This condo is perfectly situated in the Warehouse District close to many restaurants and other venues. The neighborhood is very walkable and it has a safe feel to it. We will definitely stay here again!!!
The property is spacious, clean, and right across the street from the World War II museum.
We rent a lot of VRBO’s throughout Southeast; We could easily do a week with the family out of this unit while visiting New Orleans.
Parking can be a little tricky, but we did not waste any time driving around looking for parking spaces.
The location of this apartment is convenient to wherever you want to go in New Orleans. Heading to the Quarter? Just a short walk. Heading across town? The interstate is just outside. Need to relax? Apartment is quiet.
Great, spacious location! Very responsive owner. We had a great time and it was so close to everything. We could walk to most of our events/activities.
Our visit was for business at the convention center. It was only a few minute walk to the center and some good places to eat nearby. Zero complaints about the property. Would certainly stay here again if the need arises.
Wonderful place to base your New Orleans visit. Close to and easy walk to any activity. Enjoy the spacious rooms with privacy for all guests. Prompt responses from host when needed
Pros - The pictures of the property are mostly accurate and it was immaculately clean. Communication was clear from the property management with some exceptions as noted. Cons- 1) Parking: The property management said there was a parking garage across the street. More details would have saved me a lot of trouble. The parking garage is not across the street and is the parking garage for the WWII Museum. It would have been helpful to know that. The street and surrounding area was completely shut down for paving, so street parking and navigating to the apartment was a game of "you can't get there from here."2) Quiet Apartment? The apartment was quiet until the pavers started early in the morning. That was not the fault of the management. But the second night someone moved into the upstairs apartment and there was several hours into the night of furniture moving and extremely loud banging. They provide a noise machine and ear plugs in each bedroom which tells you something.3) Comfort: The bed in the first bedroom was not comfortable. The mattress had molded to a body shape on the outside edge and a hill in the middle made it difficult to move. The other bedroom has a barn-door type of wall, which would not be optimal with a group or couples.4) The vibe is industrial and minimal. The decor is sparse, though we had what we needed except there is no ice.5) The entrance is not ADA compliant. There are 4 steps up at the entrance that should be noted in the listing. No ramp.
We were not familiar with New Orleans, so not sure what to expect, but were there to attend a University of New Orleans alumni event at which a relative was being honored at the WW II Museum.
Some of the attendees were staying at the Higgins Hotel, and we wanted to be close enough to be able to coordinate activities. This location was above and beyond our expectations as it was just a few steps away from both Higgins and the WWII museum and within easy walking distance of the streetcar as well. The accommodations and furnishings were comfortable and quiet, and we appreciated the multiple levels of security and knowing that pass codes are changed out so former guests don't randomly show up. The first impression of the area outside could be a bit off-putting depending on what one is used to, but it was quiet and we were very comfortable walking to the abundant restaurants in the area at all times of the day.
We had no idea that there were so many military museums nearby!
initially we were a little confused about the check in processed but once we got that figured out, everything was great. the apartment was really really clean. You can walk on the floors with no shoes it was that clean location was a little scary because there was a note left on my car that read - no guns inside vehicle leave on door- but then I realize everybody had that same note and was unbothered…who put it on there I’m not sure, but that’s a little scary, other than that it was nice.
