Great location but...

Starting with the great stuff - location, location, location. Perfectly situated near the cathedral, bus, train, beach, and Old Town. Easy walking. Yes it was noisy but I don’t think it would be different anywhere else near here. The noise comes with the area of town. And the apartment was spacious enough for us and kind of quaint. The not so great. We had to go across town to check in rather than being met at the property. This was an inconvenience and not my normal experience but still acceptable. The really not so great. Cell signal was pretty non-existent and the wifi was terrible. When we arrived there was rotting food and mold in the refrigerator. The only thing in the kitchen for cleaning was a disgustingly grimy sponge. No dish cloth, dish towel, etc. Just a gross sponge. The place was really just not clean. The bathroom was mildewed and the floors had not been cleaned. There were no basics that we are used to from other properties. I sent an email to the property manager and got no response. I did however get several emails saying they hope we enjoyed our stay and to email them with feedback. Irony If it had been clean with some basic supplies I would have rated 4 stars. I hope things turn around for future renters.

Très bien situé dans la ville mais huisseries anciennes donc aucune isolation phonique...boules quies obligatoires si vous ne voulez pas être réveillé à maintes reprises !!

Wonderful location, but noisy and needs updating.

I will start with the positive. The apartment is in a wonderful location. It is an easy 10 - 20 minute walk to anywhere in San Sebastián that you want to go to. The neighborhood is full of friendly cafes and bars and has a nice grocery store a few blocks away. The queensize bed is new and comfortable. The building is old and does have a lot of character, but the windows are original and have no soundproofing. The apartment is one floor off the street and in the front of the building. There is constant street noise from cars, motorbikes and people. Also, the apartment is dark and dated. It felt like visiting my grandmother. The bathroom is particularly old and worn and in need of a refresh. There is only one small towel bar that we couldn’t use because one end is not attached to the wall properly. My husband and I loved San Sebastián and will be back.

Wonderful Experience

Our apartment in beautiful San Sebastian was one of the best we have stayed in. It was super clean and comfortable and the check-in was smooth. The location between the river and the bay was so convenient. We would love to come back.
