Great house

We had an amazing time at this lake house. Location was perfect with just a 5 minute boat ride to Powell Valley Marina. Path to the lake was easily managed by everyone. Highly recommend this house.

Norris Lake

Property was nice. No steps to water was great. If we had one complaint, would like to have better bed matters to sleep on.

Relaxing by the lake w/all ages

We had an amazing weekend on Norris lake. The property manager John was great to work with and very accommodating. Our group ranged in age from 88 to 2, and everyone had a blast. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked. We can't wait to return.

Birthday celebration

We had a great time. The house was very nice. View of the lake was spectacular Kitchen was very well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is to replace the gas grill. It is old and rusty and doesn’t work well at all. Highly would recommend and book again

Spacious and clean

Great house that could host a large family. Plenty of bedrooms and full bathrooms. Linens were on the cheaper side, worked fine but if you're picky you may want to bring your own bath towels and sheets. Whole house was very clean and spacious. Two refrigerators and two dishwashers is genius for a vacation house. Loved the hot tub and easy walk to the private dock. Kids loved the air hockey table in the basement. The slide on the dock was a fun bonus! We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome stay

We have stayed at a number of lake houses and this was our favorite by far. Great for larger groups. Open layout with 2 refrigerators and dish washers. Easy accessibility to the lake, especially when compared to other properties. The dock was the highlight for us. Perfect spot for lounging by the lake. The kids spent hours jumping and sliding down into the water. Would highly recommend!

Cannot beat lake view

The home will be great once completed but it's under construction . We wouldn't have minded if it was advertised as such but the home has a lot of remodel feels to it . No blinds , the back deck under construction , furniture worn, half painted and updated .

Great Location, Amazing Dock, Mediocre Communication

Here's the short summary: This is one of the best houses on the lake. Location is great, dock is amazing, minimal stairs. Our family had a wonderful time and we would definitely book this property again. The beds are great (bring your own pillow), the house is well furnished, the slope is much better than stairs (though still an effort), and the yard/hottub are a nice bonus. Here is my one complaint. The garage (Attached to the house) is under construction. It wasn't and would not have been a deal breaker for us, but it sure would have been nice to be given a heads up. There was constant hammering, sawing, and nailing for several days. The property manager said delays made it so he had no way of knowing, but its been under construction for months and there was obviously a way to know. At some point in the near future there is going to be a renter who has to listen to the drywallers all day and deal with the dust and eventually cutting a hole into the kitchen. I hope that renter gets a heads up. There were no apologies made from the property manager for the lack of a heads up. He did offer to to look to move us, 2 days after he promised to follow up with me and we had settled in. We didn't and wouldn't have taken the move even with advanced notice, because so few properties on the lake fit our large family this well. It just would have been nice not to start our vacation off pulling up to a house with a full construction site in the front yard. Common courtesy is all that was expected. In addition to the construction there was a shattered glass pane on one door downstairs with shards of glass in the grass and on the sidewalk which made bare feet a no go. There was also a screen door laying on the back porch that should have just been removed from the property. All in all, don't expect perfection and you will love this house. Also if you are reading this and your reservation is in the month of July or August of 22, I would call and double check the construction schedule.

Great location, size, and amenities

Plenty big enough for our 6 adults, 3 kids, and 2 toddlers, with a variety of possible room configurations. Great amenities, including double fridges, and dishwashers. Kitchen well-stocked with tableware, dishes, cooking tools, etc. Best table I've seen yet for all of us eating together: long and wide. Convenient to dock (to climb, we did no boating). No good off-road walking path, but the road is lightly traveled and walking along it was the next best thing.

Lovely area

This was our first visit to Norris Lake. Loved the lake. Loved the location- peaceful, starry nights. Plenty of room. Loved swimming off the dock. Only recommendations- maybe new mattresses- some were quite lumpy. The big table in the kitchen area- just wished it was a regular height and had real chairs not stools. We had my 86 year old dad with us and he was not able to sit on the stools. We all gathered around the small kitchen table to play cards with him so we made it work. Would definitely return.

Great location

House was well equipped and stocked. Plenty of room for our family. There were a few things that needed addressed but got resolved. The communication with the property manager was a little difficult and hard to get a hold of but overall had a great stay.

Wonderful destination wedding!

We had a wonderful, 3 day weekend, 2020 family reunion, destination wedding! The property, indoor and outdoor spaces were amazing! The kitchen was a dream with 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers. We had plenty of room. We had the ceremony in the front yard and reception in the back. The weather was beautiful and we enjoy a bonfire each nights - s'mores & all. It was perfect for our group of 30 family and friends. Also, the property manager was very helpful and responsive. We plan to return next summer to enjoy the water activities.

Easy Does It indeed!

Beautiful k look Amedeo to home with easy, no steps access to lake/dock. The slide was a huge hit! Full size air hockey table and beautiful hot tub also added fun. TVs only in the two living rooms. Don’t forget hand soaps, paper towels and a few garbage bags.

Awesome vacation!

Oh my - what an amazing week! To watch my grandchildren ages 5 to 22 having the time of their life meant so much! The slide was such a hit, but we also rented a pontoon, a paddle board & brought kayaks. Everyone had “first time” adventures. Badminton, volleyball, and cornhole was easy to play in the nice yard. We had fires with s’mores each night along with an outdoor theater! We had plenty of room for our large family & the kitchen was well equipped. It could use an extra mixing bowl & larger cookie sheet for the bakers. The crockpot was a nice addition as we used it at least twice. Beautiful home & view! Our family has had many nice vacations from Lake Erie to the Gulf, but to hear this was by far our best vacation brought tears to me eyes!

Experienced traveler overall very pleased

So I’ll preface this review with the fact that I have been traveling 240+ days a year for the last 10+ years. I have lifetime Marriott titanium Elite status and have an Embassador status as well. I’m lifetime diamond with Hilton also. All that being said I was nervous that a Vrbo may not workout all that well. Turns out I was wrong. We had four family’s on the trip 6 kids and 8 adults. The house had an abundance of space and the kitchen was 100% setup for a large group with its 2 fridges and dishwashers! The dining room table was the perfect size as we all had a seat for dinner cards and games! The dock was well done all though the slide was not there as advertised (thus the 4 star rating on the description). Overall boating in this lake and from this slip was awesome especially with the private boat lunch 4 doors down from the house! Fishing from the docks was ok, we caught enough for a fish fry and chicken dinner one night. (Bobbers with 6’ line and worms for blue gill. Sinker with 2 worm walleye rig worked well for catfish) House was a brand new flip so we had all new everything it was great for the most part. We had a few hiccups with the ice maker and ac system both of which where addressed same day by Chad and john. Both of them where great to deal with. We all decided we would def come back! Word to the wise plan showers and hot water usage as you don’t want an angry wife with a cold bath while you run the dishwasher upstairs (not that it happened to me or anything 😳) Ultimately this house met all my expectations for the trip and the service we received from chad and john for all the small issues and hiccups was great! On par with any hotel I’ve stayed at. Last word of advise bring coffee filters, dish soap, dishwasher tabs and a scrub brush as they aren’t included and if your like me and usually stay in hotels and resorts you don’t tend to think about these things. Also if you are trying to work here while on vacation forget it cell phone reception is awful and internet is dish based so not really usable for anything other than email. Again overall highly recommended and we will be back!
