About this property
2 BEDROOM apartment in one house! Perfect for travelers and locals!
This house was built out of pure love and that's exactly what you'll feel in this beautiful humble home. Not to mention the location it's in is rich in some of Colombias best art, food and music. After all, Ibague is the musical capital of Colombia. Our late mother built this house in Colombia for us, her kids and future generations. However, Freddy the oldest of 3 siblings lives in Ecuador, Norma our sister, lives with her children and also takes care of the house and me, Danny, am the youngest. I've been living in the states since I was 9 years old and have made my life here and therefore will never really get to live in the house except for when I go visit. We've been trying to sell the house for 3 years and unfortunately do to circumstances in Colombia, people just cannot afford what we're asking for and if we go any lower it would be a loss. So we got together and decided "hey! Why not open it to the world and benefit from it and at the same time keep the house that our loving hard working mother left for us?" This easily became a possibilty for us 3 to take action towards. Even though the house isn't up to date with all the usual modern amenities it still is a gorgeous 3 floor house in which each floor is an apartment made up of 1 or 2 bedrooms, living space, bathroom, kitchen and an old school Colombian laundry room. The house is located in one of the most peaceful cities in Colombia. The city of Ibague is the capital of the region Tolima. Ibague has been recognized for being the music capital of Colombia and it's also known for it's prestigious universities, art and it's also known for producing some of the best food in the whole country. The best part of all is the people in Ibague are some of the friendliest and easy going people you'll ever meet. Our promise with your help and support by giving us your business is to gradually bring the house up to date with more modern equipment and amenities and more importantly to ensure that you're comfortable and taken care of. Thank you so much and welcome to our loving humble home. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we will having you there.

About the host
Your host

My name is Danny Cardoso, I'm 38 years old and I'm the youngest of 3. I've lived in the Unites States since I was 9 years old. I have 2 boys, Alex and Josh who are 19 and 17. I currently works as a Delivery and installation specialist. I look forward to sharing my beautiful home that my siblings and I were left with as a gift from our late mother.
Why they chose this property
This property was left for us by our mother and with tough times my sister can't afford or maintain it on her own and shes the only one left in Colombia out of the 3 of us. My brother has been living in Ecuador for almost 20 years now and doesn't plan on ever using it g the house. The house has been on the market for almost 4 years but the price we're asking for doesn't seem to be affordable in the demographic it's in and if the price us lowered then we'd be taking a loss. We agreed as a family that we would rather keep the house our mother left us by making it into a stream of income that will sustain us and the house for gene to come!
