Casa Sidra is the ideal lodging if you have young children. The latter will allow you to let them play outside (on a relatively flat field) in front of your rental, while monitoring them from the inside or the terrace. In addition, this cottage has (behind him) a private garden of about 40 square meters. This small independent House of 55m2 will offer you a breathtaking view of the ocean.

Simple but comfortable and roomy accommodation

Very peaceful and comfortable property with gorgeous uninterrupted views of the sea and stunning sunsets. It was everything we hoped for to make a great holiday.

Très bon séjour, très calme, bonne localisation, vue magnifique. Un peu loin du centre névralgique (funchal etc) cependant.

fehlende Mückennetze am Schlafzimmerfenster

Das Häuschen ist toll, aber das Bett mit 1,40 m einfach zu klein. Töpfe und Pfannen sind etwas knapp. Leider ist es sehr schade, dass es kein Fliegennetz oder wenigstens einen Store am Schlafzimmerfenster angebracht ist. Die Mücken haben uns in der ersten Nacht (bei offenenem Fenster) aufgefressen. Von da an konnten wir nur bei geschlossenen Fenster schlafen, nachdem wir auf Mückenjagd waren.

Wonderful view of ocean

A great place to walk along levadas and some steep cliff trails. Yet not far from the sandy beach at Calheta.

Superbe maison parfaitement exposée face à l'océan, dans un environnement d'un calme idéal pour se ressourcer, très bien équipée. Super accueil de Sonia et son époux, sans oublier les petits chats du quartier! Nous recommandons sans retenue! Le logements situant en plus dans la région la plus ensoleillée de Madère! L'île est splendide...

My girlfriend and I recently spent 12 days at Casa Sidra, part of the Au Petit Madere complex, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay.   We met one of the hosts, Pascal, on arrival, and he was very friendly and helpful.  He and Pauline had compiled a book, full of places of interest and their favourite restaurants.  We tried a few of their recommendations during our stay, and were very impressed.   Being mid December, it was initially a bit chilly, so Pascal provided us with two gas-filled radiators, which kept the place warm and toasty.  Most days, though, it reached 70F, with plenty of sunshine, so lots of sunbathing opportunities!   LIVING AREA - spacious and modern, with sofa, table and chairs, and well-equipped kitchen.  Pauline and Pascal very kindly sourced a blender for us, so that we could make juices and smoothies.  Plenty of hot water in the taps, and free, codeless wi-fi.  Clothes-washing facilities were available upon request (just 2 Euros for the washing powder).   BEDROOM - comfortable double bed and spacious wardrobe with coat hangers.  All bed linen provided, including a second duvet.   BATHROOM - powerful and efficient shower, with plenty of hot water.  Toilet flushed very well.  Radiator gave out good heat and dried the towels well.  All towels provided.   PATIO AREA - Quiet, not overlooked, with beautiful views of the sea and sunset.  We enjoyed eating outside and sunbathing on the sun loungers.   Quite a steep hill leading up from the Casa, but the little Fiat 500 that we rented coped well!   LOCATION - Fairly remote (about 45 minutes' drive from the capital, Funchal), so it was good to have the little car.  The nearest supermarket was about 3km away, mainly uphill, but also very walkable, along small roads with pavements.  We also enjoyed a couple of meals at a local restaurant, Prazeres Rurais, which was about 2km away.   The nearest town was Calheta, about 10km away, with a man-made sandy beach and the best supermarket, Pingo.  We also enjoyed the local Sunday fruit and veg market which was about 2km away.  Lovely, fresh, homegrown produce!   All in all, the accommodation was modern, clean and comfortable, the location was quiet and secluded, and the hosts kind and helpful.  We would love to go back there one day.  Highly recommended!

Schönes und gepflegtes Häuschen mit allem für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt Notwendigem ausgestattet. Das Haus liegt innerhalb einer kleinen Feriensiedlung (6 Gebäude) mit ausreichend Abstand. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Formidable

Vue de rêve, super accueil, Pauline et Pascal nous ont bien renseigné sur les découvertes et randonnées à faire sur l'île. Location très propre, bonne literie, déco sympa, et c'est encore mieux que sur les photos du site. Heureusement que l'itinéraire est très précis pour aller jusqu'au gîte, car c'est eu bout du chemin...Mais ça vaut le coup, calme garanti! Nous recommandons chaleureusement cette location.

Schöner Bungalow mit toller Aussicht auf den Atlantik

Wir haben unseren Urlaub auf Madeira sehr genossen. Der Bungalow ist sehr schön eingerichtet, wir haben nichts vermisst. Prazeres hat einige sehr gute Restaurants, wo man günstig landestypische Gerichte bekommt. Außerdem war der kleine Supermarkt in Prazeres für uns meist vollkommen ausreichend. Wir haben in zwei Wochen mit einem Mietwagen die ganze Insel erkundet und viele sehr schöne Wanderungen gemacht.

Ferienhaus ist optimal ausgestattet, Arbeitsplatte in der Küche war etwas zu hoch (bin nur 1,58 m groß). Blick auf das Meer ist ideal. Vermieter war bei allen Fragen behilflich.

Fijne tijd gehad in geweldig vakantiehuisje

Afgezien van het weer was het uitzicht net zo mooi als op de foto, misschien nog wel mooier. Het huis was eenvoudig maar smaakvol en compleet ingericht. Het werd verhuurd door een heel vriendelijk en gastvrij stelletje dat er alles aan heeft gedaan om ons verblijf zo plezierig mogelijk te maken. Het was heerlijk stil, van de nabijheid van doorgaande wegen hoorden wij helemaal niets, omdat deze ons volledig ondergronds passeerden. Wij vonden het bovendien een voordeel dat het huisje ook in ander opzicht rustig en afgelegen lag, dus niet in toeristisch vaarwater. Wij troffen het - in februari - niet met het weer, maar dat was het enige minpuntje.

Geweldig uitzicht

Casa Sidra ligt op een rustig deel van het eiland Madeira met een fenomenaal uitzicht op de oceaan. We werden ontvangen door Pascal en Pauline met een flesje wijn. Alles is in het huis aanwezig. Auto is een must. Wandelen, wel met klimmen en dalen, kan al vanuit het huisje. We werden zelfs door Pascal een keer naar het begin van een wandeling gebracht. De levada-wandelingen zijn geweldig wanneer je geen last hebt van hoogtevrees. We hadden die week in februari prachtig weer. Casa Sidra ligt voor wat betreft de zonnige kant van het eiland ideaal. Tip voor de eigenaren. Stel wat meer huislinnen beschikbaar voor gasten die een week of langer blijven. De ligstoelen zijn aan vervanging toe.

Simply perfect. Fully recommend.

Everything was perfect. The house is super nice and very quiet. Pauline and Pascal are very kind and helpful and you can easily communicate in english. We got a local wine as an invitation. The house has everything you need. The parking place is just in front of the house. You feel like at home. The bathroom is very nice. The kitchen very well equipped. Separated bedroom with wonderful ocean view. The main dining room with kitchen and sofa has a wonderful ocean view either. You can actually spend your whole stay just in this house. But Madeira is so beautiful that it would be a pity. There is no washing machine in the house but you can ask the owner to use another washing machine. Maybe I would add "safe" in the house to hide passport or cash but I must say we felt very confident on Madeira and I believe it's a very safe place. The owner has a cute dog which is very friendly to everyone. We didn't miss anything in the house, it's a 5 stars accommodation. I fully recommend this place.

Un pur moment de bonheur !

Nous recherchions un endroit calme, avec le confort et la gentillesse d’un propriétaire à proximité, pour nous donner les bons plans de l’île, et bien en ce qui nous concerne nous avons trouvé tous ces éléments lors de notre semaine merveilleuse passée sur Madère. La « Casa Sidra » est un endroit merveilleux avec une vue sur l’océan à vous couper le souffle. Rentrer chez soi le soir, après de bonnes randonnées, prendre l’apéro sur la terrasse sont des purs moments de bonheur. Daniel et Nathalie. Madère c’est sur, nous y reviendrons et surtout que maintenant nous avons une bonne adresse pour nous loger !!!

Sehr schönes Haus, traumhafter Blick auf das Meer

Wir waren zwei Wochen im Oktober dort. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und hat einen sehr schönen Ausblick auf den Atlantik. Die Ausstattung ist gut und modern. Insgesamt ein schöner Urlaub, gute Lage als Ausgangspunkt für den westlichen Teil der Insel. Ein Auto ist unserer Meinung nach jedoch zwingend erforderlich. Pauline und Pascal sind sehr nett, hilfreich und immer da wenn es notwendig ist. Alles in allem absolut weiter zu empfehlen! Annette & Thomas

"Là tout n'est qu'ordre et beauté, luxe, calme et volupté...."

Magnifique séjour au calme et une vue dont on ne se lasse pas... Une petite maison parfaite pour des vacances de rêve aux paysages extraordinaires. Très propre, agréable et décorée avec goût. Proche de la charmante bourgade de Jardim Do mar et d'une ferme pédagogique au top pour les enfants ainsi que pour les parents qui se prélassent sur la terrasse de la maison de thé le dimanche matin après le marché recommandé par Pascal...sans oublier l'excellente table à 5 minutes en voiture de la location. Belle rencontre avec Pascal, des enfants ravis qui ont pu jouer à Robinson Crusoé et explorer les alentours avec une baby sitter hors pair....Kéra, le chien le plus gentil sur terre et l'ami des touts petits...(ils en parlent encore...) Petite adresse que je garde précieusement dans mon carnet et qui mérite qu'on en parle (pas trop quand même, pour nous, égoïstes voyageurs qui souhaitent garder secret les bons plans :-) !)

Modern und ruhig

Ein gut ausgestattetes neuwertiges modernes und sauberes Ferienhäuschen in ruhiger Lage mit Blick aufs Meer. Die Vermieter sprechen gut englisch und waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Besonders gut hat uns die perfekt eingerichtete Küche gefallen, man kann so kochen wie zu Hause und es fehlt einem nix. In der Nähe gibt es auch einen kleinen Supermarkt und Restaurants. Allerdings waren wir zum wandern dort und haben uns eher die ganze Insel angeschaut als den Ort, wo wir gewohnt haben und können nicht viel dazu sagen ;-).

Sehr schöne Wohnung, herrliche Ruhe und ein phantastischer Meerblick

Das Haus ist neu und sehr gepflegt. Lage ist phantastisch Ausstattung entspricht den Angaben Die Hilfestellung bei der Anreise durch die Bilder von Pauline und Pascal waren hilfreich für die Anreise Wir können jedem der Ruhe und Erholung sucht dieses Feriendomizil empfehlen In der näheren Umgebung in und um Prazeres gibt es einige gute Restaurants (Auto ist nicht von Nachteil) Wer die schöne Natur sucht sich erholen will und sich am Meer nicht sattsehen kann ist hier genau richtig Pauline und Pascal sind Gastgeber die da sind wenn man Sie braucht und nicht da wenn man Sie nicht braucht Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit Petra und Herbert

Très bon séjour

Très bon séjour,le gîte est magnifique et très bien équipé, c'était parfait pr nous et notre petit garçon de 2ans. Il y avait d'ailleurs tout ce qu'il fallait pr lui. Et quelle vue!!!un petit coin de paradis. Pauline et Pascal sont des hôtes très accueillants et de bons conseils, qui ont tous les docs nécessaires pr harpenter l'île. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse !

Super-ruhiges Häuschen mit Ozeanblick

Wir haben 12 schöne Tage im Casa Sidra verbracht. Es liegt extrem ruhig zwischen einigen Feldern, so dass man draussen tatsächlich völlige Stille hat, und nur Vogelzwitschern hört. Das Ferienhäuschen steht alleine ("Haushälfte" im Titel ist wohl eine fehlerhafte automatische Übersetzung), und alles ist neu. Dementsprechend auch in super Zustand. Zum Kochen wären einige Gewürze ausser Salz und Pfeffer noch schön gewesen. Einen zusätzlichen Kochtopf lieh Pauline uns unkompliziert aus ihrer eigenen Küche aus. Pauline und Pascal, die Vermieter, hatten uns noch einen Anfahrtsplan mit Fotos der Abzweigungen zugeschickt. Den sollte man auf jeden Fall ausdrucken, dadurch wird die Anfahrt sehr viel einfacher! Das Haus liegt auf 400 Metern Höhe, dadurch wird es abends im März noch recht schnell kühl. Wenn man es wärmer haben will, fährt man einfach in 10 Minuten nach Jardim do Mar oder Paul do Mar. Besonders schön war die Wanderung von Paul do Mar durch die Schlucht oberhalb des Hafens. Eine ganz großartige Landschaft.

Excellente adresse

Très bonne adresse. Une maison très propre et très bien équipée, bien conçue et lumineuse, dans un environnement exceptionnel, face à l'océan. Situation apparemment excentrée, en fait les voies rapides permettent de rejoindre en peu de temps toutes les zones de l'île. Et au retour quel plaisir de retrouver le calme , l'espace et le paysage... Accueil très sympathique. Pauline et Pascal sont très réactifs et fournissent toute l'aide souhaitée (documentation, complément de chauffage), et conseils pour les randonnées. Un séjour qui nous laisse de très bons souvenirs.

parfait!

Sejour parfait, à 45 min de l'aéroport. Nous avons passé une semaine à la casa sidra. Vue exceptionnelle sur la mer et sur des couches de soleils incroyables. Extrêmement bien pensé et décoré, moderne et fonctionnel, nous nous sommes senti comme à la maison. C'est aussi grâce à l'accueil de Pauline et Pascal, qui savent s'adapter aux hôtes qu'ils reçoivent. Nos filles de 3 et 5 ans ont adoré pouvoir gambader dehors, leur faire des bouquets et surtout jouer avec leur jeune chienne. Pleins de bons conseils de rando, de chose à voir. Une adresse que l'on recommande vivement!
