Kalamalka Lake - Suite just minutes away from this Okanagan gem!

Stay in our recently updated ground level suite just minutes from Kalamalka Lake. Huge south-facing windows in the open concept kitchen/living room allow plenty of Okanagan sunshine in! The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, and the second room (den) has a queen size bed as well (the room is quite small, but space to sleep two people and thier luggage). There is also a futon in the back Hallway/laundry area that folds out into a double bed. A private entrance at the front of the house opens to a large front lawn. Our house is located in a family-friendly neighborhood with a playground just around the corner. 33 minutes to Silver Star mountain. Minutes to Kalamalka Lake provincial park with hiking and biking trails, beaches and stunning views! Also included: parking (enough for truck and boat in driveway plus street), full kitchen, bedding, tv, internet, dvd player, (no cable but an Amazon fire stick with Netflix, Crave (basic) and Prime Video). The bathroom boasts a walk-in rain head shower. Relax on the private patio just outside your front door and kitchen, while grilling your favorite meal on your own private BBQ.


There is no A/C but suite remains remarkably cool in the summer. There is a ceiling fan in main living area and a pedestal fan.

Our house is on a septic system. Nothing other than toilet paper may be flushed, including "flushable" hygiene products.

A dog and a cat live upstairs, but have no access to the suite, even when it is vacant.

We have several activities available, such as a badminton set, basketball hoop and miscellaneous. games.

Perfect Okanagan stay

Our family of 5 absolutely loved our stay at this suite. Coldstream was the perfect location for a vacation situated so close to Kalamalka lake. The suite was so well set up with everything that we needed and the hosts were super responsive and welcoming.

We loved our stay here!! The hosts thought of every amenity and it was so well stocked! The beds were so comfortable and the space so bright, open, and welcoming. I cannot think of a better place to stay and it will definitely be somewhere we would love to stay again!

Great stay in Coldstream!

Our family had a great stay here. Location was great for us as it gave us easy access to Kalamalka mountain bike trails, along with quick access to Vernon. The suite is very nice and well appointed. Hosts were very accommodating and couldn’t have been nicer. We will 100% be looking at staying again!

Cute suite in a gorgeous area

Had a great stay with my family. Clean, well stocked and not far from Vernon, but super close to Kal Lake. Hosts were wonderful, came to check in and make sure we had what we needed. Would absolutely stay here again!

Don't Bother

Pros: nice location close to lake and provincial park. Initial communication was great. Well-stocked kitchen, newly remodeled bathroom, tons of board games.Cons: dirty fridge, microwave, stove. Smelly towels, worn out furniture with peeling easy chair and broken off laminate showing particle board in bedroom. Main bedroom doesn't have a functional window. Cold.Spent four hours with VRBO customer service, getting my money back.There are so many other nicer and cheaper options out there. Don't waste your time with this one.

Cozy, comfy, perfect spot!!

Stacey and Chris were wonderful hosts, the property was easy to find and in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. It was perfectly equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The shower was fantastic and beds were cozy and comfortable. Each morning when we left we heard an owl hooting away which was pretty cool. Would highly recommend staying here!!!

Great stay in Coldstream

Absolutely wonderful accommodations. Listing was very accurate. Awesome that the kitchen had basic staples such as coffee, sugar, spices supplied. Beds were comfy. Only thing we did not like was no window opening in the master bedroom for fresh air. Otherwise we had a comfy stay. Enjoyed using the bbq. Neighborhood felt safe and easy to navigate to downtown Vernon, Kelowna and Lumby. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing Vacation!

This was a wonderful place to stay! It was in perfect condition, very well equipped with anything you would need (the owners even lent us their cooler for a picnic). It was very warm this past week but even without a/c, the unit was nice and cool! The location is perfect, just being minutes both from Kal lake and from downtown Vernon. Everything was so convenient! We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to everyone. Thanks for making our stay so amazing!

Perfect for a short vacation

It worked out really well for 5 adults. Only minus was that the one person was sleeping where everyone had to pas to get to the toilet. Our host was very friendly and helpfull. We were even brought freshly picked apricots and eggs from their own chickens. We would definitely come back.

Property was as advertised. No issues. Air conditioning was terrific to cool down with the heat each day. About 5 minutes drive to Kal Beach. Excellent property!

Coldstream comfort

Our VRBO home away from home was just as described. It was clean, in a very quiet neighborhood not far from kalmalka beach/lake, 10 minute drive from Vernon, and perfect for early morning runs and evening walks. Everything that we might need was provided from games, basic toiletries, towels for the beach and ample parking. I totally recommend this property for couples, and families alike. We will return for sure...five stars.

Great Weekend In Coldstream

Great property. Stacey and Chris were great. The property was clean and close to Kalamalka Lake which was a must as we were competing in a SUP race. Had a great time. It was quiet and our hosts provided everything we needed. This spot is a "hidden gem". Would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to lake and in a nice quiet neighborhood.
