Our penthouse is located in the heart of Aspen in the historic Brand Building, which is rich in Aspen history, very private and an exclusive address. The Brand Building was built in 1891 and after a meticulous restoration it was featured in Architectural Digest.

Just 2 blocks from Gondola.

It's perfect for that special vacation or gathering. Throughout the condo the designer furnishings are accented by original artwork from the owners private collection. The upstairs living room /loft features a gas fireplace and leads out onto your huge private rooftop deck. Your deck offers plenty of seating for a meal or a front row seat for Aspen fireworks. Perhaps you'll want to BBQ on your professional BBQ grill at your disposal. While you're here, enjoy the spectacular 360 degree panoramic views of the mountains and town.

The Silver Echo additionally offers two private suites with private baths. One master suite offers a king size bed, the other a queen. The queen bedroom has a huge pocket door for privacy. Each bedroom is uniquely appointed with vintage accessories. The large recently remodeled bathrooms, include separate sinks, over sized tubs and separate tile showers. To make your visit as comfortable as possible top of the line bedding including down comforters, Crabtree and Evelyn/Molton Brown bath products and luxurious linens/down pillows will ensure a good nights sleep even after a hard day on the slopes.

The kitchen, has built-ins, a pantry, plenty of barware and cooking utensils. This is a gourmet chef's dream : Subzero refrigerator, Wolf range, granite slab counters and all the utensils you will need to create that special meal.

The winter offers world class skiing for all ability levels, free shuttles to Snowmass, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk ski areas, world renowned shopping, gourmet dining, galleries, and a town rich in culture and history, all easily accessible due to your ideal location.

Summers are equally as enjoyable and beautiful when the activities include fly-fishing, river rafting, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, many special festivals and more. If you come to ski we are just 2 blocks from the Silver Queen Gondola which services Aspen mountain. We are a block away from the free shuttle that takes you to Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, or Buttermilk ski areas.

Propably the nicest place to stay in Aspen!
A very nice furnished place, very clean with every thing you need. You will feel at home not missing anything. The view is spectacular on Ajax. You will see the NYE fireword as a front row seat sitting at the dining table with a glass champagne in your hand. The host is always reachable and a VERY nice, friendly and extremely helpful attitude! We definitely will be back !!

Ideal Downtown Aspen
This apartment is in the perfect location! Centrally located and easy to access all that Downtown Aspen has to offer. The space is spacious, clean, and well equipped with all the necessities. The owner reached out multiple times and even texted me the day we arrived to make sure everything was goin okay. This was my first time in Aspen and I will be coming every year now and staying here!!!

Awesome view of NYE fireworks
My family stayed here through the New Years Eve holiday weekend, during which we enjoyed an unbeatable view of Aspen Mountain's fireworks display. We loved the convenience of this place -- it's just a short walk from the base, steps away from shopping and restaurants. The rooftop deck was the perfect spot for our 2-year-old to shovel snow and build snowmen. A couple of tips to manage some small negatives: If you drive or have a car, the long-term parking is a little far away. Also, if you have a small child, the place has a lot of stairs and some antiques that are not kid-friendly (which the owner kindly warned us about). We simply moved a couple things out of our son's reach and it worked out fine. We will definitely visit this place again.

Good, But Could Be Great!
My wife and I (aged 70) rented this apartment from October 4 – 10, 2020. This Aspen apartment is good but could be so much better. It offers world class views of Ajax Mountain, a premier location and well-appointed bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. But like many people who are endowed with good looks (view), great physiques (location) and haute couture wardrobes (amenities), they often not aware or ignore the things that regular people find necessary and helpful. Here are a few helpful insights from our stay: This historic building has NO elevator. So, if you are allergic to stairs, pass. Upon entering you are faced with schlepping your luggage up a 25-step stairway. Once inside the apartment, you face even more stairs up to the main living section. The apartment temperature is hot, even in October. There is no Renter’s Guide detailing how to work the gas grill, gas fireplace or TV in the Master Bedroom. It would be useful to contain other information like overnight parking, restaurants, hospitals or warning of the possibility of being locked out on the deck when the door closes behind you (that happened to my wife.) The owner’s do not have a local service agent in Aspen who can take care of problems that arise. On our second day we lost Internet service and Comcast TV service in all but one TV. The owner’s solution was to ask to speak by phone to Comcast’s agent in Mexico, India and the Philippines, and/or wait for a cable guy to come and repair. We did not look forward to doing so while on vacation. We passed and got by without Internet. We asked for a day’s rental relief as compensation, but the owners refused saying they had provided a possible solution (see above). This place is charming, but small. It is good for a couple, but four adults would be tripping over each other. Kids under 5 would be problematic, because toddlers could fall through the stairway partitions. This apartment will be rented all the time for the virtues listed but know that we found it to be soulless. No big overstuffed chairs in which to curl up and the sofa in the seemingly cozy alcove is a hide-a-bed. Very durable, but not comfortable. The deck is terrific, but without an outdoor sun umbrella, the sun is too intense to stay out there very long. The deck, teak furniture is sturdy but not at all accommodating… need cushions. We rate this condo Three Stars for location, views and amenities...we would not return.

Hot water
I had no hot water during my stay and had to check into a hotel, while the owner tried to fix the issue and beyond her control I could not shower and had to check into an expensive hotel. I'm hopeful she will fulfill her promise on a full refund and reimbursing me for the move to a hotel.

Nice Condo With Certain Drawbacks
I was quite excited to stay in this beautiful and expensive property. It was decorated, as pictured, with antiques from the mining days and with original art from an artist that I liked. The downstairs bedroom was rather old fashioned in its wallpaper and decor and not representative of today's tastes but I liked the look good enough. However, be prepared that there is a bedroom inside the living area...for us, that meant, I had to call from the downstairs bedroom before going upstairs in case others were not dressed. SO...I could not use the common spaces at night if I were not sleeping, etc. There was a pocket door that could be closed some but that meant no ventilation and natural light for the occupants. It was also hard to get the outside air to circulate on a warm day. There is plenty light on the upper floor but it is all from sky lights so you cannot see the street to watch activity there. Also, the air-conditioned is so loud that we could not talk when it was on and it was needed for us to be comfortable. One of our group is hearing impaired and, for him, this was less than a desirable outcome. Also, I had been traveling for three weeks in Oregon and Colorado. This was the most expensive property I rented and the only one that offered no shampoo or even soap...this was disappointing and I did not, therefore, feel the small comfort things were taken care of. Also, the outside deck is on a large roof...lots of sun and no umbrella. it is not a deck where you can watch the goings on of the street but you do have a mountain view in one direction. It is a nice place mostly...great location, etc. but be sure you consider the parts that were challenging before booking..
