Tranquil and relaxing best describes the lovely getaway treasure. Bordered by the
fully wooded Bulls Island State Park and the Delaware River with easy access to hiking, biking, kayaking and much more. Sit on the deck and watch the river and wildlife (there is a baldheaded eagles nest nearby, lots of dear, beaver, river otter, etc.) At sunrise the sky and river have a fantastic salmon-pink hue.

Beautiful Delaware River Stay

Beautiful location on the Delaware River. Lots of cute local browsing & shopping areas to enjoy. Great local eateries to choose from. Best part is you are right on the Delaware for waterfront views and activities! Host was great and communicated with us easily. We look forward to returning during the summer months!

We had a great stay. Gorgeous view and the place had all the accommodations we could want. Very close to some wonderful restaurants and the walking trail made for a fun afternoon.

Wonderful River Retreat

This is our favorite VRBO property. Absolutely beautiful setting with magnificent views of the Delaware River. Great accommodations that are maintained with care and attention. Also, great location close to New Hope and Lumberville on the PA side of the Delaware River and Lambertville, Stockton and Frenchtown on the NJ side.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The porch was a fantastic place to start and end the day. We enjoyed the wildlife too. The host was very responsive to our needs and provided everything he could. Peaceful spot by the Delaware River

A real Zen property a few feet from the water’s edge. Watch the water flow by while you sip your tea. Bring your bikes for the lengthy bike trail running along the river, and just a few hundred feet away.

Lovely place

The place was just like it shows. Very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. It was a surprise to find coffee and tea there which was nice to have to not worry about going out to get since our visit was a short weekend stay.

Quiet, peaceful, exceptional river views. Accurate description and comfortable space including room for adult kids to come and go. Hosts were attentive, accommodating and helpful. I would stay here again. It’s a bit distant from small towns for restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful Location; Wonderful Accommodations

The River Retreat is very aptly named. Located on a secluded section of the Delaware River with a large back porch to take in the wonderful river view. The accommodations were excellent as was the communication provided by host Stuart. The River Retreat provides easy access to historic towns on both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania side of the Delawaeincluding Stockton, Frenchtown, Lambertville, New Hope, and Lumberville. Great spot.

Great spot to relax and watch the river. Close to many wonderful small towns and restaurants. We used the place as a base for adventure. Kayaking in the Delaware river and biking on the canal trail.
