About this property

Private mountain lodge and estate w/ lakes, trails, close to Dartmouth, & skiing

Trillium Estate,
Sharon, Vermont

This is a completely private vacation compound in the heart of the Green Mountains of central Vermont near the quintessential New England villages of Woodstock, Vermont and Hanover, New Hampshire. In addition to the lodge-style great house that sleeps 12, the property is nestled in the warm embrace of surrounding hills, fields and forest that offers complete exclusivity in this natural sanctuary. This comfortable and unique reserve is a cozy and energizing getaway for family gatherings.

The house is well prepared with bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces on all four floors. The open architecture kitchen/dining/living area, coupled with the two story cathedral ceilings, gives the main level a bright, airy great-room feel and makes it easy to entertain large groups or relax in front of the field stone fireplace. The sophisticated contemporary residence is ideally positioned on a south-facing hillside near the orchard giving immediate access to the trail network on which exploration adventure awaits. The outdoor destination of choice, however, is always the 3.5 acre spring-fed lake that, with its nearby pavilion for outdoor cooking and eating, allows everyone to spend the day in, on or next to your own private water playground.

Whilst the tendency is to never leave the property, it is also perfect as a jumping-off point to explore the region. East central Vermont is the heart of the Green Mountain State and features some of New England's most beautiful countryside and true northern charm. The resort areas of Killington, Sugarbush and Stowe, each an hour away, host outdoor enthusiasts all year. The White River, a popular waterway for fishing, kayaking and tubing, abuts half of the property and the area is well known by adventure cyclists for its vast network of challenging gravel roads. With Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH just 15 miles away, Vermont Law School in South Royalton, VT 5 miles away as well as Woodstock and Quechee, VT 8 and 10 miles away respectively, Trillium is perfect for family, alumni and events year-round.

Now in its second generation as stewards of this unique estate, The Seniff Family has been seeking solace, peace and healing in these completely secluded folds in Vermont’s Green Mountains for 55 years. Alongside their parents Bob and Lee, siblings Dana, Sandy and Todd grew up restoring the overgrown valley that was once three colonial farms transforming it into the year-round retreat it is today. With Bob and Lee now passed, the siblings invite you to take a brief respite, leave the world behind and enjoy a wholesome experience in your very own exclusively private property.
