"The Eagle's Nest" is in a great location directly across the street from the beach! The location is close to The Kitty Hawk Pier. There are lots of restaurants in the Kitty Hawk area or you can adventure off to the southern end of the OBX (Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, Manteo) to enjoy what they have to offer. Duck is the neighboring village just north of us (10 minutes away), it is a quaint village which offers unique shops, restaurants and a boardwalk on the Currituck Sound. Duck is also famous for its biking and jogging/walking paths.

The perfect OBX vacation awaits you with "The Eagles Nest"! This charming Oceanside four bedroom/two bath beach cottage will not disappoint. This quintessential beach box sleeps eight. The floor plan features four bedrooms - two bedrooms and one bathroom are located on either side of the cottage, one with a queen bed and one with two twins. The family room, kitchen and dining room are in the center, which offers an open floor plan - great for gathering as a family. The kitchen is fully equipped including refrigerator/icemaker, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker and keurig. The dining room seats eight.

When its beach time walk directly across the street to the ocean! After the beach, rinse off in the enclosed outside shower.

Relax on the deck and enjoy the ocean view! The deck area offers a great opportunity to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon adult beverage, sun bathe or just visit with family and friends.

We also have a porch swing and picnic table area located on the ground level, near the enclosed outdoor shower. The laundry room is also located in this area.
Parking available for six cars. Key less entry to the cottage and laundry room.

This house was absolutely perfect for our beach week! It was clean and plenty of space! Perfect for kids! Just a short walk across the road to the sand was wonderful! 100% recommend and would definitely go back to stay!

Convenient beach spot

The house was perfect for our group. Super short walk to the beach, ocean views from the deck, kitchen had all the essentials. Even had some cute restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was wonderful. The cleaning company didnt come before we came, I reached out to the property manager and she responded very quickly, offered for someone to come, refunded the cleankng fee and gave us a giftcard to a local restaurant. Stuff happens and she dealt with it quickly. Would definitely come back

Beach Road Gem

If an old-school beach house steps away from the breakers sounds good, Eagle's Nest should make your consider list. It's not a "Million Dollar Mushroom," rather it's plain and simple, the way vacays ought to be. You've got TVs and WiFi, not that you should pay attention to either while allegedly trying to rest, a full kitchen, two full baths, four bedrooms, mid-century modern furnishings, and a short drive to restaurants and attractions. While we were there, the ancient DSL went kaput for good, and, at our suggestion, the owner opted to replace it with some blazing fast broadband and an upgrade to the cable service (yes, guilty as charged for paying attention to those things). The manager even comp'd two nights for the inconvenience when the interweb went out. Great people to work with. Overall experience was excellent, so we'll be back.

wonderful week in Kitty Hawk at Eagle's Nest

What a perfect location, just a few houses away from beach access! The house is well laid out for two small families to share, as we did, and the kitchen is well appointed with appliances and cookware. We ate some meals at the picnic table and spent evenings on the porch. Washer/dryer are relatively new and work well. There was a small problem with the kitchen sink, and Liz the property manager responded immediately and the issue was fixed by a handyman promptly. We would definitely stay again!

Nice little getaway to OBX

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was accessible to everything we needed whether shopping for gifts and/or food. Groceries you have you choice of several places to stock up for the week. The access to the beach was just a short trip and we were on the beach tanning and enjoying the beach life! There is no linens provided so be sure to bring your own sheets and pillowcases as well as towels and wash cloths. Utensils were not a problem as they had all that we needed already there. Hope this helps with your decision to stay here.

Nice place at the beach

The property is good for 2 families. There are 2 individual areas divided by the living room and a kitchen. There is a short walk to the beach. Nice place for biking. The grocery store and Walmart are 5 minutes to drive. The refrigerator sounded like it was going. It could be an issue soon. The screen door closer needs to be fixed. But that did not affect our stay. We really enjoyed it.

Great OBX Beach Location

If you love the beach this is your place - only 35 yards to the beach access and 45 yards more over the dune(s) to the beach! We got run off the beach quite often due to afternoon thunderstorms and the walk back was a relief. No lifeguards on the beach. Plenty of space under the cottage to store beach gear and the outside shower located there was especially pleasing. Cottage set-up is very functional even though the square footage is minimal. Wi-Fi and cable TV worked wonderfully. Kitchen could use some pots & pans. Weber grill and washer/dryer under the cottage in the auxiliary area was a bonus. Communication with Liz, the booking agent was excellent. Location at MP 1.5 provides easy access off the island to great golfing opportunities. Central Island location allows the best access to Nags Head/Kill Devil Hills/Manteo to the south and Southern Shores/Duck/Corolla to the north. Food Lion and WalMart within 1 mile, and Duck Donuts less than 1/2 mile.

Exceeded Expectations

Everything about our stay exceeded expectations! The location of the property is even better than described. There is a vacant lot kitty corner along the beach, which means there is an unobstructed view of the ocean from the deck. Additionally, the house itself is only 2 houses down from public beach access. The keyless entry made check in and coming and going from the house a breeze. The space downstairs was accessed by the same code, and is where the charcoal grill and laundry machines were located. That space was large enough to store beach chairs, boogey boards, bikes and beach umbrella which we easily rented from Moneysworth when we rented towels and bed linens (this year they were not providing them, I assume due to COVID). That process was seamless as well- our order was delivered free of charge and was waiting when we arrived. The kitchen had all the basics - a few fry pans, oven safe dishes and pizza pans, plus plenty of utensils and plates and glasses. The blender was small "Magic Bullet" type so if you're looking to make big batch smoothies best to bring your own. Communication with Liz was outstanding! She was incredibly responsive, even after check in late on Friday evening. Overall the stay was better than we could have expected, I only wish we'd been able to stay longer!

problems

While we enjoyed our stay there are some things that need attention. 1. The smoke alarm in the hallway is just hanging down by wires. 2. the air filters are in bad need of attention. 3. over by the broom closet there is a soft spot in the flooring 4. the coffee pot will only work if you manually hold the top down during brewing. 5. we had a hard rainstorm while there, and water poured in through the stove filter and dripped onto the stove- a definate fire hazard. Hope these things will be corrected so the next visitors will enjoy their stay.
