We had a wonderful stay at this house. He bedrooms were comfortable and it was great to have our own bathrooms too. Spacious kitchen/living/dining and a lovely touch to have some pantry staples available too. Easy check in process. Very good location close to Arthur’s Seat and easy walk into town.
We rented this for a multi-family stay. Everyone liked the rooms, the location, and the layout. Our hosts were gracious and easy to work with. They made us feel welcome and went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. I highly recommend this beautiful place.
Our family had a wonderful stay here. The house is spacious and very well appointed. The information guide was detailed and helpful. Located in the city but not in a busy area, great view, access to the park just around the corner.
Very well appointed, great location, modern facility. Three generations of family in Edinburgh to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary and attend some of the festival activities.
This house was so clean and spacious. Every floor is thoughtful with a guest in mind. The beds are super comfortable and the neighborhood is not only quiet but so close to where you want to be. This is the perfect place to stay and we will definitely be requesting it upon our return to Edinburgh!
My family and I stayed in this wonderful home from which we explored Edinburgh and other areas. It's a beautiful home, well equipped, and everyone enjoyed having their own room. The owners were very responsive. I definitely recommend staying here when you're on travel.
Beautiful and comfortable accomodation, great location, great outlook. Family group of 8 adults felt very much at home.
Would gladly return.

Excellent....our 3rd stay
Wonderful....excellent location......very clean very comfortable accommodation... within walking distance to city centre, could not wish for better, our third stay here
We absolutely loved our stay in Edinburgh and look forward to coming back. This home was the perfect place to explore everything the city has to offer. The only challenge was that we liked the place so much we didn’t want to leave.
This Edinburgh property is probably the best holiday home I've ever stayed in. Set over four floors, it was spacious for three adults and three children. Two living rooms, big kitchen and dining room. Large bedrooms with ensuites. And what a view out to Albert's Seat! Centrally located - we walked into town past Holyrood Palace, Scottish Parliament and up the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle in an easy stroll. Free off-street parking too. It really is a lovely, well appointed property. Surpassed my expectations. Many thanks Mike and Cheryl!
What an amazing apartment. Walking distance to Holyrood House Palace and the Royal mile. Highly recommend for anyone to stay here.

A wonderful place to stay, cosy, clean and ideally located
The property was perfect for our group, with wonderful views, a large kitchen, several cosy rooms and salon, easy access to the city center, with a taste of country side. The owners are very well organised to facilitate the stay. A great place to enjoy a great city.
It was close to the city and had everything we needed.

Wonderful view and location
We had a lovely stay in Edinburgh. The home had everything you might need and was very comfortable. It was also within walking distance to the Palace of Holyroodhouse which was very convenient to tour the palace and then catch the hop on hop off busses. We would definitely stay here again!
From the property owner’s warm welcome and treats to the comfort, location and appeal of the home, we couldn’t have asked for anything better for our stay in Edinburgh.
Very happy with location. Property was excellent for cleanliness.
As ugly Americans we overlooked the smaller spaced areas and design amenities . Property was very comfortable space to be in for the time we were there.
Lovely spacious house perfect for a group of 6 adults. Located in a lovely area with lovely views of Holyrood Park, Arthur’s seat and Salisbury Crags. Spotlessly clean on arrival and everything we needed for our stay.

About the host
Hosted by Mike and Cheryl Cran
We are Mike and Cheryl Cran who own the house. We lived in Edinburgh when we were first married but left over 20 years ago because of our jobs.
We love Edinburgh and fell in love with this house as soon as we saw the stunning views. We use it whenever we can between short term lets and trust you will enjoy its beautiful location in the heart of the city and all that Edinburgh has to offer as much as we do every time we visit.
Our profile photo was taken in July 2015, just after we bought the house and staying in Edinburgh while supporting our daughter playing Lacrosse for Scotland in the Under 19s Lacrosse World Championships.
Why they chose this property
The views from a townhouse set in the city are stunning - virtually rural - and yet you are only 6-7 bus stops or a 15 minute walk from the city centre and all that Edinburgh has to offer as a capital city.
What makes this property unique
A small south facing garden with Holyrood Park over the garden wall provides stunning views, an excellent walking / exercise area and without the normal city noise. The efficiency of a modern house providing warmth and efficient showers with copious hot water. A garage and second parking space are invaluable in a capital city centre property. All that a capital city centre offers close at hand but with the benefit of a "near rural" setting.
