We really enjoyed our stay at Sara's home. The apartment is very large. We are a family of 4 and this 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment was very comfortable. The neighborhood is charming and the balcony off the bedrooms has lovely views and sunny out there in the afternoons. The coffee shop at street level is perfect for morning cappuccino and pastries. The gated entry felt secure. This is in the southern most section of Trastavere so it is quite far from the main attractions. You must either walk a lot or figure out the tram and bus schedules (or Uber if you don't mind the cost). More pillows would have been nice and more bath towels and linens generally were needed. We could never figure out how to get the towels warmers working (if that's what they are?) so the towels were always damp. Having a clothes washer was nice and we managed to get it to work by unplugging/replugging it to get it to start. Without a dryer though you have to plan ahead to have things dry in time. Nice place and might stay again if we were wanting to explore other than the main tourist sites.
This apartment was a truly wonderful place to stay. The location was great for walking almost anywhere and convenient to buses and trains. The apartment was large and airy and very secure. The balconies were great for views and handy for drying clothes. The cafe on the first floor was wonderful for morning cappuccino. Would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was overall very well located, close to everything and very big. There is actually two bathrooms. The balcony is very nice to see the city at night. We had problem with hot water, but the owner fixed it very quickly. Check-in was not as easy as other places, but ok. Interior of the apartment quality is sub par (very poor material quality, but ok for a vacation rental. Would rent again.
Not Trastevere. NO WASHER. remove sheets at check out, if we knew the cond. of the beds NEVER stayed there! Couldn't cook the pans dirty and teflon flaking. Wanted E72 at chkout but no where in agreemt. PhotoS
ment agreement
Clean and spacious apartment with a great cafe downstairs for morning coffee and baked goods. Near a grocery story and restaurants. A little off the path from site seeing but it works for someone looking to live like the locals. I would rent again.
Sara was a great communicator when we needed something. We stayed for 16 nights and it was wonderful. We had some struggles with the wifi but Sara was quick to get it fixed. Our only suggestion would be to have the apartment equipped with more linens ( towels, face cloth, kitchen towels etc). Overall this is an amazing apartment.
I would recommend if you plan to stay in Rome.
This 2 bedroom, 2 full bathroom apartment is very spacious! Absolutely thrilled with our stay. It's decorated lovely inside and tons of room to spread out with a very large living room with large table to eat at and large couch to sit. This is a much bigger apartment than most and what is shown in pictures. Nice for a larger family as someone could use the couch to sleep. Lovely kitchen with everything one needs for a week stay. There are 2 cute terraces- the bigger one has a storage closet where the washer is stored. The drying rack is also stored in this closet. This apartment was perfect for my spouse and I as we were close to where our daughter was living for school. It is not as close to some of the sites such as colosseum, or Vatican city. Transportation through the bus or tram apps made it very easy to get around, however. It is very close to the train station to and from the airport- only about a 10-15 minute easy walk with luggage. There is a cafe' and restaurant below for either morning pastries or evening vino! It is on a main road so there may be a possibility of some traffic noise at night. On Saturday nights there is a tiny bit of noise as they set up for a giant flea markets hosted right below on Sundays. We were too tired from our adventures to notice the traffic most nights. Our host, Sara, was responsive and respectful. We would stay here again.
I am puzzled about writing this review. We loved the apartment and its location. It is located in a very secure and gated complex. We were on the 4th level and the place is a corner unit. Nice views from the balcony of daily life in Rome. Especially nice are the series of places to eat on the first floor. Very friendly staff in these places. Our check-in was seamless and easy. Having two bathrooms was helpful. While we loved the apartment, with just a few steps, the owner could significantly improve the VRBO experience. My shower appeared to have had a shelf in the past based on the holes in the wall. I had to keep everything on the shower floor. In the living room, dish ware is stored in a large cabinet with a large swinging door which drags on the floor and consequently is slowly damagingly the floor. Light bulbs in the ceiling flash and need replaced. A washer is advertised but it is outside in the balcony storage shed. Not only is the shed filthy but the washer had not been cleaned in quite some time. I had to get a a bucket of soap and water and wash it in and out before we could even attempt to use it. Balcony furniture was dirty and soap piece has a large split in the wicker seat. Kitchen has sufficient supplies to cook. I would go back to this rental but the owner could spend just a little capital to make it so much better.

The unit was very pretty and laid out nicely for a family of 4. We enjoyed the location too. We were a bit disappointed in the number of maintenance issues such as missing light bulbs and broken bathroom fixtures. The bed linens and pillows were of the lowest quality. Overall nice stay but would be much better with a few updates.
We enjoyed our stay in Sara’s 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment very much.. The accommodations and location were perfect for our group of 4 adults. It would also suit a family with children.
There were a couple of small cleaning issues which we were able to deal with but, overall, we would stay there again.
Great location and spacious apartment for a family
We had a great stay in a very located apartment. Easy to go to main attractions and very convenient, spacious apartment with 2 bathrooms, equipped kitchen and washer. Fabrizio and Claudia were super helpful and responded promptly to my questions. Beware there is a tax to be paid upon check in of $7 Euro per day/person. It was not written in the listing, so this was a surprise to me. Overall we had a good stay.
Grab this place if you can!!! Wonderful Apartment. Lots of Space. Lovely Host!
Sara is great. She met us and gave us a great tour of the lovely apartment. Her communication was wonderful and fast and very informative. She gave us great recommendations for places to eat, but make a reservation ahead of time as we did not and never got in to eat at those places. :(
The apartment is big. It feels almost bigger than the photos. With two balconies, large living & dining area, two bedrooms with comfortable beds and pillows, and great working Air Conditioners it was PERFECT. We felt happy to return after each day of exploring Rome because it feels like home. For us traveling with our two children the large size was great as they had their own room (instead of a sofabed like so many other places we looked at.)
We were looking for a quiet apartment away from the hustle and bustle, and Sara's place nailed it!! Only a 10-15 minute walk from the Trastevere Stazione (that's with kids and luggage.) What's even better is that it was a 5 minute stroll with said kids to get to the Tram station with a Tabac right on the way. (Remember to get your transport tickets from the Tabac before 5pm b/c they'll be closed soon after that.) the Tram took us right to Piazza Venezia, and it's a much easier intro to public transport in Rome than the buses. We awoke on Sunday morning to the sounds of the fantastic and HUGE flea market on the street below. if you forgot to bring anything on your trip you can buy it there, and more.
Quick access to the path along the river was great for morning or evening (when the many bars and restaurants and celebrations happen) strolls.
I could go on and on about all the great things about this apartment. I think you can see by my enthusiasm that we really loved this place, and we will be back to stay again.
We give it 10 stars instead of 5.
