CABIN in Woods, Pet Friendly, Accessible
Our Sweet Cabin is nestled in NE Texas woods and perfect for couples, family or a solitary escape. Enjoy nature and art from 26+ Edom artists integrated into design & decor.
The CABIN sleeps 4 adults + 1-2 kids in uniquely design with warm honey pine walls, vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light.
The MAIN FLOOR includes lofted living, dining, full kitchen, queen bedroom room & full bathroom with universal height toilet and ADA grab bars.
The LOFT has queen bed, futon and sitting area, and is accessible via ladder.
Port-a-crib, high chair and safety gate available upon request.
OUTSIDE SPACES: The Front Porch/Deck is perfect place to read or watch wildlife from the porch swing, hammock, table/chairs.
The Back Deck & Porch are perfect for drinking your morning coffee. Gather round the chimenea for s’mores, ride red wagon, cookout on Weber grill or swing in hammocks overlooking creek bed.
ROAM our 25 acres including a park, kids playground, toddler play area, rock climbing, rock garden and meadow. The MEADOW is the ideal place to watch wildlife, relax, enjoy the sunrise, and stargazing.
OUTSIDE LIVING ROOM, at top of hill offers 2,400sf covered porch with sitting/picnic areas, ping-pong, darts, porch swing, benches and hammocks.
PET Friendly: Your furry family member, under 100 lbs, is welcome with a HEPA fee & signed agreement.

-Kids’ 20 minute scavenger hunt with prizes.
-Sing-a-long with Ms. Kathy

“I always wanted to live in a treehouse!” is Jeff’s response when Retreat guests comment that it feels like they are on top the trees.
Professionally speaking:
Kathy is a community leader & Entrepreneur with over 35+ years of training/ empowering leaders and building the capacity of nonprofit agencies. She is the founder of A Circle of Ten, Inc is a nonprofit building capacity of leaders to improve the quality of life in their community. It's a Network for Collaboration and Teaching Community Organizing, Program Development & Grant Writing as a Process, since 1996. C10 offers monthly 3-day grant writing seminars on-site. It’s common for Dragonhead guests to return to the Retreat for professional development.
Jeffrey, an Architect with 35 years specializing in energy-efficient design, technologies, and construction of homes, churches, and businesses, is renowned for his artistry in creating beautiful structures. Dragonhead Retreat exemplifies this.
Both are active in their community and volunteer with Edom artists bringing Art to Life. As well as nonprofit Veteran and performance efforts working to increase artist and business opportunities in the area.
