Beautiful property

Our stay was amazing. Very off the grid which was perfect. Watched the deer in the morning and late afternoon. Enjoyed the creek & the wildlife. Very restful stay. Exactly what I needed. Blanchard springs cavern is nearby as well & was amazing. Will definitely be back!!

Great place to cool off in the summer.

It rained during our stay and it was too cold for swimming. But This would be a great place to stay if you want to swim in the white river to cool off. This place is 2 miles from the hwy, but worth the drive. Total privacy!

Wonderful little property

The area is secluded at the very end of the road so absolutely no traffic to contend with.it was so nice to be able to drink my coffee and watch as the deer crossed the field in total peace every morning. We never had any issues whatsoever. Its just a very quaint cabin.great for swimming in the crystal clear cold creek and warming by a fire and cooking hotdogs afterwards. Will definitely be a future go to spot to unwind.

Going Back

Beautiful and quiet place to relax. We enjoyed every minute we were there. Take old shoes if walking to creek in morning. The grass seed in September and little bugs get on your feet and legs when the grass is wet and hasn't been mowed in awhile. But you if can wait until dew has dried, beautiful walk. Easy access to the creek.

Remote

If you're looking for a remote cabin, this is it. It's a good location, shared with two other cabins, but you'll need a high vehicle to get there. We drive an Infiniti Q50 and I'm glad we left it at home and brought the pickup. The cabin was clean, with plenty of amenities.

very relaxed

Loved the property. It was clean except for the little red bugs that were everywhere. Not due to owner, just that time of year for those invasive bugs. Not harmful at all. The only thing that I think needs to be mentioned, and it might be and I missed it is the steep downhill gravel road to get to the cabin. My friend came in a cadillac car and we were a little concerned about that. If it had rained a lot or even snowed, not sure about the process of getting in and out with that hill. I had a HONDA CRV and I was concerned. Other than that place was wonderful. Went in the middle of the week and it was so tranquil . We only left to go to town just to have lunch. Saw much needed wildlife and would love to go back in the summer and put my feet in the Sylamore Creek. Hostess was prompt at answering a question I had and very pleasant. BTW those little red bugs were mainly outside, they looked like ladybugs but weren't. We get them at home this time of year also, so was use to them.

Absolutely perfect! We will be back!

We had a great time! This place was remote and we enjoyed privacy and nature while only being about 10-15 minutes from the square! The cottage was super clean and well equipped with everything we needed! The decor and furniture was so sweet and well kept and super comfy that I wanted to take it all home with me! We did NOT want to leave! The creek was soooo fun! My two year old absolutely loved it! Right near the access was shallow enough for her to be able to play without having to worry about her getting in over her head but just a short distance to the right you could fish! We caught several! The drive to the cottages is steep but we had no problems and we drive an equinox. “Not 4-wheel drive”

Get-away

The cabin is just as the pictures show. Beautiful, emasculate, very clean, had all supplies needed. The property is stunning, with beautiful views, the meadow area is groomed to create walking paths to the creek. Already planning a return trip with my daughters.

Beautiful Area, well kept Cabin with a few caveats

Wife, myself and mini Schnauzer spent 3 days at the Cottage. Very clean, well stocked and though there's rocky gravel for quite a while to get there, it's well maintained. A few things to note, more for the owners but something those looking for seclusion and quiet need to know. The cottage sits on beautiful acreage with 2 other cabins next door. You will see and have neighbors out and about around you. The covered porch was a great addition but the door sill is very high above the deck. We both almost tripped going to and from the porch in and out of the cottage. The Window unit was annoying on the wall of the porch, it drowns out the peace and quiet with the constant noise of it operating. The fire pit and plastic chairs are on un level ground, the chairs really need to go, awful. A wood deliverer kindly brought us a couple chairs from next door which are MUCH better and helped a lot. Lastly, the gravel/dirt "trench" to acess the creek from the cottage is dangerous at best unless you're a young athletic climbing type. There's a couple better areas to ascend to the creek but they're kind of designed in line for the other cabins and not the cottage. We also started down our trench on the last day and almost stepped on top of a copperhead snake that struck at the dog but missed. I've never heard my wife scream SNAKE so many times in a row, lol.. I did manage to get it on film and needless to day, it ended our creek exploring but thankfully it was the last day. Overall a great place, but we prefer more seclusion and ideally a hot tub for real relaxation, not a fault of the cottage, we knew booking it didnt have one. If you're more the exploring type, this creek is beautiful just be aware of private property boundaries around you. Management is quick to reply to anything you're in need of, Emily was great.

Our favorite weekend get-away!

This is our second time renting this property and it is amazing. Our favorite thing is hanging out in the creek. So nice to unplug and just enjoy nature.
