Perfect Sodus Point year-round getaway with all you need at the cottage or “in our back yard!” Walk to just about everything; beach access, 5 restaurants/bars, small grocery store, 2 ice cream shops, gift/homemade fudge shop, and a playground all within a short walking distance. Hiking, antique shops, and great little farm market are a 10 minute drive. Del Lago Casino and Waterloo outlet, a 35 minute drive. Seneca Lake wineries, a one hour drive. Did I mention GREAT FISHING? (Ice fishing in winter). Come experience life in a true beach community!

Amazing place

From the day i booked it the process was simple. I needed to add a night and the host changed my dates for me. The cottage was clean and in a relaxing neighborhood. I was provided contact information for the host if i needed anything during the stay. Will definitely rent property in the future.

Perfect location

Don’t want to say positive things as it is our third time there and want the opportunity to return next year. Conveniently located between town and the beach. Nicely stocked and clean. Responsive owner. Like that it is a laid back cottage and not an overpriced home. The house next door is also a VRBO so we coordinate with other families.

Great location,awesome cottage

My family stayed here for a week. This was our favorite stay at sodus in 4 summers the location is great, this property is located next to just about everything you could want. The house was well stocked with everything you need.for a nice stay.

Beautiful area and nice cottage

this was the perfect home base for us for the week of our ladies trip. So close to Lake Ontario and the beach. In the heart of all the orchards and close to other locations. We were happy and loved the area!

Vacation Stay

We had a nice time at this vacation home. It is fairly centralized to the beach and town. It was nice having a downstairs bathroom. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The porch was nice as well. We experienced no problems so didn't need to contact the owner.

Wedding weekend

The property has a lot of potential! Location was perfect. Although it felt like I was gonna fall through the floor in the living room. My wife almost fell down because of the sag in the floor. Needs cleaned! Had an odor when we got there so we had to open windows and light some candles. Outside of house needs pressure washed. All the amenities were good although we didn’t do anything but sleep there 2 nights and make a pot of coffe. If we would have had a group with us I’m afraid we would have fallen through the living room floor. Definitely needs addressed!

Great Communication

Checkin was smooth, house was as described, had a little trouble figuring out one of the AC units but a quick text got straightened out. I’ve been to so many beach rentals that aren’t up to snuff but Alfons really put in the effort to make sure everything was in working order and the house was ready for us. Look forward to renting from him again!

Weekend Get Away

Was a great get away. Cottage was perfect, the only way I would have improved it, was it being on the shore of Lake Ontario, which was a very short walk to and we did. Highly recommend it if you are after a few days away to relax.

Home Away From Home

We weren't sure what to expect when we were updated to this property but as soon as we opened the door to this charming cottage, we knew it was perfect! We are kind of "snobs" when it comes to our drinking water and the refrigerator kept the bottled water (and wine) perfectly chilled! This home was clean, comfy and very spacious! No musty odors and the bathrooms were better than most I've seen! The hosts were easily accessible but there was no need to contact them as they had made sure that we had everything we needed. The location was perfect for walking around town and Lake Ontario! Just a short drive brought us to a wonderful orchard with a cafe' and the town of Pultneyville (which was also charming!). My only regret was that we didn't bring the grandkids. There was so much room and things for the kids to do that we will definitely be back with them next year! Thanks Al and Kris for a great getaway. You definitely did not disappoint!

This house is in a good location, a short walk to town or beach. It was clean and roomy for the 6 of us. The owner was easy to reach and helpful. Good price as well.

Everything I was looking for, but . . .

This property was everything as advertised. I didn’t need for a thing and the house was supplied with everything I needed (as advertised). Location is perfect! There was an issue before I arrived my first day, and the owner text me to let me know. It was resolved quickly and I really appreciated his contacting me. However, the smell of cats is permeated into everything in the house. No amount of my constant spraying of Lysol covered the smell which caused me to have a constant headache during my stay. I considered leaving day one (out of 4 days) but I didn’t as I was 2 hours away from my home. Going forward, I am now aware to ask such questions as to animals living in a property before booking,

Very affordable Sodus Point getaway

This was our second time renting this property. My kids love the location. Across the way there is a place to rent paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, bikes, and paddle boards. Very short walk to the beach. Two thumbs ups for families with teens! Also, there are four beds in the second bedroom for kids. I love going for early morning walks in the village. Our favorite place to stay.
