing lakes and cottages for unforgettable wine tours.
A 5 km from the Basilica of St. John Bosco at Castelnuovo, the birthplace of the famous saint from Asti and 20 km is the beautiful and famous Abbey Vezzolano, one of the oldest and most important monuments of faith and art of Piamonte.
At 20 km there is the town of Asti in the month of September offers the festivities related to the Palio and Duja with its wines.
Just 40 kms away, Turin, easily reached by motorway by train. Renewed city, rich in art and history. Difficult to list in a few words what you can see in the first capital of Italy: the wonderful royal residences, the Egyptian Museum (second only to the Cairo Museum), the Mole ...
A 40 Km from the opposite side there is Alba, the capital of the Langhe. Another area of great food and wine of Piedmont, always competing with Asti for the quality of wines and truffles ... to you the judgment ...
And in November and December this area is in great turmoil because of the look of the White Truffle. Day and night, in the surrounding countryside, you can meet the mysterious "trifolau" work with their dogs, and there are numerous food and wine events where you can enjoy, as well as recipes from Piedmont truffle, even Her Majesty " Bagna cauda"…
