Vacation renting our property since 2008! LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION - you found it!

We have loosened our cancellation policy to allow for last-minute cancellations so you can book with confidence should circumstances suddenly change.

Rent our 3 bed / 2 bath vacation home steps from the beach in North Pacific Beach, San Diego's most desirable beach community, The beach directly out front is a favorite family beach with good surfing and swimming with lifeguards on duty. As a crow flies we are 300 ft from the tide line. If you enjoy walking or biking, the north end of the coastal boardwalk starts out front and continues 4 miles southward.

Newly painted and updated furnishings in May 2023. Nice decor, fully outfitted kitchen, linens, and beach gear. Roof deck with 180-degree panoramic ocean views has a propane fire pit to enjoy sunsets and refreshing ocean breezes, and stargazing. A great location for relaxing & entertaining. Enjoy falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Please be advised this home is on a quiet street. Absolutely no loud parties allowed. Hosting celebrations, weddings, reunions & receptions require pre-approval/+fees.

Accommodations: 3 queen beds, 3 twins, 1 bath/shower combo, 1 large shower, plus a hot outdoor shower for beachgoers, an entertainment center, and 4 completely private outdoor sundecks. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and sand toys are provided.

The property is in a special quiet location with beautiful tropical landscaping and is cared for by long-term locals. Walk along the coastal boardwalk - to the many restaurants, bars, boutiques, and grocery stores. Public transportation -1 block to bus #30 to La Jolla or downtown.

Sleeps 8. We count babies and children as part of the total. Additional rates may apply for parties over 4 in the low and mid-season, and over 7 guests in high season. After booking, adding additional guests to your party require the pre-approval of the owner. Additional guests may increase the total lodging fees. Thank you for your honesty. Upstairs unit. What a gem!

Isabelle's home had everything our group of 7 adults needed for a long weekend. The location was peaceful and perfect and the rooftop deck was amazing. We loved having our morning coffee with the sunrise and cocktails at sunset. The bars and restaurants are a 10-15 minute walk away so the sounds we heard were exactly what we were hoping for: crashing waves, sea birds, surfers and beach goers.

Loved This VRBO

We have stayed here in January and February for the last nine years. I loved the dining area that overlooked the ocean. You can pull up the blinds in this room to enjoy an unobstructed ocean view. There's also a balcony with a table, umbrella, and chairs just off this room. The daybed is a perfect spot for napping. The beach and boardwalk are just steps away, featuring numerous shops, bars, and dining options; Kono's is one of our favorites. The lovely owner is downstairs and available to answer any questions. Another favorite feature of this place is the roof. You can go up there to sunbathe, eat, read, and enjoy the fire pit, which keeps you warm on chilly nights. We have stayed here in January and February for the last nine years.

Family getaway

It was a cold weekend in San Diego but we still took advantage of everything around. The 6 of us ate in on 2 of the nights and really enjoyed the dining porch. The short walk to the beach was perfect. We wish the weather had been better so we could have made better use of the rooftop deck. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Pacific Beach Home

The home was in a residential area; a block from the beach. Amazing plants outside. Numerous stairs to access the upstairs rental. It was an older home that had a musty smell once you entered - probably due to being so close to the ocean. Some windows were difficult to open/close. The furnishings were nice and two of the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of toiletries, towels, kitchen supplies, etc. Owner was very nice. It was comfortable but nothing fancy.

Fantastic location with cozy sunroom

Located a block from the beach, if you love surfing, best waves just in front of the property. Kitchen well appointed, extra spices/oil, we cooked dinner a few times with no issues. Bedrooms small but cozy, and on a nice night, sleeping in the sunroom listening to crashing waves is serene. Spiral stairs to rooftop, views are somewhat blocked by other homes and wires. Fire pit is a nice touch. Inside was clean but outdoor area and furniture needed a sweep/wipe to get rid of webs and debris. We could not find a washer/dryer, which would be helpful to wash towels and bathing suits. But for the location, views of the water, and near the boardwalk to many restaurants, it’s an ideal place for a beach holiday.

Wonderful place, great host and the roof patio is awesome!

It was as advertised. Great location. We spent a lot time on the roof patio. It is an easy walk to the beach. They have all the beach amenities like towels and chairs and umbrellas so you don't have to buy anything. There are lots of people walking and hanging out on the beach but the neighborhood is quiet. The host is so helpful and is a great resource. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great home

This Pacific Beach location is prime time for beach or nighttime activity, along with being within a 20 minute ride to Del Mar Racetrack. Host and neighbors were top notch. Outdoor areas are a plus with the great rooftop area, and has plusses of laundry and outdoor shower. Run, walk or play by the beach and this place works out just fine!

Amazing Location

We loved our stay in September at this property. Loved the location, close to beach and a lot of food options. I especially loved the open-aired sun room. After walk to breakfast on the beach, I enjoyed some down time listening to the waves. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Pacific Beach home

Easy beach access Short walk to beach pathway and restaurants. House layout allowed privacy and group gatherings including a wealth of balconies. House was well equipped with kitchen, bathroom and beach amenities. House situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood.

Pictures don’t do it justice. Amazing location. Multiple balcony’s with great views. The space is used well. Slightly cramped in kitchen are if you plan on cooking anything or have a larger party of 7+, but we didn’t spend much time in there. All around great decision going with this place.

Perfect spot for Family Vacation

Our group of adults found plenty of space thanks to the rooftop deck! We enjoyed the amazing sunset views and fire pit. The location was steps from the beach and the hot water outdoor shower was an added bonus. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from great shops and restaurants . The host was very accommodating and and responsive..

Great Vacation!

We took our sons and their girlfriends to PB SD. House was perfect for us to be together and offered spaces for everyone to be spread out. So much within walking distance! Our hostesses were wonderful!

Everything was well stocked. Property grounds and neighbors were all very nice. Sun room was beautiful. Roof top was great too. Had to wipe down outside tables and chairs and hot water button in kitchen was a bit inconvenient if you forgot to activate before you used sink and shower in bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Beach Hoise

Isabelle’s place was fantastic. The view of the ocean was amazing and it was a 5 min walk to the beach. Everything was there for us: beach chairs, boogie boards, towels. The unit was spacious for our family of 4 (2 teens). Everything we needed was there including easy parking for our car. I would recommend this place 10/10!!! We will come back!

A superb experience

This upper level apartment was perfect for two families and the two-year-old. We had a view of the ocean and a quick walk to the ocean. The hosts were kind, accommodating, and the whole visit was excellent. I would highly recommend this property for a short or long-term stay.

Perfect place, perfect location

This property was exactly what we needed and just as advertised. There were five adults and everyone had their own space. The upper deck with fire ring and view of the surf was unbelievable, let alone the other deck for breakfast. The kitchen has literally everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner. Lunch was a short walk to hundreds of choices. Bars and night clubs were all walkable. The two bathrooms and showers were clean and had great water pressure. All towels and linens were ample. The TV had all of the March Madness games. Parking in the driveway was valuable in such a popular area. We walked to the surf every day just one block away. Communication with the property manager has been quick and easy. We loved it. Didn’t really want to leave!

Excellent VRBO!

We have stayed here 6-8 times. We started out staying a couple of weeks and each year we add more days. The owner lives downstairs and is very generous with her time, advice, and beach toys. The accommodations are perfect. My favorite spot is the sunroom which has 4 windows that you can roll up to enjoy a clear view of the ocean view. In addition, there is a table that seats 6-8 people where I sit at my computer or iPad while enjoying the ocean view. I also read or nap on the trundle bed. The private roof deck is great for relaxing, sitting by the fire pit, sunning, or viewing the fantastic sunsets. It is a short walk to the beach and the 2½ mile boardwalk. There are numerous bars, restaurants, surf shops, an amusement park, etc. along the way. Kono’s on the boardwalk at Crystal Pier is one of our favorite places for breakfast or lunch.

We have owned our beach home since 1966 and are happy to share this rare and wonderful location with guests. My mother has long been known as the 'Queen of Hospitality' by her friends and family, so it is perfectly fitting to be involved in hospitality with her home.

We love the beach and grew up surfing the local break out front. Our view from the roof deck spans from Pt. Loma to Pacific Beach Point and is a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the sun, sunsets, or stars.

Why they chose this property

Years ago when my parents parted ways, my single mother of 3 young girls took a big chance and bought this duplex across from the beach in the early '60s. The idea was we would live downstairs and rent out the top floor with the view to help ends meet, which has turned out to be the best idea she ever had. I am a native San Diegan and am thankful for growing up in such an awesome location. It is with great pleasure we are able to share this special location with people that would never have a chance to visit Pacific Beach in such a 'locals spot' sort of way.

What makes this property unique

I have traveled throughout the world and have decorated the beach house with treasures from around the world. The view is wonderful and our fire-pit on the roof deck makes relaxing up top a treasured moment - very enjoyable. Order dinner to be delivered from some of our local favorite restaurants, Thai, Italian or Mexican and enjoy a memorable roof-top dinner - you will not be disappointed. Beach walks, sunsets, R&R! We offer a shopping service to have your vacation rental pre-stocked with your favorite food and drinks.
