Your perfectly charming get-away in the center of the Texas Wine Country!

The Helen Louise House, located in a quiet neighborhood, is only a 10 minute walk from downtown Fredericksburg's museums, restaurants, art galleries, shops, and wine tasting rooms. The charming 2 bed/2 bath house, built in 1950 and lovingly renovated and expanded in 2016, is perfect for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. You will appreciate the fully equipped large kitchen and wine bar, the sparkling clean full bathrooms, the light and airy screened-in porch, and the large and comfortable living room. Additionally, the property is fully landscaped with a large backyard complete with a 2-person hammock and the sound of a soothing fountain. Enjoy a picnic lunch or dinner outside on the shaded patio beneath a lovely, mature pecan tree. If it's chilly, warm up by the chimenea and watch the yard art in the hen house! You are welcome to enjoy exploring Fredericksburg riding one of the many cruiser bikes available in the garage. You'll love the small touches provided by us, the private owners of the Helen Louise House--from the bathroom amenities baskets to the wine and snack basket, your stay will be unforgettable!

Incredible Amenities

This is our second stay at this outstanding home in a quiet neighborhood. An easy bike ride to all downtown venues or walk if you want to work off all the German food and barbeque. The internal and external amenities are absolutely outstanding making our stay so easy and comfortable. The second bathroom was great for our party of four.We will recommend this home to all our friends/family and look forward to a return visit next Winter.John and Pam

Weekend getaway

We're a "young" senior couple and a "young" senior friend (we feel "young') enjoying a weekend of relaxation and fun in Fredericksburg. We have stayed here before and thought the accommodations were perfect. The location is ideal for us--just a minute up the road from the Rockbox and downtown. In all, a very comfortable and clean place to stay.

Well maintained clean home that is stocked with everything you need for a short term rental. Beth even included snacks, sodas and a bottle of wine! Loved the large bottles of toiletries in the shower and complementary coffee, tea, sugar and creamers. Sitting on the back porch is like being in a park! I definitely recommend this adorable cottage in a beautiful neighborhood close to downtown. This place is a winner!

Hill country relaxation!!

This is our favorite VRBO hands down!!! I love this charming home that has every detail covered. To sit on the screened in porch, listening to the fountain and watching the birds is heaven. Cozy little getaway

We really enjoyed staying at this quiet, quaint home. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The house was fully stocked with anything we could possibly need, including snacks and a bottle of wine! Exceeded Expectations

The house was very clean and on a large lot in the town. The hosts thought of so many things that would make the stay enjoyable. The back patio appears to have recently been enclosed/screened in and, as a cyclist, I appreciated the embedded chains and gears in the concrete. The other couple we stayed with enjoyed the house very much as well and we have begun talking about our next trip and booking the house again.

This was the perfect home for a girls weekend. It was in a great location, nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed including freshly ground coffee beans and a screened in porch! We would definitely stay here again!

What a charming house and neighborhood, convenient to everything, yet away from the traffic and crowds! Our host has thought of every possible need or want in a vacation rental. Spectacular!

This property is outstanding. My family thoroughly enjoyed the charming character and convenient location. Beth provides all the needed amenities, more than most VRBOs, as we've visited several around the world. The relaxation in the sunroom with close views of dozens of birds is the cherry on top. We highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone who visits Fredericksburg.
