About this property

The Hadley House- blocks from downtown

1920s Bungalow situated a few blocks from the theatre, restaurants, brewery, and hikes. We are a short drive to the 3 golf courses in the area, Fairmont Hot Springs, Georgetown Lake, and Discovery Ski Area and Mountain Biking.

The home is fit with 3 queen beds, all white linens and down feather comforters, air conditioning in the bedrooms, wifi, and a smart TV. There is off street parking located in front of the garage for the renters use.

The kitchen is stocked with cookware, utensils, dining ware, spices, oils, coffee and teas. Simple cleaning supplies can be found under the sink. While the living room is stocked with games, movies, and simple toys for kiddos. The laundry room is supplied with detergent for you and a door to the fenced backyard. The main level bedroom has a large closet should you need to hang any items. This bedroom also has plenty of space for a pack and play/bassinet if you are traveling with a little one. The upstairs bedroom hosts the other two queen beds tucked into their individual nooks. The bathroom, laundry room, and one of the bedrooms is on the main-level for anyone that struggles with stairs.

We are dog friendly and welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs for an additional cleaning fee. The backyard is recently fully-fenced. Dogs are not permitted on the beds and can not be left unattended unless crated.

There are two exterior security cameras. One is located on the garage facing the drive way and the other is on the Northern corner facing the sidewalk. The home and backyard are completely private.

All of the surrounding sidewalks are lit with charming street lights that come on at nightfall and you have views of the C Hill and A Hill. We truly hope that you make yourself at home and enjoy all that this town has to offer.

Great Anaconda location for winter adventures

Nicely appointed small house. Perfect for us. The only issue we encountered was temperamental hot water to shower & hosts responded promptly with instructions to resolve.

Smeltertown

Anaconda is an historical town from the mining industry, wonderfully located to visit Butte, Helena, Wisdom and the Big Hole, and Philipsburg. It is a gorgeous area and anaconda is rapidly changing into a tourist, friendly town. The smelter town brewery is very wonderful and the town very friendly. The Hadley House is spacious and comfortable for a stay and a great place for walking every day around Anaconda. The neighbors and the town are very friendly and authentic. We recommend the Hadley House or exploring the area. Dennis and Nancy.

Hidden spot on the rise

This house has everything we needed and we could easily walk to town. Houses are being updated and businesses renovated. It is a hidden gem. The surrounding area is beautiful and there are several little things to do in the area including learning Anacondas history at the Anaconda Smelter Stack state park, kayaking in Georgetown lake, seeing the falls at Lost Creek and driving to the Sweet Palace in Philipsburg. Thank you for a great stay.

Clean and Quiet spot for your Montana visit

We've stayed in many VRBOs of allllll different levels of goodness. Or badness. This one is definitely in the upper echelons of those we've stayed in. It's basic, few-frills, but it's clean, quiet, and comfortable. In the tiny town of Anaconda we felt safe and cozy in the house while it snowed outside (in late May!). The kitchen goes a step above the basics. A few more cooking items would be useful and some basic things like cooking spray. The washer and dryer were so handy and the host provided detergent which we were appreciative of! The beds were super comfortable and the upstairs loft area was a fun place to sleep. Blackout curtains in the sleeping areas would be useful especially in the summer months when dark hours are so short. It wasn't easy to find a truly quality place to stay in this small town, and I'm glad we found this one and we'd stay again if we find ourselves back in the area.

About the host

Hosted by Lyla

Host profile image
We are an outdoorsy family that wanted to create a space that makes traveling with friends, kids, and/or pets doable in a fun location. We wanted to create a space that checked all of the boxes that were missing at other locations we have visited in the past.

Why they chose this property

The walkability and low maintenance was a high priority for us. We wanted it to be small enough to keep affordable for renters as well.

What makes this property unique

We strive to be clean! Where you sleep is critical. All white linens mean they are bleached and washed HOT. I never felt good at a short term rental that didn’t use white. We also try to think like a renter and receive their feedback to try to do better. We aren’t perfect but we try to be while maintaining our price point. With that said though, people will still be disappointed somewhere. For example: we provide olive oil, coconut oil, and vegetable oil in the kitchen. We had a tenant write a review where they wished that we had spray oil. There really is only so much we can do while trying to keep it affordable, but we do try.
