Surrounded by nothing but the woods and stars, enjoy a late night around the large firepit roasting marshmallows, or set up the telescope for a spectacular view in the clearing, or get up early and listen for the resident owl or watch the deer grazing at dawn.

Kickback and enjoy tranquility located just two miles from the heart of the Nashville shopping and restaurant district.

Enter the cabin from the covered front porch into the living room. sporting a large-screen smart TV and a sleeper sofa for any extra visitors! Off to the right is the main floor bedroom with a king bed and a smart TV. There is also an electric fireplace for ambiance, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room on the main level, as well as a game room with a pool table and a full bath.

The side doors open to several decks. where you will find rockers, lounge chairs, a large wood-burning/charcoal grill and outdoor dining accommodations; or walk around back to the steaming hottub set amidst the woodland sounds and scenery.

LoneStar is set up to handle large families, and upstairs you will find two bedrooms including one with a queen bed, and a child/teenager room that sleeps 4 with twin bunk beds and another queen size bed, along with a full bath.

Be sure to enjoy the cabin itself, which is uniquely decorated with antiques, taxidermy, and artifacts to provide a LoneStar theme worth exploring on its own. This cabin comes with a full selection of Direct TV sports/NFL channels for those who still want the comforts of home on their cabin retreat. Find your inner Texas in the heart of Brown County at LoneStar cabin!

Lovely home, driveway was a show stopper

Property was wonderful, however would have appreciated knowing the driveway could have used a 4 wheel drive vehicle

Quiet Area. Good get away.

Very cabin vibe. Very quiet in the wooded area. We had a good family time even for a brief weekend. Close to town and Hard Truth.

Brown County MTB Getaway

My spouse and two of our friends made our annual pilgrimage to Brown County for some trail riding and stayed at the Lone Star Cabin this year. The location was great – close to town and trails. The cabin had a few quirks, but lots of character that more than made up for it. Weather on the rainy side, and realy appreciated the space to speard out and the big (covered) front porch. Cool place. I'd definitley stay here again.

Holiday weekend stay

The cabin was very secluded, yet close to town, so we liked the privacy. The cabin was accurate to its description. The driveway is steep and I would be worried if there was snow. We were pleasantly surprised there was a Christmas tree. The cabin was cold and you can’t adjust the thermostat. We had elderly parents that need it warmer. All the wood was wet and didn’t burn well in the wood burning fireplace, so we couldn’t get warm. Our only disappointments were no overhead lighting in any rooms, so we arrived late and couldn’t find lamps in the dark and a television upstairs for others to watch would have been a nice addition. Overall we were happy with the space!

Family weekend getaway

The overall stay was good. Loved the location. Very secluded, peaceful and quiet. We had a wonderful visit. The cleanliness of the cabin was not good. As soon as you walk in the musty smell hits you in the face. The downstairs bathroom smells like sewage. It is questionable if the sheets had been cleaned from the prior renters. All the beds look like the sheets had been slept in. When we removed the sheets from one of the beds upstairs there was hair and dirt all over the matress pad. The kitchen curtains have so much dust on them you can scrape it off, the couch had so much dust on the back of the arms it looked like a thick cobweb, the walls are dirty and had cobwebs hanging on them. Granted it is a cabin out in the woods but the place should be maintained and the inside should be clean. For the price per night I would expect better. It really looks like noone has been there for a couple of years. Also you can literally hear every word, movement and sound throughout the whole cabin the walls and floors are so thin. No privacy!! We did have a nice stay the place just needs some TLC.

Was good because of family

Cabin is cute l, but EVERY conversation is heard in EVERY room. Perks - our family was all together, in the middle of nowhere. There was plenty of blankets & towels available. We got to do a scavenger hunt in multiple rooms to find light switches & we were able to cook our own meals! They allow pets for a small fee and deer seem prevelant, as discovered by the amount of poop on the yard. Hot tub didn't work - kept turning itself off. This was a major disappointment since it was one of our top requests when booking a property. Lighting in the house is pretty bad - burnt out bulbs & broken lamps were in almost every room. Necessities were not adequate for our party size; not enough forks to all eat together, only 2 dish towels, 1/4 roll of paper towels, 3.5 rolls single ply toilet paper for 7 people for 4 days/3 nights, 3 dishwasher pods & only 2 garbage bags. Needless to say, a grocery store run was a necessity. We were thankful to all be together and would definitely do it again, just not at this cabin. If you're booked for more than one night or with a larger group, be sure to bring essential items with and when they say you may need 4 wheel drive in the winter, they aren't kidding. This driveway offers scenery & a rollercoast feel with the drop off and straight up incline to get to the cabin.

Location. Location. Location

Amazing spot, close to the park, quiet and private. Most houses I’ve rented seem to have more kitchen basics, you’ll need to bring everything...

Wonderful secluded cabin

My husband and 20 month old daughter stayed at this property for the weekend. The cabin was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. We loved having the privacy in the woods. Our daughter loved walking around the property. We would definitely stay here again!
