Located in a peaceful olive grove and surrounded by mature gardens, Villa Oliva is a lovely 4 bedroomed villa with a lovely private swimming pool. Consisting of a living room, dining room, spacious kitchen area, and 4 bedrooms there is plenty of room to relax in comfort.

Externally, the large exclusive garden, surrounded by olive groves lends itself to outdoor living, with shaded areas outside the house for al fresco dining or relaxing whilst taking in the sumptuous view.

The villa is on 2 floors. There is a private gated entrance for the villa.

The comfortable villa is very well equipped. The owner, who is an English language teacher, is very attentive and is available for any queries you may have. She has furnished the villa with care using quality furnishings.

The garden is beautifully kept by the owners. Below the garden is the owners olive grove. They make excellent olive oil every year.

Location

The house is just below the tiny village of Campo, and a few minutes drive from the small town of Gallicano. There is a new restaurant only 20 minutes walk from the house.

The ancient and beautiful festival town of Barga can be seen from the house, and it's only a few kilometres drive from the market town of Castelnuovo with its many restaurants, cafe bars, shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
Local festivals are held in the dozens of villages nearby.

There are many restaurants within a few minutes drive.

Nearby is the famous Devils Bridge.
Lucca is 40 minutes by car or train.
Pisa is under 1.5 hours drive or by train.
Florence is 2 hours.
Cinque Terre 2.5 hours.
There is a train station 10 minutes away.

Friends of Tuscany can help arrange mountain biking, hill walking, horse riding, gorge walking, art classes and cooking classes which are all available locally.

We can also help you arrange a food shopping and have home cooked meal ready at the house for your arrival.

wonderful stay. more extensive and more beautiful than on the pictures. very nice owner who likes to think along and also provides interim cleaning. They also take care of the mid-weekly removal of the garbage. Very hospitable. Beautiful surroundings. Only thing that is good to know: there were a lot of mosquitoes in our time. The road to Campo is also very tight at certain points for a large car. We had to fold the mirrors. But we get us .to get through, but we got used to it.

We stayed in the house for a few weeks with friends and children and our dog. The property is well maintained, kitchen has everything you need, rooms are clean. There is enough space for two families. The view is beautiful and the pool area is proper. The owners communicate promptly and are responsive to requests. We loved our stay, it was really great experience! Thank you!

Wir haben uns in der Villa super wohl gefühlt. Der Pool war sehr sauber und schön. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse war faszinierend. Die Gastgeber war super nett und hilfsbereit. Ein Einkaufskorb mit den ersten Lebensmitteln stand zur Begrüßung bereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schönes Haus mit fantastischem Ausblick
Aufenthalt mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern, viel Platz im Haus, Küche gut ausgestattet, Möglichkeiten zum Essen drinnen und draußen, prima Grill - alles, was benötigt wird, ist vorhanden. Ansprechpartnerin Vorort ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, wenn es mal etwas zu klären gibt. Toller Pool mit Liegen und extra Handtüchern und Sonnenschirmen. Highlight ist der Ausblick von der Terasse vor dem Haus - ein Traum! Umgebung mit Barga und Castelnuovo sehr schön, aber eher ruhiger, Lucca in knapp 1h erreichbar, Pisa etwa 15 min weiter. Großer Supermarkt in Gallicano (15 min Fahrzeit) mit allem, was man so braucht in großer Auswahl. Die letzten Meter Anfahrt zum Haus sind sehr steil (15-20%) und die Durchfahrt ist tatsächlich eng. Ein Auto mit einer Breite von 2,08 m (bei ausgeklappten Spiegeln) passt soeben durch, dann muss man aber auch genau "treffen". Fazit: Ein toller Urlaub, wir würden wiederkommen.

No chance with the road under construction during our stay. Excess at home was difficult with store bought food. We wished we had known when booking that the house was so remote and secluded. It is located in the hills 40 km from Lucca.

Tolle Aussicht und alles was es braucht
Wir waren mit zwei Familien in der Villa Olivi. Die Anfahrt ist wirklich nichts für sehr große Autos, aber dafür wird man mit einem herrlichen Blick belohnt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und im Haus fehlt es wirklich an nichts! Bei unserem Aufenthalt war es noch recht kalt und vielleicht waren wir in diesem Jahr die ersten Gäste. Deshalb hat es ziemlich lang gedauert, bis es im Haus annehmbar warm war und der Wintermuff verflogen war. Aber der Kamin und Pelletofen haben dabei sehr gut geholfen!

Great House and great hosts
We had a lovely stay in Italy. The house and its surroundings are well maintained and you’ll find everything you need in a vacation household. The views down the valley are absolutely astounding. The hosts have been very friendly and helpful but also perfectly discreet. I can absolutely recommend this place for a quiet and relaxing family vacation.

Wir (vier Erwachsene und vier Kinder (4 - 8 Jahre)) haben einen sehr entspannten Urlaub im Haus verbracht. Es ist gemütlich im toskanischen Stil eingerichtet. Die Küche ist vollumfänglich ausgestattet. Die Bilder sowie die bereits abgegebenen Bewertungen / Beschreibungen sind absolut zutreffend - einzig der Ausblick in Richtung Barga ist noch schöner. Besonders möchten wir die Gastfreundscft der Hausbesitzer hervorheben. Cristina und Mauro haben uns mit Rat und Tat von der Ausflugsplanung bis hin zur Autoreparatur unterstützt. Wirklich wunderbar!

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit fantastischem Ausblick
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Durch 2 große Terrassen konnte man zu allen Mahlzeiten Schatten finden. Der Garten ist schön gestaltet und durch einen eingezäunten Pool konnte auch ein Kleinkind frei laufen und das Grundstück genießen. Ein Wehmutstropfen ist die Anfahrt durch eine sehr enge, kurvige Strecke.

Wow what a great place! Perfect for four adult’s and four kids. Gated pool was a huge bonus, when locked we could let the kids explore the large terraced garden whilst the adults took in the amazing views with a glass of wine. Christina left a huge welcome basket and had some great advice on the area. Would love to go back!

Het is een mooie villa gelegen op een berg met enorm mooi uitzicht tussen de olijfbomen! De weg naar het huis toe is echter wel wat tricky, een steile helling van 17% op een krappe weg net breed genoeg voor 1 auto. Maar eenmaal bij het huis is het alleen maar genieten. Bedden zijn lichtelijk aan vervanging toe maar desondanks goed geslapen en de bedden liggen lekker. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. Stenen BBQ die je mag gebruiken is erg fijn. Enorm genoten van het mooie huis, uitzicht en voorzieningen!

Ruhe und Entspannung
Wir haben einen sehr entspannten Urlaub in der Villa Oliva verlebt. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb des Ortes Gallicano, zu dem ein schmaler gewundener Weg führt. Kurz vor dem Haus muss man eine recht enge Durchfahrt zwischen zwei Häusern passieren, die wir mit einklappten Aussenspiegeln gemeistert haben. Das Haus ist geräumig und gemütlich in toskanischem Stil eingerichtet. In der Küche findet man alle nötigen Geräte und Gewürze. Die Schlafzimmer sind groß und dadurch, dass es 3 Badezimmer gab, gab es keinen Streit unter den Kids. Der Pool liegt etwas unterhalb des Hauses und ist 1,50 m tief. Im Poolhäuschen findet man Pooltücher als auch diverses Spielzeug. Hinter dem Haus gibt es noch eine Terrasse mit einer Wäschespinne. Wir durften uns auch an den Kräutern bedienen. Die Besitzer des Hauses haben sich super um uns gekümmert. Cristina hatte uns wertvolle Tipps zur Aktivitäten in der Umgebung gegeben und Mauro hat den Pool super in Stand gehalten. Wir bedanken uns bei den beiden für die tolle Gastfreundschaft und die schöne Zeit, die wir in dem Haus verbringen durften.
