Thanksgiving Week Get away

I stayed her with my mom for two nights during thanksgiving week. The property was so cute and plenty of room for us two. We got a bit snowed in the first day but stayed plenty warm with the fireplace and heater and even ventured out for a walk around the neighborhood.

Visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon

We were looking for a good location to stay in to most easily access Zion and Bryce Canyon, and Duck Creek Village seemed like it was the most equidistant between the two. We enjoyed our stay in the cabin, it was a good size for us and our two college-age sons. The kitchen was well-outfitted and it was nice to use the fireplace each night. Buy groceries on the way because there isn't much in Duck Creek Village. We shopped in Kanab and that worked well for us. Also, having a vehicle with 4x4 for the steep, unpaved roads is a good idea.

Beautiful cabin and location

The cabin was just like the pictures that were posted. The cabin is in a beautiful location and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this cabin. You do have to climb a short steep hill to get to it but that added fun into the adventure. The cabin sits up on the hill above Duck Creek Village.

Cozy, Scenic Retreat

Beautiful, warm, comfortable place. At high elevation and in January, unsurprisingly there was a lot of snow - we noticed a number of drivers struggling to get up some of the hills. There's no 'service' nearby to help you out if you get stuck or can't make it up a hill, so be sure to come prepared. It was a great place to come back to after hiking in nearby Bryce and Zion - hot showers, fully equipped kitchen, and an awe inspiring view of the countless stars in the night sky!

The cabin was lovely, and very relaxing! However, there were 2 of us staying for 3 nights with only 1 washcloth for the entire stay, and at least another bath towel and some toiletries would have been nice. Also, the hairdryer needs to be replaced. We could not get the fan or light in the downstairs bedroom to work. Lovely anyhow

Beautiful home!

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful home in the mountains. It was halfway between Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park, so we stayed 3 nights and were able to visit both. Our host was very responsive to texts and phone calls. We would definitely stay here again.

Would stay again.

Overall the cabin was very nice, perfect size for a small group. My only knock was the floors were dirty, we have a crawler and 20 minutes in his knees and feet were black. They had cleaning supplies so we cleaned the floors and it was fine after that. Communication with the owner was easy and good, he kept us up to date with any information we needed. Would stay again.

Beautiful mountain getaway

Our family had a great stay at Meadow View Heights. The cabin is spotless and charming. The beds are comfortable and the couch was a great spot to watch a movie after a day of hiking. Scott was an easy communicator with quick responses. The location is quite remote. At the time of our stay (end of April, 2021) there was only one restaurant open within half an hour of the cabin. 'Aunt Sue's Chalet' served a great meal. We also experienced a winter storm warning and had accumulating snow. The roads are rustic mountain dirt roads. Four-wheel drive beyond the March recommendation is a good idea. The East entrance of Zion National Park is 50 minutes away. The visitor center is closer to an hour and a half. That didn't stop us from visiting Zion on two different days. It was well worth the drive and beautiful! I'm glad we found this spot and could enjoy this beautiful cabin for a few days!

Awesome place

We loved our stay. It was a nice place and a fun getaway. There were no dish towels to dry dishes with and the dishes there were dirty. There were no linens in the bathroom (wash cloths) or bath soap for the shower. Those things would have been nice but overall our stay was awesome. Thank you

About the host

Thank you for booking your stay with us in our family cabin thru VRBO. We are delighted that you chose our place to stay in Duck Creek Village. We realize you have many options when choosing your vacation, so it’s truly our pleasure to host you!
We are a family of four that currently resides in Las Vegas, NV. We purchased this cabin in 2017 as a family retreat for many reasons. A few of those reasons include escaping the oppressive desert heat, enjoying winter sports, fishing, hiking, relaxing and just taking in the fresh mountain air. Our occupations in Las Vegas, as a real estate agent and medical esthetician keep our lives very busy. Therefore, we aren’t able to be here as much as we would like. We’re positive that you’ll love the mountain as much as we do, which is why we offer our little mountain get away to amazing guests such as yourself. Quite frankly, it’s just too beautiful and tranquil to keep to ourselves.
Shortly after purchasing the cabin, we underwent several upgrades and renovations to the exterior and interior. These upgrades were done to update the space and make it more comfortable for ourselves and guests alike. We have decorated the cabin with some family heirlooms and trinkets. Each has a story that can be told regarding family members past and present. We truly hope you enjoy your stay and treat our home as if it was your own. However, it is written down here for you to reference to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish.
If you have any questions about this instruction manual or any issues you may have during your stay, please feel free contact me directly at (702) 497-6547.
Sincerely,
Scott, Julia, Declan and Calley

Why they chose this property

We love the tranquility of the mountain and viewing the wildlife in the summer. It's the perfect get away from the hot summers in Las Vegas!
